Well st Francis is catholic and Meteora is Byzantine Greek. We came first historically but regardless the Virgin Mary landed in Greece from Jerusalem lived and died her final years there. Meteora was built before st Francis was alive…. The Greeks of classical Greece Byzantine Greece and even prior at the creators of western civilization not the Roman’s not anyone else it’s that simple.

Sherp was invented by Alexi Garagashyan from St. Petersburg. One of his vehicles was bought by Ukrainian entrepreneur Vladimir Shkolnik. In 2012 he set up a design office in Kyiv to refine the concept into an industrial product. In 2014 he organized production in St. Petersburg. In 2022 the lease agreement with Russia was terminated with Sherp LLC (Russia) trademark and patents. Sherps are now made in Ukrainian and Turkey. So everybody's right. Russia 🇷🇺 and Ukraine 🇺🇦 plus Turkey 🇹🇷 👌.

Since Norway reached the north pole first, and planted a flag, all of the arctics should belong to Norway. Nahh. three hundred years ago it would have been like that. But I do think that Norway should be given a bigger slice of the area than its arctic coastalline would merit.

Really bad (or lazy) choice to use Mercator map for showing the dotted line difference in distance. If each a few hundred kilometres in real distance you just misrepresented this proposed shipping route's distance by an enormous factor. @3:40 I would have been impressed if you thought of this and presented a top-down globe shaped map for your diagram.

People have been criticizing so much for purchasing so much land; but they don't say it was a desert good for nothing. They also say he waz stealing the water. They don't say that there was hardly any water in the region. I was falling for the lies.

I wonder when St. Petersburg became Ukraine??? Production is located in Russia, the Kiev branch is only involved in promotion on the international market and has nothing to do with the design and production of Sherpa.

The Antarctic nations are Chile Argentina New Zealand Australia Madagaskar South Africa + Lesotho (because they are an enclave, and it's not their fault) Have I left out anyone, some island nations perhaps? OK I forgot the UK because of the Falklands. Russia, China,, etc should be only guests there IMO because the are not Antarctic nations. And Russia wants to control the Arctic...

There is misinformation on this. I'm sure the official opening was 1962. Second of all it was 956 years old in 1867 and the Canadian Pacific Railway was completed in 1885. The route on the map is incorrect. There is a need to bring most of the TCH up to Interstate standards. There is still too much 2 lane on it. Although there is more than one highway with the TCH badge, we need a more extensive system.

I have driven from Halifax to Vancouver 11 times. On the first trip, I was 11 years old, and I was the navigator. My Dad taught me how to use the map, and I was in charge of getting all the turns correct. However, this video has a LOT of misinformation. Canada was NOT a brand new country in 1950. It became a nation in 1867. By the time the TC H was begun, it was nearly 100 years old. Also on one graphic in the video, it shows the highway travelling along the north shore of the St Lawrence, and across Labrador to the north end of Newfoundland. It does NOT go there. It stays on the south shore of the St Lawrence through Quebec, east of Quebec City, and then turns south through New Brunswick, crosses into Nova Scotia, and then NE to Sydney, where the ferry will take travellers across to Newfoundland. Not mentioned in the video, is the branch which angles from Hwy 1 to head north west on Hwy16, to go to Whitehorse, Yukon. There is also another branch in Nova Scotia, which goes SE to Halifax.

Your route maps are laughable. The actual route through Ontario and Quebec generally hugs the north shore of Lake Superior. Then from Montreal it is never north of the St Lawrence River. Until the Trans-Canada was opened, almost any road traffic between Ontario and British Columbia would involve at least one diversion into the United States. While the highway is scenic and important, I would argue that Winnipeg and Calgary are industrial hubs because of the trans-continental railways and air routes; not the trans-continental highways. For industry and commerce the north-south highways into the United States have been at least as important.
@tyfrank3427
@tyfrank3427 3 месяца назад
I do agree with that. Winnipeg and Calgary were industrial hubs before the TCH. However, the highway is very important and needs upgrades. I would argue that we need a Trans-Canada system of both North / South as well as East /West routes. however, his route map to St. Johns on the East coast is actually a reasonable proposal and is considered. If Quebec Route 138 is extended all the way, it would make a fixed link possible between Labrador and Newfoundland. That has actually been proposed. The feds have to step in for that to happen, and that certainly won't happen in the near future.
