I love what you’ve said in this video and I’d gladly watch its extended version☺️ And it’s true that you may feel your best later in life. Physically, I feel my best now and I’m 45; bike to work, bike home, usual household activities are my „gym”. I believe more young women should hear our middle aged voice not to worry too much about passing time 😉 Style and beauty-wise, too.

It's great to have you back! I always enjoy your videos. This one really struck a chord with me, as I recently had to leave my job due to toxic environment and I'm taking time to heal from it now while looking to change directions for a healthier career. It's amazing what taking a step back to reasses can do...taking those walks, connecting with nature/neighbors/friends/yourself! Looking forward to more of your content! As to service suggestions, I think it would be great to be able to do a 1 on 1 video call to assess body type and what styles would be most flattering and then finding great second hand deals based on that and your brand knowledge. So maybe it would be a one or two time video so less time, and then you would find like 5 or so pieces for that person. Then it could continue from there depending on the person's needs/wants. Whatever you end up doing, best of luck!!

@@BriLamberson Hi Bri, as far as some of my second hand blunders go, I think some of the items just didn’t look right on me when I received them. This wasn’t something I could tell of course when I initially saw them online. Over time I am becoming more simplified with my wardrobe and I pick mostly basics. I think the challenge with basics is making them somewhat edgy in order to look current and not stale. I like your approach to styling basics, example- tees and jeans and a third layer. @@lyndanelson4303 Oh totally have had that happen to me. It's the most disappointing isn't it when it's on Poshmark, because you can't return it. I love that basics can be styled in so many different ways. Do you use Pinterest as a source of inspiration?
@@BriLamberson Hi - if you receive this reply twice I apologize in advance. I thought I had replied a moment ago but I don’t see it 🤫. Yes I use Pinterest, but mostly for hairstyle inspiration. I have some overall style pics saved but I should experiment more in this area. Interesting that you mentioned Poshmark because most of my mistakes took place on that website, and yes no returns are allowed other than damaged items. I have also had some purchase mistakes on threadup as well. Is there a better way to find the style you’re looking for on Pinterest? I typically would search like “basic edgy style “, something like that. Thank you Bri!

For Sézane I just go to Sézane site.. vintage furniture is what seems harder...I have some antiques and get disappointed when I go out furniture shopping...I love wood but the furniture out there isn't what it used to be...I like some things from Four Hands for new stuff

Bri this was a fun vlog, it feels like we just had a nice hangout. I was so excited to see your video pop up! Breaks are a great thing, and even though you were on a break you definitely were working and hustling! As far as styling goes, I’ve been tempted to sign up with you and another stylist that I follow. I love style as a hobby and I think I’m pretty good at styling myself using what I’ve learned from watching videos and other online content. I love to shop too and I am fortunate that I have a pretty great wardrobe. So I’ve been thinking what would get me to sign up and spend money to work with a stylist. And what I’m imagining is a complete commitment NOT to shop, only using what I have and not getting tempted to add anything new. So basically coming up with all the outfits and working around the holes without creating them if that makes sense. I’m probably not the norm though, so idk if this would work as a program. I am also overwhelmed by the idea of setting everything up on a wardrobe app. I don’t have any ideas of how to work around that obstacle. Another thought I have is that my life is simple, and while I love to dress up and create occasions to do so, it’s not a necessity for me. So I wonder how can I justify the expense? So there are my thoughts, I hope it’s helpful for you, I can’t wait to hear about what you are planning. Thanks for this video, you are lovely and inspiring as always! -LeeAnn H
Wow! I absolutely love this feedback and it’s so great to hear your thoughts. Thank you so much for welcoming me back with such open arms and for being generous with your insights. Just as a sidenote, when I work with my styling clients, we sometimes don’t do any shopping or we do very minimal shopping. It really all depends on what you want out of the entire experience. But I can see where working in a four - six week program wouldn’t really support your needs. So I like the idea of doing something that would require less shopping and more styling. When I work with my clients virtually, we do a wardrobe styling set up in their bedroom near their closet on zoom. It sounds like it wouldn’t work, but it actually really does! About half of my clients are virtual every year! Are you on Instagram by any chance?

Yes ! It's like my herbal tea obsession. I'm buying boxes of tea because I feel if I drink them I will experience the feeling the packaging evokes . More often than not , I end up not liking the actual flavor of the tea when I drink it 😂
Oh that’s interesting. Who tea companies had such great marketing. I know what you mean though. So far have any teas delivered on the promise? Curious to know which tea has been the yummiest?
@@BriLamberson As a 48 year old woman and mom of 4, each of the lessons that you shared resonate with me deeply. Many I had to learn the hard way and often felt like I was starting over. One I would add is that I have learned is to trust my instincts more. There are always going to be people pushing "fashion rules" and trends in our faces and making us think that we cannot wear certain things because of trend cycles, or body shapes or age, but we can't let these things knock us off course if something feels right.
I was never really into trends but I felt I had to have new things in my 20’s especially because it made me feel more attractive. I would tell my younger self to not view your self negatively, focus on how your style reflects you and have fun with your clothes. There are so many pieces I wish I didn’t give away. Even recently because I read if you don’t wear it after so many months you need to get rid of it. Your advice is spot on and a more in-depth video would be great 👍 So glad to see you in action ❤❤❤
