Enjoying today because no one is promised a tomorrow!
We make our videos just for fun and to capture a few memories. We love exploring on our motorcycles, nature, camping, animals, food, working out, creating time lapses and just having a good time. You're more than welcome to join us on our little adventures :)
To live is the rarest thing in the world, most people just exist.
If you have a problem with antifreeze leaking out, do not rush to remove the bypass hoses as advised on the forums. Just check to make sure that there is pressure in the cooling system, touch the radiator hose on a warm engine, the hose should be hard from the pressure and soft when the engine is cold. If your hose is soft on a hot ICE, this means that the thermostat filler cap is not pressed tight enough. The fact is that the plastic part of the thermostat consists of low-quality elastic and antifreeze leaks between the valve and the thermostat housing. The solution is to put a rubber ring under the thermostat cover or replace the thermostat housing as a whole.
@@rickbrown4039 Hi, that was a long time ago but pretty sure it was from Canadian Tire. You can see the size in the video 5/16". I'm sure you can find cheap ones on Amazon. There is an internal filter on the tank and we don't bother with a second filter anymore. Good luck with yours.
@@Ron-j3t Hi, honestly never thought about it since we ride and the fuel doesn't stay in there very long. Otherwise it's stored indoors. Never heard of any issues or had any ourselves. Good luck
I really enjoyed this video. Thank you! I can't believe they sold you that wet and rotten wood and you had to spend all that time drying it out. I'm getting a new DR650 this weekend and am looking forward to motocamping.
That's exciting! Thank you. Yes...we haven't had a very good experience with provincial parks and the firewood in general. Hard to beat hardwood dried like at home.
@@SWATT101 Very likely, we actually did stop at the airport couple weeks ago watching a new pilot trying to muster up the courage to take off. We were in Bancroft area again last week looking for a quiet place to swim and it was a complete failure 😂
What a beautiful campsite, it is so green, here in Spain you can't make a fire. You don't have the chance to spend the night with your friends surrounding a fire at your feet. See you on the channels. Medel
@@manmedel It was so noisy because of the bull frogs but still nice 😀 Fire 🔥 is a must when camping! That's too bad you can't have them there, makes for great story telling. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.
My seasonal trailer was located very near two ponds and there was many a night I went to bed with my ear plugs in just so I could get some sleep thanks to the frogs !!!
We completely understand 😆definitely makes you think twice about camping next to a pond! Lovely during morning/day/evening but a few quiet hours to sleep after the fire burns down ranks pretty high on our wish list. *T4W*
i like this setup for the aux lights especially with the option to turn them off and them being on the circuit and only turn on when the ignition is set to on; do you need a fuse or something? that's not too much power drawing from that light in the speedometer?
Hi and thanks. It's a very low draw from the LED's and that circuit is already protected with a fuse. We've done this setup on quite a few different DR's and never had an issue.
Hi Guys, I always admire your sense of adventure and exploration. This lake almost seemed to be in the middle of nowhere - like finding Timbuktu! I'm curious - what was the fascination to check this particular one out? Such a great area to explore. Thanks for posting.
Hello & thanks! We love exploring and going somewhere new. There is no method to our madness 😁 we just pick one on the map and go for it. There are endless lakes and bodies of water in our area so it's fantastic. Ride safe out there.
I thought it said McNaughty Lake😂. We have water shown on maps it's rarely ever there. Some WW2 German POWs were held here near Phoenix. They thought they escape by swimming across a river. They found only sand and rocks.
Great beach yes but water was still frigid! We put our feet in last week and it's still pretty chilly...hoping for some consistent warm weather to kick off the swimming season 😎
We were pretty excited to try it out 😎 it would be perfect on small dirt bikes. We wish we had more land so it wasn't so short but definitely better than nothing!
With your lowered DR and low suzuki seat what is the seat height? Trying to figure out if it would be low enough for me lol . Cheers Glad to see y'all enjoying "spring"
Hi and thanks! Yes very nice to get the bikes back out there. We had snow again the past couple of days so it was short lived but it should melt off quick. Rider weight and inseam are factors. His bike set at stock settings is at least two inches higher than her bike on lower setting with low seat. If you have 28 inch inseam, it's definitely doable (reaching on one side/foot). Her bike is sitting around 31" with her sitting on it. If you check our other video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3P8jeKauzfc.html at 1:10 it shows her sitting on her bike and then at 1:50 sitting on his stock setting bike for a visual comparison. Spec wise, my Vstrom 650 has a lower seat height than the DR650 but the Vstrom to me felt taller and top heavy when compared. The DR650 seat is narrow compared to wider Vstrom seat which spreads/raises your legs more. The DR650 is a great bike. Ride safe out there.
Thank you! We're so much happier here than in the city. Instead of hearing traffic, sirens, yelling and all the noise pollution we hear nature. Tranquility is priceless.
Squats are a great workout! We try to stay mobile so we don't lose it. It's all white again outside this morning, waiting for better weather to start riding! *T4W*
I love seeing people ride trails and roads i know. Wish my wife would ride a DR with me but she is bent on a Rebel 300. My seat height scares her and shes way too inexperienced for my 1300... technically so am I lol
It's a gorgeous area! The DR650 used to be intimidating (as a new rider coming from a DR200 - also a great bike!). It's crazy what a difference just stock adjustments and a lower seat can make to how a bike feels. What type of bike is your 1300? Ride safe out there *T4W*
Wood stove in the shop, nice! you've trained your wife well. she stokes the fire while you prep her bike, as well as yours for the 2024 riding season. Now that I'm watching this video after 4 minutes,,, she's doing all the prepping for the 2024 riding season! HA!!,,TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAMS WORK! You Guys are a perfect couple.Love your videos, cant wait to see whats to come of the 2024 riding adventures of Sum for Seb. HAPPY TRAILS!!
We love the wood stove in the shop, keeps it nice and cozy down there (once it warms up 😁). Thank you very much for your kind words! Hope to see your adventures this season too, ride safe out there.
Hey, they're from Amazon. www.amazon.ca/FXCNC-Aluminum-Adjustable-Compatible-2011-2020/dp/B092HTS23V We like them but they do require minor adjustments to make them fit perfectly. We have a video about it. Good luck
We're just coming out of hibernation with the nice weather just around the corner. It looks like Spring will have a very slow start with the weather forecast. Always fun to do small upgrades as long as they work ;)
Very interesting and beautiful. My husband and I plan on taking the ferry ride round trip on our vacation this summer...do they provide instructions on the ship in both French and English?
Hi and thank you! Yes it was such a beautiful trip, we don't feel that the camera fully captured it. One of the crew members was bilingual. It is definitely more French oriented into Quebec but I wouldn't be worried about it. As an English person, I do find that if you smile, say "parlez vous anglais" (do you speak english) and say "merci" people will try harder to assist you when you're making an effort. We hope you both have a fantastic trip this summer! Ride safe out there.
Hey guys, long time no comment. Hope you're doing well! Great video and collection of your '23 highlights. Hope you'll have plenty more to come in '24.
Hey! Winter is taking forever to go away. Still over a foot of snow on the ground. Bikes are ready and so are we. Thanks for checking in, hope you're doing good as well. Have a great weekend!
@@Sum4Seb Can't complain! Sold the CRF to a couple that are taking it around the world! And now in the market for a DR650 myself. Found out I love tinkering on bikes as much as I like riding them, and the old "manual" engines appeal to me much more. Cheers and hope your weekend was time well spent.
It was on the DanMoto site back then but that was a few years ago. Just checked and we don't see it on their site anymore. You could check Amazon, fits DR with similar price range.
@@kilocharlie317 no sorry that was way too long ago, everything you see in the video is all we have. There's a mid pipe part # at 1:30 in the video but that's about it. Good luck with your search.
Hi, you must have missed all of 2023 🤣 time flies when you're having fun! Got the DR's end of last season. Hope we have a short winter/early spring. Have a great weekend!
@@sonnys8535 yeah we had those black 2012's but we weren't comfortable on them and will most likely not do anymore long road trips so we got DR's in October of last year. Probably just going to do day rides for now. Things might change again lol nothing set in stone...
