My new favourite channel! Exactly what I was looking for. I want to make every recipes! We’ve been plant-base for about 5 years but we have teens now that are listening to their friends & feel like they are missing out on meat. Your recipes are w hat I need to get them on board again. I wish we started when they were babies......but we didn’t know host we know now. Thank you for such interesting videos filled with lovely conversation & recipes. Long life to your channel. Keep inspiring us!
Oh awesome!! I’m so glad you loved it and I totally approve more garlic 👍🏼😋 I just started soaking chickpeas this afternoon for some falafel too! I hope you love that one just as much.
Thanks for your post on this tasty ingredient! I would ask anyone though if looking for the health benefits to please check out Dr. Berg and others on this. Consuming too much fortified nutritional yeast can make you very sick if using it for b vitamin boosting. Using in recipes might be one thing but should not be conflated with natural benefits when trying to heal the body. Many of the ingredients used to fortify nutritional yeast are toxic because they are put through man made processes and reek havoc doing the opposite of what a lot of people are trying to accomplish.
Wow what a beautiful spot and a great video…truly wonderful to watch and amazing how you can put these vegan meals together and they all looked so tasty especially the portabella mushroom burgers. By means take us along on more of these wonderful trips! How did you get video of both 🎉you swimming?
Thank you! We’re glad you liked it! 🥰 we propped up our phone inside the cabin and set it to time lapse while we swam 😉 we could have jumped off the dock but we weren’t sure how deep the water was lol
@@drnimmyprabha yes you can use mashed pumpkin, carrots, or even squash. You could also add in some mashed banana or applesauce. Just make sure that whatever you use is not sweetened and doesn’t have any additives. I hope that helps to give you some ideas of how to adjust these to work for you!
I love this video and all our creative meal ideas! We’re going on a long road trip in a few weeks so I’m busy planning and prepping. I’m very eager to see your lentil hummus recipes and the pesto pasta! I have an odd question, but what size are your overnight oats jars and where did you get them? I can never find the right size for me and my husband.
@@carriecarter08 I’m so glad you loved this video and the timing worked out with your own road trip! I usually use a 16oz jar for Bryan’s oats and mine is a smaller portion in an 8oz jar. There is usually room in the 16oz jar unless I fill it up with a whole banana or other fruit. I tend to do 1/2 cup dry oats and 3/4 cup milk for the 16oz jar. My portion is half that amount. Hopefully that can help you gauge the size depending on the volume of oats you use. I got the 16oz jars years ago at a dollar store actually and the 8oz is a jar I’ve reused from jam I bought. Canning jars are often sold in boxes of 12 (Walmart, Amazon etc) but if you want just one or two definitely look at dollar stores or second hand shops. (If you want to splurge a little… I kind of wish I had jars where the spoon folds inside or attaches to the outside so when you’re done eating you don’t have a loose dirty spoon to put somewhere 🤪)
@@TastyThriftyTimely Thank you so much! I’ll definitely have to look at the dollar store! I have canning jars, but they’re never the right size. A spoon folding inside would be so nice too. It is annoying having random spoons loose when traveling, lol.
Aw thank you! I’m so glad you enjoy these videos that are a little different for us. It’s good to know we can take you along when we experience something new! 💕
Thanks for sharing your holiday. I really enjoyed watching it and loved all your ideas for meals while away. Thanks for sharing. Your smiles always cheer me up. ❤
I love seeing creative vegan meal ideas like these cottage-style dishes, theyre perfect for a cozy night in! Im sharing this, come check out some delicious plant-based inspiration!
I've been told too many vegan jokes. Recently your channel has become an outlet for them. I will endeavor to stay on topic and real in my quirky humor. Your recent tofu factory and this vegan at the cottage episodes are like mini documentaries. Excellent work you two!
Haha no keep them coming! Maybe we’ll stockpile them and do a short video of your best vegan jokes 😝 we’ve had people quote them back to us and say their enjoying reading your jokes too 😆 we’re glad you’ve liked these little doc style videos!
How did you find that specific cottage? :-D It's been ages since I've been up to one, and the one your chose, even thought it's quite a ways from you -- I don't even know if I could navigate that hillside myself -- looks absolutely gorgeous. Also... I can't help but think of a character you played with a GIANT sweet tooth who'd love those s'mores... ;-) But, seriously, that seems like the absolute perfect place to stay a few days, if one's able. (And I'm on the opposite coast! lol)
Thanks Matt! She would definitely love those s’mores (maybe dipped in pickle juice or something though) 🤪 I’m glad you enjoyed watching our little getaway 💕
This was beautifully, enticingly filmed, and it incited such envy in me! What a wonderful trip and what simple, satisfying meals you were able to enjoy amid these fantastic vistas! Thanks for letting us tag along, and for giving us such great ideas for what to eat when on cabin adventures of our own!
Another fantastic what beautiful Kathryn & Bryan ate in a day with those awesome & 😋 vegan meals. Love 🥰 the video and TastyThriftyTimely. Love 💖 Kathryn and ❤ Bryan.
@@evansimons9163 This video is meant to just make you aware that not all nutritional yeast is fortified. You can find more information about the nutritional differences from qualified nutritionists, doctors, and scientists who have more merit to go into detail about the specifics 👍🏼
Absolutely loved this recipe and the combos involved, looks a flavour bomb 💣 👅 Really can’t wait to see the fish burger using celeriac and only just realised too that this is the root of celery. Keep up the tremendous work guys. James
Um....I am day 5 of a 7 day fast and this is the video that gets recommended to me? NOT fair 😞 This burger will be mine soon....just not today....tomorrow...or the day after.
Those mushroom caps are so large, I honestly thought for a second you were going to use THOSE as the buns for the burgers. :-D lol You have a specific bean salad of your own devising that you'd pair with this?
Haha they are! I love portobello mushrooms. I make bean salads all the time but I’ve never actually made an official recipe for one so it’s on my list!!
@@TastyThriftyTimely That's awesome to hear! :-D I haven't had any portobello mushrooms in ages, but I remember having some absolutely wonderful meals made with them. I'd have to see exactly what my parents cooked with them. (And make vegan adjustments for that, obviously!)
Kathryn had I thought that through I may have but I didn't. I soldiered on eating it. However Bryan's demolition of the burger while providing supporting commentary was impressive indeed 👍
