Far out! 😄 I can just imagine the smells... Have you ever considered taking the items to a laundromat? It would only be a couple of dollars and you'd be able to fit a lot into one wash, plus set the machine to a really high temperature! That way you aren't compromising your washing machine for bed bugs or residual smells... Keep cool!! 🍹

Yikes, Melissa!! Please be careful with these units. Maybe wear a mask so you're not breathing anything harmful in. I would just toss out any clothes, don't risk it by washing them. TFS 💖

Hi Melissa and Paco , I love how the some people in your comments live vicariously through your videos it’s funny how they practically feel that they were with you going through the unit . Now that’s what I call caring subscribers them being worried about you over heating , the nasty odours and transporting the items in your car you are adored by many .😊

Quite often homeless people are forced to live out of their storage units. Thus the smells and paritally used food. Note the items lined up along the top edge. They go late at night to sleep inside the units. I used to own a retail store that was next to a storage unit and I witnessed it all the time.

I literally had a flash back to this time my husband brought a homeless man home, so that he could shower at our house. We put him up in a motel for the night. It took three weeks to get the smell out of our house, and the motel refused to give us back our deposit and told us that we should be happy they didn't sue us for damages. We felt so bad for the guy, because he was so nice. I wish we could have done better by him.

Hi Melissa. Your a bigger person than me. I wouldn't go thru any of that. I would have tapped out as soon as I opened that unit. At least you can make your money back with the suit cases. Between the heat and the smell, yep I would have definitely tapped out. Thank you for sharing

So glad you’re wearing gloves 😵‍💫 A mask probably wouldn’t hurt either. 🤢 I’d Lysol everything down before I did much of anything with any of this stuff. 😬 Honestly, if it were me, except for a few items to donate, I think I’d pitch the better part of this risky storage unit. I don’t think I’d wash anything in my own washer. If I was gonna wash any clothing from this unit, I’d pour boiling boiling water over it and hang it out to dry before using my own machine…or maybe take it to a laundromat? But really, is this worth all the extra work?

To be honest. I don't think the storage units are even worth it. With all the time and labor you put into them, along with putting yourself at risk for contact with drugs, bugs, diseases, etc. I really don't see how you're making any type of real profit. It looks to me like that person might have been living in that unit. Some people do that instead of sleeping on the streets or in a homeless shelter. Some shelters are terrifying and pretty hard to stay at.

Some people that lose their storage units, end up losing important paperwork or like really sentimental things that are irreplaceable. The smell would have killed it for me...sorry it was so bad. Glad you decided not to do out door ones like this anymore. You don't want to get overheated and be sick. I did once, it was no fun having chills on a day it was 104 in the shade. That was when I lived in Carthage Mo. Years ago. Love my home town in upstate ny best...can't stand the heat. Be careful and stay safe😊💜

@@TheCheapChick, I was going to message you about it as well, silver from India can be pretty pure and expensive. Because of the tarnish, it makes me think it's pure silver and not faked for the look. Also the thing that had the holes in it from the same bag, may go inside it as a strainer of some sort. 🤞 For you that it is real.😊

❤ the churches are so great. This person was a rich one. Health diminishes as they age and they will either grab hold or let go. Little kiddie hard plastic swimming pools are great donation items as well as used socks. Tent poles are super, torn coats. You are so great! (I probably should have said that first). I’m glad I found your channel.

Melissa. I used to do this also. U should be wearing pick resistant gloves in case u come across any uncapped needles. Whether it's drugs or for insulin . You never know!!

It might be a good idea to carry a coffee can with a lid, to dispose of old syringes and needles, then take them to a pharmacy,I think they can dispose of them

I'm with you hate spiders and beetles you are so brave doing that yourself. Must have been hellish in the sun as I get older I find I have less tolerance for the heat. You know your Pierre Cardin case if genuine may pay for that unit and the bottle cooler from India may only be plate but you never know. Hope you are recovered from it and didn't need the Epsom sales in a cool bath. Hope Rob, your lovely mum and your singing dad are all well and gorgeous Paco 😅❤

Buy yourself a USB fan that can be used outside. Also, Temu sells a great usb neck fan. Also, get one of those silly, yet practical, umbrella hat. I live in Ocala FL and it's hot here too, so I can relate.

At least there was some stuff you could sell that will make it a bit worthwhile. I got my first Temu order today. Pleasantly surprised with all of the stuff - all really good. I do think UK prices seem a bit higher than US but still good buys. I wouldnt have ordered if not for you xx ❤

I'd recommend any time you're going through a storage unit to wear some kind of gloves in case you run into used needles or something in there. Or even just for potential yuck. Better safe than sorry. People just toss stuff in there and you never know what you're going to find.
