What I love most about your channel is that one day we'll see a $1 candy from the discount store, the next a $5 bowl of noodles from a street vendor, and the next a magnificent luxury meal like this. Thank you for all the pleasure you give us.
I love watching these videos, it's not just a meal but a show of culinary presentation, the chef's delicacy with all the ingredients is incredible, it must be a very good feeling to see someone make your dish with all that talent!
I'm always surprised that the flattop's dont discolor more often in teppanyaki grills. They always seem so clean and seasoned compared to your average back kitchen flattop.
They clean between each item and don't allow food to burn. They probably use a high-quality cleaning method at night. The Japanese are meticulous about cleaning. Also, sauces were heated up in their own pot and applied to the food off the grill. Whereas we North Americans would do it on the grill. The Japanese cooking techniques are way different than ours in a Restaurant setting. There is not rush, panic just a concentration on preparing the food to the best.
I find it satisfying that he gives half of each thing to each one, you don't get one yam cut in two but one piece of each of the two yams you know? So just in case one of the two taste better for some reason, no one is missing out on it
@@michaelmurda8899when I went to an international market and seen a whole aisle of bottled yum yum sauce. I was so confused. I always thought they just mixed some concoction up in the kitchen. Nope it's an actual thing called yum yum 😂😂
Expensive meal but it looks very good and the chef really did the presentation without being showy. It must have been good Ms. Bacons was really happy! 😊
They’re a whole part of the food community where it’s just people do these sorts of things. You can probably find tons of food restaurants with these videos!
All that food looked soooooo good. My favorite part is watching the artistry of the chef as he prepared your meals. So amazing. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
The unknown powder might be MSG, (MonoSodium Glutamate). Its to intensify and enhance umami flavors in sauces, broths, soups and many more foods. But is used in fried rice as well. A little fun fact :)
@@JabadSBS MSG isnt a low quality ingredient? its like using salt and pepper or any other seasoning in food, the idea that MSG is cheap or bad for you is stuck in racism around asian food
@@PulsarPuppy MSG is a food enhancer used literally to enhance food richness in poor food. It is even dangerous to eat a big quantity of it. And leave me out of that "racist" card trick, and take a look in wich foods you can find MSG instead: fast foods, instant noodles and low quality meals. A restaurant with kobe feef should have the means to make a rich and flavorful traditional rice without MSG.
@@JabadSBS you are furthering racist propaganda around asian cooking. msg is a naturally occurring substance in foods like tomatoes and cheese. it's a great flavor enhancer and seasoning just like anything else. it can, should be, and is served in many fine dining restaurants.
@@pansypresents2103 please tell me HOW saying that the use of a food additive in a meal is a sign of bad restaurant quality is racist? Are you completely mad?
Thank you for posting this video 🎉. You have a new subscriber. Keep up the great work 🎉. This was an amazing show. A festival for the eyes 👀, & palette as well.
Do you think they just eat in silence 24/7? Well then again Japanese people aren’t annoying so being quiet is more polite. Unless I’m wrong I’m in Texas lmao
@@pinkponypuppy9586 I don't think they eat in complete silence. Maybe it's for the video, maybe it's not, who knows. But I just like the way how the video concentrates on the food reviews and the food sounds only. That's all
i was always wondering how long of an apprenticeship that each individual needs to partake in to become such a chef and or if it is different from other fine dining restaurants in Japan. great video! now I'm hungry
Wow! I still love the Mobile Restaurant one of my favorite. Love to see one here in the States. Philadelphia as a pilot program. Enjoy, the most expensive steaks. Love the quality of this video. Great job. It is beautiful and crystal clear. God bless.
saya berasal dari indonesia’ selalu nonton chanel youtube ini. mereka menikmati maknan bukan hanya mknan restoran tapi maknan kaki lima pun mereko coba contohnya di bbrapa negara : thailand ,malaysia , jepang ,korea
Yeah, it's the best of the best beef available. But, 280 dollars is still a lot of money of a lunch for two people. Sir, 280 dollars is the minimum wage and also my monthy budge in my country (Brazil). Tha's how far from my reality is to eat there.
Oh my. I want all the fat cubes that were rendered. Thats my absolute favorite part of any steak or prime rib ! Lol A friend who is a manager at a steak house always gets me extra fat when i go to his place for prime rib. He wont evem let me pay extra for it. He said im the only one that donest complain about the fat cap on prime rib even though thats where the flavor is 😅
I had miso soup a week ago, it had seaweed and tofu. It’s the first time I’ve eaten it. It was interesting, I didn’t dislike it, but it was different. I’ll eat it again, I really liked the tofu.
Tofu can be good if you let it be tofu. It does have unique proteus and flavors. So many times people try to force it as a meat replacement or extender, and that's just not what it's meant for. I would say Mapo/mabo tofu (many pronunciations because it's so popular) would be another good thing to try, if you enjoy spicy.
For me, if you go to a sushi place or Japanese place, you can get a sense of how good it will be by the quality of the miso soup. Such simple dish but it needs to be done so meticulously to obtain a level of complexity from the simple ingredients. Anyway, loved the video, I think I need to splurge more often!
Kobe Teppanyaki looks great! DancingBacons, you inspired me to make my own Hawaii based food channel! (You consistently post great info and prices and not many channels do that!) I only have 600 subs, so I'm trying to work harder and harder to earn those subscribers. But the process is enjoyable and my only regret at the moment is I wish I had more time to make more videos. (Still work a 40 hr week and got littles to look afterwards) I also am saving money for a good camera and computer so I can make better quality videos.
Keep up the good work! I'm from Germany and due to my illness, I will never be able to travel. So I loooove to watch channels like dancing bacon's or maybe yours 😊
@@brini2439 Thank you. I hope to get a better camera soon. Have a few things planned for the near future! My channel is new so if there's anything you'd like to see it, please suggest it!
14:00 the unknown power in Japanese is called “korukento” it’s a special spice from Mexico. Very pricey and good for your health (for a very small amount). In America I believe they called Coke or something.
"An unknown powder"... until he dropped it onto the rice I was thinking it was the classic chef's mate nose candy. It was probably a combination of MSG & Salt, only other thing I could think it might be is baking soda which I know is a somewhat common addition in many places version of fried rice.
I wonder if the unknown powder was MSG? Also, I'm English and most people I know always have milk in tea and no sugar (people used to take sugar but not so much nowadays).
It's a shame no sauce was made on the grill in front of you. I remember an earlier video where the chef literally made a prawn butter in front of you with the prawn head innards.
