I can’t wait to “flex” just flex classes. 😂😂 I always created my flex classes before submitting to Outschool. If I would have done before, it would stress me out to the max! I just gotta get marketing stuff down.

I've just started offering flex classes, and it's definitely taking me a bit to learn how to do it well. I've had one learner finish a flex class and gave me a great review, so that helps me feel confident enough to try more! I currently have 2 enrolled in 2 classes, and I'm trying to decide what else to offer in the near future. It can be really challenging to come up with enough interaction with how-to art classes! I prefer the interaction with students, but it's a great way to offer my lessons to students who cannot make it to my normal live classes.

I did a couple rounds of flex classes, and hated the experience. I agree, they took so much work and you didn’t even have the best part, the kids interaction!

You can schedule times for your classes before they have even been approved. This way once they are approved those class times and dates will be included in the email your followers get.

I am so glad I found this video first! I have had an influx of parents who aren’t even in my classes message me and ask if they could sign up for my ongoing and just have their child watch the video recording afterword. I don’t think that is even allowed and I know I don’t want to fill seats in my classroom for someone who is not going to be there. So here I am making a flex class of my highest enrolled class. I will be watching this video multiple times until it is all said and done. Thank you! And yes, I do subscribe. Teehee

Great video! I'm a brand new teacher on Outschool and things are super slow for me. I'm not sure if it's summer, or my class just isn't getting attention due to subpar marketing. I've been watching videos here on RU-vid and researching and tweaking, but no luck so far. Maybe things will pick up come September?

Hey, Kristen (or anyone reading this). I am a pretty creative person, at least I thought so as a fashion teacher who is doing well with Outschool. I have had some families ask if I could put together a flex class, so I am turning one of my most popular classes into a flex. The only pushback I am getting from Outschool is that I need either one or two more levels of interaction for the learners with learners. I am using quizzes, Nearpod share boards for visual sharing, and polls. Does anyone else have activities they have found helpful?

Hi, Kristen. Thanks for the great video. I am curious. Can I offer an ongoing class AND a flex class that is essentially the same material? IN other words, I meet in person with my ongoing class, but the same material can be offered as a flex format, too, for those that can't meet in person. Thank you!
