According to a new report, James Harden’s tenure in Brooklyn came to an end when Kevin Durant called the Brooklyn Nets GM Sean Marks the morning of the NBA trade deadline to endorse moving on from the former MVP Harden. Harden and KD had apparently been at odds for months, with one person familiar with the situation saying quote "KD didn't want to get rid of James. But he knew it was over." Y’all need to add more perspective to the Kyrie conversation. It’s so one sided at this point. All you guys do is call him selfish and a bad team mate and never offer insight into his reasoning and how there are man (non-famous) people dealing with similar situations to him. @@31bigfree I get for his past situations but since he came to the nets he’s been handling that better because he wanted to be on the nets. Also I would agree if when he signed with the nets, mandates were a thing, but they weren’t. He had no idea the state of NY was going to force him to get a shot that he doesn’t agree with/feel certain about, and that shouldn’t make him selfish for trying to make the best of the situation while also respecting himself and his body. Like I get that point but I feel like the side I just mentioned is NEVER discussed on this show; just feels like constant Kyrie bashing

KD underestimated what great character means. He benefitted from some of the best team players in the league in Golden state and thought he was the reason they were succeeding. No, they were good before you and they'll be good without you. KD lacks championship character and therefore him leading a super team will never work.

What is better winning or losing an NBA Finals? I’m sure winning right ... Would the Cavs beat the Warriors in 2015 with Kyrie and Kevin Love? 2016 proved it YES! GS feared LeBron so much they beg KD because he’s the only player at that time comparable to LeBron he always been #2. GS couldn’t handle LeBron and Kyrie and they knew it. KD is why they won 2 more. Toronto Raptors is another team that proved they’re beatable.

As a Duke fan, Kyrie will always be one of my favorite players. I’ve been a Harden fan and called he would reach this level of player when he was 6 man in OKC, all my friends who were KD and Westbrook fans thought I was crazy but here we are. I get the level of frustration but KD and Harden couldn’t agree on how to run an offense? Crazy. They both didn’t want to sacrifice to get a ring that all 3 of them healthy could’ve achieved. It’s sad we only saw 16 games of this team. I hope all come back healthy for playoffs because I just want to watch great basketball and these playoffs will be something else.

It’s frustrating for sure to miss out watching him play let alone if you are KD and need him on road games in playoffs, but I can’t get mad at him and I respect him. i'm gonna say it again, KD is strictly a bucket. The most lethal scorer in NBA history and that's it. He's not about leading his teams, setting examples for his teammates, being a locker voice or having the ability to manage a team that he puts together. He's not that guy. The young and not yet in prime Thunder were not a superteam nor can you "blame" Durant for being a part of that team. They were put together organically and Harden was barely a 6th man for that team. Not to mention that Harden was traded immediately after they made the 2012 finals. That was not a superteam. A superteam in the LeBron sense that gets criticized is when a superstar actively recruits other stars (who are still close to their prime) so that they can play together and dominate the NBA. LeBron built a superteam in Miami. He attempted to build one in the second Cleveland go around. And now he's done the same thing in LA with AD and Westbrook. Durant joining the Warriors turned them into a superteam. They weren't one before. They were just a very good team with great chemistry and one transcendent star. And so the Brooklyn experiment is the only time that Durant has attempted to put together a LeBron James-esque superteam.

Nets actually created really good team! Simmons don’t need to shoot now just defend and pass. Kyrie and KD will shoot, Curry is great pickup aswell Drummond defensively. They can run line up with Simmons,Kyrie,Kd no problem. I think Nets have bigger chance to win now that with Harden

Bro I’m so with you! People don’t realize the NBA has basically told the Nets they can’t pay the fines for Kyrie to play home games. It’s actually written into the mandate that after 5 games the team is charged 5K for each game a non-vaccinated player plays in NY. They could literally charge that to Kyrie and I’m sure he’d accept. But the NBA has basically said no to that at this point. Sucks to be in NY/CA rn if you ask me 🤷🏼‍♂️

The Nets are cool . So many stories , superstars that play great on the field , many trades ... I remember when they went in back to back NBA finals with Jason Kidd and Kenyon Martin and Richard Jefferson and they were a blue collar team playing fast and consistent with not much celebration by the medias , cuz they lost in the finals to the Kobe Shaq Lakers and then to the Spurs in their best year ever . I remember them as a great team in those 2 years , amazing on D and on scoring fast or slow down the game , great coaching too by B Scott . Now they are becoming dramatic like the Lakers but they are still very cool .

The main problem with this team is the fact that the big 3 have only played 16 games together during the tenure and I see this leading again to Kyrie (as much as I hate bringing his name up again) because he wasn't playing for the team, take that as you may but his 'selfishness' has cost this team a lot of chemistry and continuity.

KD was the one who wanted more ISOs even back at GSW. Harden sacrificed the most out of the big 3 and I doubt he wanted ISO plays after carrying Houston for years like that. He has even said to Steph he wanted to play motion offense like GSW do a few years ago in the All Star break. Overall, Nets probably got stronger due to depth though.

Honestly, the commissioner needs to suspend players who try to force their way out or if they show any form of unprofessionalism. If you act like a Harden, Simmons or AD, you'll be automatically suspended 1 year w no pay and ineligible for a supermax.
