Dude I've been saying Mexicans are going to be the new Asians for a while now. I majored in physics and my Mexican buddy fucking killed that shit, went to grad school in Scotland. And his brother works as an engineer at a major company. They're also both super awesome, funny, interesting people. I find it funny too that growing up I found it easiest to make friends with Mexicans. Motherfuckin white kids were like all elitist about how hard they were working.... Mexican friends working just as hard but you don't even notice them looking stressed out or breaking a sweat and being chill. I remember one Mexican classmate of mine wearing a shirt saying that he's Mexican, not "Latino." And you know what? Damn straight. Yall are fricking awesome and I love you.

The house was in rough shape back then. We owned our land and home, and that notion of sell it was always looming, but both of us would rather fight that give it up. Things are better than back then. Thats just how it was for a lot of "not rich" families and Im sure it still is today... I remember turning the water off a lot at night as a kid so the pipes that werent buried wouldnt freeze and sleeping together as a family not because we were particularly close but the old house wasnt insulated well and we had to sleep together in the winter LOL
