Lewis and Mike, thank you so much for making this. My 13yr old has started asking about dating and relationships. I needed to watch this 20 years ago. I feel hopeful that my daughter won't repeat my mistakes.

Yes I realized this, I want a deep, enduring, soulmate love but I'm so afraid of getting hurt, being vulnerable, opening myself up to someone that it's kept that possibility of reciprocal love away. I have subconsciously sabotaged potential connections in order to protect myself . I know I give love, deeply but I block myself from receiving it which has been a painful thing😢. I'm working on taking a chance, giving dating a chance again, in order to give love a chance.

I also find people to be less willing to really get to know someone. I have worked with people who I know don’t know the real me, even though I’m fully willing to reveal myself to them. People are so ‘surface’

I'm excited to read this book. It is true that healing is such a lonely road, but it gets easier once you accept it that you need to be alone for a long time to cultivate a lasting relationship relationship. So you can bring your best self to the relationship. I want to reach the point where a relationship is like a dessert, I want to have it because I'm full. Not that I'm lacking.

So what if the person you are with has no vision and becomes defensive and or avoidant of the dialogue? I do not want to give up but feel perhaps he already has on thriving!

I loved watching this interview. However, there was one topic they did not cover which is very important when Christlike/Christian dating…fornication. Pastor Todd’s quotes of wisdom: *We cannot really love unless hurt is an option. •Decisions turns to discipline. When I heard this one, I said jokingly, “Boy, I’m going to slap you!” •If we don’t deal with our damage, its going to effect every person we love. *We are attracting our insecurities. Pastor Todd, SMH! My Lord! *Just because I’m doing good doesn’t mean, I’m doing good. *Progression; not perfection! That’s it! I’m going to do my BEST to visit Transformation Church. Oh yea, I’m coming!
