As a life long Yankee fan this pisses me off and just makes me think that they need a revamp in the front office because if this is how they treat the captain a player that as proven and as established in the franchise and fan base as Jeter the fact that he requested not to make it public and do like they could've lost judge becuz of it like an old way of thinking and negotiating and the team doesn't benefit from it

I read that his agent wanted 30 mil, the Yankees wanted 25 mil and they negotiated around 28 mil

Judge was pretty much exactly like this, Cashman stabbed him in the back too, so he strategized a west coast trip to increase the sense of urgency in New York despite knowing he wasn't going anywhere else
