대한이 살았다. 그렇게 조국을 위해 본인 스스로를 희생하신 순국선열 분들이 있었기에 우리는 지금 이 나라, 대한민국의 국민으로서 살아가고 있다는 것에 자부심을 느낀다.

나라에 바칠 목숨이 오직하나밖에 없는것만이 나의 유일한 슬픔이다. /이 말을 보면 난 당신이 있었기에 우리나라가 있는 겁니다 감사합니다. 라고 전해주고 싶다.

눈물이 납니다. 감사합니다. 그분들이 있었기에 지금의 대한민국이 있을 수 있었습니다. 독립투사분들 잊지 않겠습니다. 역사를 잊은 민족에게 미래란 없다.

서대문형무소 첨봤을때 그충격이란.ㅠ 방방마다 새겨진 그수많은 작은이름들 "대한이 살았다" 로 다시 느껴지네요. 감사합니다.

제 마음이 어지러운 고민들로 복잡할 때 이 노래를 듣고 있으면 아 이런 삶을 사는 것도 참 큰 행운이구나 싶어요. 내 나라가 빼앗겨 대한이 ‘살았다’ 라고 과거형으로 말하지 않아도 된다는 것이요.

I really love the way Jung Jae Il composed and arranged this song, for the intro, he put that beautiful echoes, it's like the voices of those 7 independence fighters singing the song from the past in 1919... then the song grows slowly with very moving melody that brings both sorrow and hope, then gradually go higher to the chorus, i love so much the part "we prayed with blood and tears 2x", his intense piano at that part is really something! Then the luxurious chorus is like the representation of the present and the future, and the orchestration during the song, especially during Kim Yuna's naration is really beautiful and heart-touching... Lena Park as usual, sang this song so beautifully, her voice just wind that blows through the song, bringing the past story and hope of tomorrow... Kim Yuna has firm and clear voice, i love the way she narrates especially when she mentioned those fighters names This song is absolutely amazing!

The lyrics of the song is originally from the song which is sang by female independence activists who were imprisoned in room 8 for their independence movement during the Japanese colonial times. Today, March first, is Samiljeol. It's the memorial of the independence movement in March first, 1919. We thank to them, for Korean government succeeded to the provisional government in Shanghai that was established as a result of the movement. Please remember what this song means, that it is more than just a song.

As expected from Jung Jae Il, the song is really beautifully amazing 😭
