I give Rob some credit for going into some pretty specific detailed advice here. Better than I've seen in most other such vids.

How to cut 90% of the scammers: within 3 minutes say *VERY* loud and clear that you'll not send 1 dollar until you meet her in person. On an unrelated topic: I am always very busy in my business... no way I reply within 10 minutes. Sometimes I don't have a second for 2 hours.

Very informative thx for this video, many in the west despise FB I guess I'll be a suspicious person for not having it, the mental gymnastics behind this makes a good case for meeting people the "old way".

I think people might need to be reminded that "red flags" are not like red stop lights. They only mean something's needing investigating further. You might have to ask questions (ah, the art of learning to ask the "right" questions, where the wording can make all the difference). Like in football, a red flag marks only an error in the play; a lot of red flags mean a sloppy game. The game's not called, it's not over yet. Investigate, don't be lazy, and hold your reins. Most people play sloppy games of life -- until they realize that's why they're always losing. Then they start improving. So dive deeper and ask yourself, Is this what you want? Because, bottom line I think is, what you really want is someone who can be honest, that you can begin to build trust with. Love is built on trust, not the other way around. Best way is to meet in person don't send money get to know that person you are interested in first that is part of the great journey and adventure of getting to know someone. Don't make any lifetime commitments right away. Time is your best friend when getting to know someone and there are plenty of nice people to meet out there. No hurry and no worries sometimes it's the journey and not the destination. Let your life adventures begin today. 🙂

Wow. This was very informative. Thank you for those tips. I'm 56 years old and probably won't retire until I'm 67. But I know that I want to have a Filipino wife and I'm trying to get all the information that I'll need right now. I have already subscribed and I look forward to seeing more videos.

Meeting a girl online before you go to the Philippines is like looking at a restaurant menu online and then sending money to the restaurant in the Philippines and telling them to prepare the meal for you and then just put it in the freezer and you will eat it when you arrive six months or a year later. Then when you arrive you are shocked and saddened to learn that although they did actually prepare the meal, they ate it instead of putting it away for you. Wake up! There is another restaurant on every corner and the food is much fresher!

Rob, would you recommend waiting until you have boots on ground to meet that special person, or would you use a dating site? Finally, Rob, I’m curious if you brought your dog with you and did you come for an extended visit before moving to Philippines?

Thanks for sharing, It’s always better to get feet on the ground and take a very slow trip to get to know who they are. Even when your there in person you can be scammed and the women have many irons in the fire trying to get ahead in life. You can find the perfect Filipina but it takes time & due diligence to find the one that’s right for compatibility and for long term relationship.

Thank you for the thorough and informative video. I have a similar experience or trying online dating with Filipinas over 5 years ago, and became disenchanted for many reasons. Fortunately, only out the money it cost to use the dating website. I am giving it another shot now, and these are all very good things to keep in mind. It's a different world in PI!

BTW just an fyi we went on daylight savings time here in the USA today so clocks went ahead 1 hour so we are 12 hours apart behind the Phillipines now instead of 13

Rob, Chrissy, Just watched your vlog and a few red flags for me..!!! I don't use facebook and tend to take people at face value rather than facebook. If people need to be deceitful then they are the ones with the problem, surely. I maybe trust too easily but rely more on 'gut feelings'. Everyone has a past and as long as its dealt with accordingly then what's the problem?. I try to look for positive affirmations rather than 'dumpster diving' to try and unearth past indiscretions. I think if you were suspicious then it is not the relationship for you. Also, no matter how beautiful your partner is you will not enjoy a relationship if you are constantly doubting her and having to live a covert life. Maybe I am old fashioned but .....

I am new to your channel, but every other reputable seeming vlogger on this subject says don’t even bother with online dating. Just wait till you get there. Get to know the Philippines a little bit and THEN start looking for your Filipina. To me, this really sounds like the best advice, although you could certainly use your investigation techniques once you’re meeting girls in real life.

Good advice. But what if you hate Facebook and have everything turned private, never accept friend requests, never message anyone, etc? I only have ten or so photos posted over the three years I've had my page. To me, FB is creepy AF and I won't feed the beast.

I keep my profile locked down. It was not ill intentions, simply that’s how I have done it for years. My fiancés friend tried to friend me, I declined initially…Speaking to my fiancé first. I think she was trying to see if I would talk to another girl while talking to my now fiancé. I still keep my profile fairly secure, with not much available to the public, my fiancé has brought this up…I gave her access to see my friends list, that subsided a lot of concerns. Trust but verify, both sides have insecurities going into a LDR.

So is there a reason not to meet someone at the Airport? I have heard of lots of people meeting successfully at the Airport. Is that so you don't have other choices if you find out there are better matches? I'm going to assume it's because some people ask for money in order to be able to meet you there and never show up? But in reality as long as they don't ask for money then it is a perfectly fine place to meet?

Oh Rob, Chrissy, your KILLING me ! ! ! I've watched this video 5 times now from start to finish and half the time you are talking in another language to me. That is mostly my own fault though. I have never had a facebook account. I NEVER use social media; at 70yo and retired, I would much rather meet someone over coffee and talk to them face to face then try to message them on the phone. I understand that the deep dive stuff is to verify the veracity of what the girl has told you and to see if there are other accounts. But most of the terms you used are way over my head; and I'm 6'2"! lol Yeah I'm not going to try dating sites, or chatting before I get there. I'm going to show up, get a place for a month or two and try and hook up with the Expats. Rob you found yourself a woman that is exactly like what I am looking for. I hope I can get that lucky and find some Expats who know someone like Chrissy that I can meet. You two are my ideal example of what I am searching for. A woman that can love me for me. I have no clue how to do that AI thingy you two were talking about for pictures. And I'm not really into glamour pictures. I'd much rather just see a picture of her without makeup. Once I meet her in RL in person, I will see exactly what she is truly like without makeup so just use that as your picture. I have plenty enough flaws of my own and if she likes me for me I know I will like her for her. BahajajA.....these are fucken funny....the best one I have heard yet was she was looking for her sandals for 2 hrs lol.....😅😅😅😅. A lot of us foreigners are not stupid!! I will play the game with them. Little do they know that I already kno the game. But I like to play to see how far they think they can get. Then when you slam them and tell them they ain't getting shit from you is the best thing to say to them. What you're saying about "content not available" on someone's Facebook page is not accurate. Even when I go onto my own Facebook page I have many posts that say "content not available" I haven't done anything to hide any of my posts. I don't know why the content is not available but, it is not because of anything I did. So if you're investigating a woman's page and you see this it's not necessarily because she's trying to hide something.

Her demeanor and facial reactions do not instill trust pal, seriously. Be ready to run any time 😂

You know the problem with what you did communicating with those woman and why you did it? Because you can compartmentalize relationships into 3 categories. There is a mental aspect an emotional aspect and a physical aspect. You were talking to these woman and stated in your video you started to become attached. Right? You see the woman know weak lonely men and can sense this half way around the world and they know the next step for them is to send money or they will stop talking to you. These woman satisfied the mental aspect of yours and in your mind they were your girlfriends but in their minds you where just a walking talking ATM 🏧. I am not trying to insult you I am just trying to tell you the truth. And you should dissuade men from being exploited from any amount of money weather it be $20.00 or $2,000.00. Only weak low value low worth men send money to woman they never met before. And they do it because that’s the only way they can get woman to talk to them. That’s the hard honest truth.
