They are Gary even though I’ve had them for quite a while I wish I would’ve purchased them sooner. The only regret I have is the price, but once you’ve gotten pass that aspect of it they’re priceless.
Nice demo TETC. Saw a pair of these in action a few days back for the first time on Nick Bundy's channel. Certainly worth their weight in gold for domestic / commercial electricians in the UK who constantly deal with twin and earth cabling.
Yeah TP that’s correct once you purchase a pair and use them you’ll ask yourself what took you so long to purchase a pair. They’re a time saver , and you know wasted time is wasted money.
Nice I was wondering about them im usually the guy at the company looking to try new tools. I was looking into these but I don't know I just couldn't justify the price. UF after its been underground is even tougher to strip for whatever reason. What I usually do is slice down the middle about an inch and use the ground to split it down about 8 inches, and then I slice the uf off my neutral and hot and peel them back about 8 inches and then I cut an inch or 2 off the end in case I damaged it while doing it this way. I probably wouldn't mind seeing these at the $30-40 price point but I think the 60-80 is too much for a tool I wouldn't use as much as say my romex strippers.
I agree Rob these strippers are too high priced. When I purchased these I paid $40. Once you own a pair and used them for a time you’re wonder why you didn’t purchase a pair sooner. The way that you described stripping UF Cable I think 🤔 that way was passed down through the generations be it sounds like the same method I used for years. But having these dedicated strippers saves me a lot of time and money so I have no regrets.
This tools rebranded by Jokari . I have the Jokari and knipex version of this. Either way it's a German design. Great tool but can be a little fiddly in CU's a BB's. Excellent review bro 👍🏽.
So I had a similar knipex version which did not work well with simpul romex made by southwire it slipped too much. I have not used it much since but I should take the time to look at these types of tools again and practice more with them that’s the problem when you have too many tools🤣
I’ve used these several times MM and it took some getting used to. But now I got the hang of it I have no regrets about purchasing them except they’re priced TOO HIGH .
The problem maybe on your end I’m looking at the video as I’m writing back to you, I hear myself talking. Reboot your device and let’s see what happens ? Let me know what happens ?
I haven't tried to use them on 12/3 or 14/3. But if it cuts UF cable jacket which is much thicker than standard romex cable which is much thinner. I do see why it wouldn't strip it. Thanks for posting.
@@catonfarm9757if you don't have a tool for it, you will be very frustrated with stripping UF-B. Get the tool, and you'll be the guy who picks up those UF jobs and enjoys them. :+ )
