The three things that make it ‘its own watch’....Handset(Love the fact that it doesn’t have a Mercedes hour hand), exhibition back, and titanium....Three things you’ll never get from Rolex at any price. Love this watch! Thanks for the detailed review!

Recently got my 4th Steinhart, getting rid of my San Martins, Cronos etc as these are so good, the 39mm Starbucks, the Olko Steve Mcqueen( perfect work watch for me) the root beer gmt is my bling one. Superb value and quality

I just ordered one this evening. I’ve been wanting to tryout a titanium watch and a Steinhart. Seemed like a good choice after looking at many other titanium models in the sub $1,000 market. It looks great, lots of lume, hi-beat movement, exhibition caseback and domed crystal. It’s right up my alley. Looking forward to wearing this one a lot.

Awesome watch! This and the vintage are steinharts finest. I’ll eventually go for the 38mm once my micro obsession is satisfied. Great review as always my dude!👍🏼👍🏼🍻

I have both, selling my Steinhart to my brother for €375. It's a gorgeous watch, but feels too light for me. It's worth the used price but definitely not the new price or even close. My San Martin actually feels better because it's heavier and the San Martin lume knocks the socks off this one. Don't get me wrong it's beautiful, but €350 to 400 is a reasonable price and it will lose value to that price very quickly. Be patient and you'll pick one up for €350 or €300 if you wait a bit longer. Then, it's an outstanding bargain. Microbrands and small brands cannot hold their value so always better to wait.

@@brainwoodman1646 having owned both steinhart and San Martin I would say they both have their place, steinhart is a better build but it is 2-3 times more expensive, San Martin however are absolutely brilliant in their price range, in particular the vintage diver and the explorer 39, beautiful watches that I wouldn’t be surprised to cost more from another brand

I can definitely see why this watch is tough to wear any thing else in your collection you just have to see that movement and you're going to know where your money went,fantastic purchase A bit outside my budget at this point great video Mate

I bought this exact watch on March 25, 2023 for $682 including $35 shipping, directly from Steinhart. So, the actual cost of the watch itself is $647. The US dollar had compared favorably to the Euro recently. The movement I have is a Selitta caliper SW 300-1 which is a clone of the ETA 2892-A2. Steinhard did not list what movement was installed. I had to use a loupe to finally see what the movement was. The Selitta has been upgraded to optimize the barrel and now can run up to 56 hours when fully wound. That is up from the 42 hours shown on this video. Excellent watch with a great set of features. It is very light weight compared to my stainless-steel watches. The movement alone retails for $280 which represents about 43% of the watch components. The movement has 25 jewels and uses Nivaflex NM for the main spring and Nivatronic for the Hairspring collet. You can visit Caliber Corner (calipercorner.com), enter the movement number and it will display all the information plus complete part diagrams and how they interface from Sellita.

Steinhart makes some great watches....i bought a few over the years. That's a nice watch ...t've tried a couple of their 42mil oceans...but i just can't pull off the size, which is small for me. They make some nice pilot watches too...i could handle one of their B-dial w/ modified central seconds Unitas in 44 or 47mm.

Not my cup of tea which is absolutely fine, be boring if we all liked the same thing. I am an admirer of Swiss movments particularly the ETA & Sellita 2824-2 or SW200 but the Steinhart is a touch more than I'd want to spend on a watch. Great video thanks

I got one and it's quite nice, got it on eBay too. Definitely better to get this on the used market, they lose value. €400 is about what they're worth, you'd be crazy to buy a new one. Can I be honest though, I have a San Martin too which cost me equivalent of $200, and in all honesty it's just as good, it's SS but it actually feels better. I'm finding the titanium too light on the wrist. By the way, on an overnight test, the San Martin lume totally destroyed the lume longevity on this. It's a lovely watch, don't get me wrong, but not for me. Selling it to my brother this week, for just less than the eBay price for €375. In other 6 months you'll see these for €300 and that will be a great bargain if you find a well kept one.

I prefer the Ti GMT for 10% higher price - I'm not convinced the Ti Ceramic is best value. They certainly shed resale pretty quickly. I'm interested in the comparison with Certina, their divers are all priced in Swiss francs and I had never done the conversion. All of a sudden the PH200s are looking *good*. As for Alpina, talk about contrast; all those brutalist edges on the case compared with swoopy lines on the Steinhart!? :-)
@TheWatcherReviews
@TheWatcherReviews 3 года назад
I forgot to mention Hamilton as a competitor too. It was more of a price range comparison. With the price of this it puts it self straight into those markets. I was going to get the GMT but as I have no use for it, it opted for this. The GMT does look alot better than this though
@morrieglick4137

Very good video, as usual. I am in the market for. GMT watch. This seems to tick all the boxes. My only concern is the degree of scratch ability. In your experience with Titanium watches on a scale of 1-10 with 10=the softest what would your score be. Thank you in advance for your reply. Morrie
@TheWatcherReviews
@TheWatcherReviews 9 месяцев назад
Hey Morries, im usually very careful with my watches but this i would rate around 6, alot of micro scratches do start to appear. Good thing is , a bit of light scuffing with scotchbrite sorts it out.

I made the mistake of purchasing the gmt version of this watch.... Oh boy where do I start. Firstly the watch is +12 seconds a day for a 5 position adjusted eta straight out of the box, 3 months later still the same. , secondly when I pull the crown out abs then back in the whole movement moves inside the case like there's no movement holder in the watch. Really really disappointed with the watch so I try and ring steinhart, the call just keeps getting immediately diverted so I email, after 3 days they get back to me with an A4 size list of instructions for returning it to Germany, stating I have to call FedEx and organise a way bill and then state I could still be liable for further delivery charges over seas. And if I make one mistake on the customs paper work it could get stuck in customs. So I call FedEx who themselves are useless but they tell me no we don't send way bills and that steinhart are the ones as the FedEx account holder who should organise postage labels and way bills so it looks like steinhart have basically pushed it all onto me. They've now stopped replying to any further emails. When I looked on trust pilot it really dawned on me just how poor steinhart customer service are. I'll never buy from them again and I warn others to think long and hard because of the watch needs to go back then its a nightmare.

I have same on from 2017 2892-A2 muwment and its good wery good on nato strap who can strech it is made for that strap and this whole summer i have him and its super comfortable and its super good time +2sec-2sec also for whering is light and i like that also its built like tank so i beat him and nothing he had feu scratches ,but in 6 ares that is super good ,only i dont like that cind of breaclet i prefer nato or that newe ones like nato but beter with litle strech i think its cold parashute or some stupid name ,but its best way for mee too cary that wotch and in Generan i much prefer leather ot that nato neve thing its much beter . For the money, i think i paid around 800€ shipping and watch, and if it costs 1,500€ it will be worth ewry peny. And newer in 6 ares had someone comfused that with Rolex cos they are totally different.
