Connect the controller using a USB cable and then press the PS button Cannot start. The appropriate system storage was not found. The installed hard disk not supported. You must install a hard disk that is compatible with this system.
this didnt work for me but oddly enough my 3rd party oficially licenced sega genesis usb controller works in the menu that being my saving grace for my ps3
there is a way to upgrade the hard drive using a generic controller...one that does not even have a ps button, however it does require extra hardware that can be found easier than original controllers. I used the magic ns switch controller adapter by mayflash ....as soon as i plug it in it just bypasses that screen then allowing me to use my usb retron n64 controller.....other adapters may work...try pressing the sync or mode switch buttons if it does not work immediately...I would presume someone could create a cheap 5 dollar pico usb that does the same....8 bitdo adapter worked also, just had to press sync button, also both adapters were designed for switch and pc which means most will probably work
@@izzylie actually he says to get an original controller..atleast partially working...what i am refering to is not having to use an original controller at all...just plug in one of the adapters i mentioned and it just goes past that screen...no matter the reason it popped up...once past the screen u can use non playstation controllers, I just upgraded my hdd using this method with no playstation controller
@@izzylie Totally understand the confusion.....that is a converter that will support certain gamepads to work...my method is a glitch..using not supported controller adapters will just glitch past that screen, no gamepad needed....I just did not have the required devices mentioned in the vid and did not want to purchase anything then figured this out...no emulation of a button...maybe all that is needed is a reset switch on the data line of the usb?
Is this really working guys so i need to take off storage drive or the hard drive sorry guys my English is bad whatever when i take it off i start the ps3 after that turn it off then plug everything back then is going to be good again please let me know
