Day 5 and I've got my first real "tramily"! Meet Emily, Teresa, and Jane! These gals are incredible and they welcomed me into their group after hanging out together at the Blood Mountain Cabins. Today we talked, laughed, enjoyed trail magic, and walked almost 12 miles?! Meeting folks on trail is one of the best parts of thruhiking!

When receiving trail magic do you ever worry about the food being safe?

Actually, not really! You can usually get a feel for the people who are giving trail magic and all of the trail angels have been very sweet so far and have either thruhiked, attempted a thruhike, or know someone who's thruhiked, so they just want to give back to hikers. :)
