In the first clip, I was surprised no one mentioned how quickly she went from crying about finding her husband to clinically describing the scene again and all the grief was gone. The sadness didn't linger, and then it came back again quickly.

John I agree with you. I've found 2 close people to me deceased, when I made the 911 calls all I wanted was an ambulance & to give them my address, I remember being clear & concise, breaking down once I hung up. In both occasions I knew it was too late but I remember begging the ambulance men to bring them back. The last thing on my mind was saying"I just got back from the gym" or "I parked down the street, opened the door etc etc. 911 calls are a treasure trove, some people are sunk from then on. The Menendez brothers 911 call is the worst one I've ever heard. Cheers.

As a person with autism, I often miss "obvious" cues when it comes to body language. This show has been absolutely brilliant to watch for that reason alone. You delve into the deep end with this stuff, but honestly, you have such a way of articulating your points in such a great, straightforward manner. Keep up the good work as always, guys!

Yes, yes YES!! RIGHT!? I'm on the ADHD spectrum, and one of the major ways my own personal neurodiversity presents is a profound inability to naturally and intuitively pick up on visual social cues...it's been responsible for such a massive amount of difficulty throughout my life, and even now as an adult I still feel like I'm always having to do "manually" what comes effortlessly and thoughtlessly to most people. (Like, for example, knowing when and how long to make eye contact is and always has been a HUGE cause of anxiety for me, because I just simply do not "get" how neurotypical people just somehow naturally know how and when to make eye contact!!) Watching this channel has absolutely been an amazing gift for me when it comes to learning about not just the obvious cues, but also more nuanced social and behavioral cues. I've actually been noticing how the things I've learned from this channel have already totally helped me pick up on social cues that I can almost 100% say I would have never noticed or been able to respond to in the past! So yeah- I enthusiastically second the idea that this channel can be a major help for neurodiverse people in real-life, practical, day-to-day ways...and it's AWESOME! Thank you all for doing such a big public service for those of us who need to learn about social and behavioral cues, but often don't even know where or how to start learning!!

When my kid was just missing, I couldn’t even get the words out on the phone, without going into complete hysteria, no way I could form complete sentences. I had to do breathing exercises, just to calm down long enough to explain what’s going on. Luckily, she was ok

I absolutely LOVE how ENTERTAINED Chase regularly seems to be at Mark’s comments- you can see his eyes start to light up and how engaged he becomes as Mark begins his explanations! (Or maybe I’m just reading this all wrong and I need to take one of their courses!😂) It’s in video after video though- it’s not in a rude, mocking sort of way, but he just seems to really enjoy Mark’s perspective, as I believe he’s coming from a whole different side of things than the others. I love how Piers interjects when Rebecca first is trying to explain away the "firearm" being in her car. She tries to go right back to dna evidence and he's not going to let her keep getting away with that. He stops her and outlines the logic of the whole situation. Rebecca admits its peculiar but then pivots right back to her script about forensics using GSR residue? Thank you guys for exposing these tactics. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Awesome video, as usual! I’m a retired Baltimore police officer. In 1993, I was first on the scene of a call for “a man and a woman who were shot” . It took a few minutes for my back up to arrive as we were changing shifts at the time of the dispatch and I was alone on the scene for a short time. I was approached by a guy who I assumed was the 911 caller. As I was walking up to the property, this guy was yelling over and over, “I think they’re dead! I think they’re dead!” He simultaneously began to push me with both hands from behind towards the location of the bodies. I remember I reacted to his pushes angrily, shoving him backwards shouting, “Get the fuck off of me!” as I assessed the scene and my next course of action. In hindsight of course his actions were ‘inappropriate’ and odd. Deep inside I knew I didn’t want this guy near me, I didn’t want him pushing me. I didn’t want him touching me. That animal, 6th sense. My back up (a few officers strong) arrived and I asked one to detain the guy. Turns out he murdered both the man and woman- his parents- for about $300,000. 00 insurance pay off (which he never received but tried while in jail for the homicides) I think they’re dead....he was up close and personal and knew it was a man and a woman and he knew they might be dead. He was obviously more than a ‘distant’ witness.

Had to come back at 1:03:30. Is it odd that I rewound it four times to hear Mark do the impression of Penelope Pitstop yelling, "Help, help!" so I could see the guys crack up and then try to stop snickering? For Mark, I have to say that it's been a long time since I've seen the cartoon, but it's a decent impression, and I'm wondering if you were in drama in school. To the guys, I'm watching this in July of 2023, and I love the more relaxed vibe here. You've gotten very professional and more polished in your current videos, and I like this look back. Not that you aren't funny in some of the newer ones, but this particular moment has me laughing a lot. I was afraid that I woke my spouse up, haha.

This one night I went to answer the door and he was just lying there. Then he tried to come to me and his back legs were dragging behind him. I can’t get that vision out of my head. I think he bumped into the dining room table but I’m not 100% sure. I have his ashes here and I still say goodnight every night.

A close friend of mine at end stage lung cancer hemorrhaged to death in my arms on his kitchen floor. There was blood EVERYWHERE in the room and on me from holding him. As a nurse, I can tell you that's a horrible 911 call for someone supposedly concerned about a serious/ deadly injury of a loved one. I know what the real thing sounds like. I've heard too many of them. I would have never bought that story. You're correct, there's no right way but there IS a wrong way for how these calls sounds. If that makes sense.

Interesting, when did nurses start taking emergency calls? In the U.K. they used to be taken by the GPO (later BT) emergency switchboard where I worked a rota, now we have huge centres that deal only with emergencies.

@@j.ksmith7432 Over my 45 years as a nurse I worked a number of different positions. Triage , ER, etc. In the old days some nurses rode with ambulances. Some people called us or had those type calls forwarded to us before 911 call centers were like they are now.

I disagree. Once determining he was dead,I-would go outside to call. First, because whoever did this may still be in the house. Second, I would not want to disturb any evidence that may assist the police. However, when faced with something like this, we all make different choices.

Chase - I am a psychologist who plodded my way through some pretty obscure research during my training. The one theorist I had really great time for was Maslow and his 'hierarchy of needs' - and it came into my mind as I watched that part of the video! This was great material guys - I really enjoyed the way you used humour to illustrate what a malignant narcissist this woman is. Thanks as always!

Saw this story on A&E American Justice. That broadcast had actual footage of the crime scene(his body blurred), and video of the local news filming her outside after finding her dead husband. She made sure the camera caught her expressions while talking to a neighbor. She practically steps aside to make sure the camera catches her face. It was so telling and seemed to 'act' for the camera.

Amazing discussion about dissociation from Chase. I have experienced both childhood and adult trauma (Pentagon 9/11 survivor) --did not understand that I experience dissociation until I was about 45 years old. It was a survival mechanism. So powerful, I sometimes dissociate from physical pain--not knowing I am injured. Yes, we can successfully learn to adapt and I have been fortunate to be able to contribute to society--but it leaves a feeling of not being understood by others and not understanding why--no matter how positive you try to be in your life and actions. I have been fortunate to seek and get help. Dad was a DDay vet and suffered PTSD--lot of complex trauma I have experienced/learned about. These videos are very educational, thank you.

EXACTLY! Chase hit the nail right on the head! When my best friend was murdered, ( by her Husband , it turned out) I WAS extremely calm ( ER mode, I worked at the ER) BUT, as I stepped through the back door ( I had gone to check on her) I stopped dead in my tracks, I froze. I had my 3 year old with me, and the door ( a heavy old oak door) was totally twisted sideways in the frame) , the blinds were all drawn ( 4pm in the afternoon) and I just froze. My gut was screaming " Get Out"! Somebody might still be in here!" I was calling out for her, and silence, yet her car and their truck was in the driveway...all these things hit me like bam, bam, bam... I'm so glad I didn't walk any further in. Losing my best friend in such a violent way was bad enough...but what I found out later about what was in that house, it dropped me to my knees. It's been 30 years..and I still, STILL...will NOT walk in any door that is left even slightly open. I carry an extra set of keys on my belt EVERY DAY. I lock my house if I even go out to work in my yard. I came home once from the grocery store, and my front door was open about 5" inches. I immediately backed away, called the Police, and they searched the whole damned house before I would go in. I live in a smaller rural area. Am I weird? Too careful? I don't give a damn what people think. I'm not taking any chances, when I can prevent, at least, the "Honest theives" from getting in, I'm doing it. I'm not stupid. I know from prior life experience that if someone wants in, they WILL get in. When I called the Police? It took them 25 minutes to get a deputy out there. I had to call from a neighbor's. 15 minutes after the first call, I called them again, mad as hell, and MY ONLY CONCERN, was if she was lying inside hurt, or God forbid, dead. I kept my shit together, because that's what I do. I've been around death a lot. But I was freaking frantic to get help! There's so much more to this whole thing, but it's not for me to share the whole truth. I'm just saying, ( and I know I tend to ramble) that what Chase said was right on the head. When I was talking to the State FBI person they sent out he asked me " Why did you stop? Why didn't you go in further to see if she was ok?" And what I told him was EXACTLY what I wrote above. " I got this feeling, this horrible fear, I guess you could call it, like.." Get out!" and so I did. I ALWAYS follow that gut feeling now. It doesn't happen often, but when it does? No matter the situation, I listen to it, consider it, and act if I need to.

I didn't have any idea at the time that it was " intuition" , or any of the info I've gleaned from watching these guys ( I really love watching their interactions, it's hilarius!) I just "knew" in my gut, and I thought that KBI guy was going to think I was crazy, when I told him why I backed out of the house, but he didn't. He nodded his head like that was normal. He was/ is a very sweet man, who ended up retiring, and then becoming our County Sheriff for several terms. Back to what you said, though, yes...definently have had that " instinct" since ( not THAT strong) and you better believe I listen to it.

My daughter started calling me the Human Lie Detector when she was a preteen I discovered when I was in my 30’s it is referred to as being an empath I had to learn to hide that part of me, at a very young age, in order to survive a narcissistic mother…it didn’t help very much

I saw a 12 year old get shot and I couldn’t even get it all out to the dispatcher . I wasn’t clear, I had to really think about what I just saw and repeat myself and it wasn’t even a family member . How is she showing no emotion ?

I've called 911 because I was in an accident before, and Chase is right. My brain was not functioning and I did not tell any kind of story. The only reason I said anything coherent is because the dispatcher was asking questions to get the key facts out of me. It was similar when a piece of wood flew into my mirror on the highway and broke it - two minutes into the convo with insurance, my brain reengaged and I realized I was babbling. Panic response does not result in a coherent story told beginning to end.

She was my neighbor, across the street i could open my front door and see directly into their front door. We moved into the house right across the street that same superbowl Sunday from Orlando. Much to our surprise our last trip of the night we got back from our 3rd and last trip from Orlando. And the street was blocked off, with alot of talking finally ,cause LE was staged in our driveway they let us in our house. So much more happened for days and weeks on end. But the thing that hits my core, was one evening I was walking my dog on the front lawn, and she in jogging clothes kinda appears out of nowhere, or maybe I didn't notice, but she says and I quote " hi I'm Rebecca I noticed you just moved in do you know or have u seen anything? " I told her no, she then asked "well you heard about my poor husband, you don't think I did it do you?" Rocked my core folks. Weirdest conversation I've ever had, and no my dog was not ok with her presence.

When my husband passed away when I called 911, as a nurse, I was trying to give them as much medical information as possible for the paramedics. But I was yelling at him to wake up and trying to do CPR. With a family member your not that calm.

Same when I found my late father & when I couldn't hear the 999 operator (CPR is HAAAAARRRRRRD work for those who have never done it! Most exhausting thing, emotionally & physically, I've done in my life!) I would also shout down the phone - which was on the floor - "Are you still there??!!!"

But she said she didn't even know whether he had fallen down the steps (wow, lots of blood for a fall!), had been stabbed, or been shot. Only that his eyes were open a bit and that she 'tried' twice to take his pulse. And before ALL that, she mentioned that the house was ransacked. She didn't do a very good job putting her story together. lol

There's nothing like a dog, to me and I've lost my precious companions over the years and, in time, the good things overshadow the sad things, but the sad things crop up, still, from time to time. Don't try not to grieve. Grief needs it's time. I'm feeling grief for the Boxer I rescued. Sandie was a loving girl and I learned, through her, why so many people love that breed.

@@mawmawvee Shadow was my first “adult pet” and someone just left him abandoned near a construction site. As soon as I showed his picture to my husband he said let’s go see him. The people at the animal shelter sneaked us to the back since he was in mandatory quarantine and we were able to see him. It was like finding a piece of our soul. They even waived his adoption fee. He had a lot of medical issues in the end but I would give it all for another snuggle. He was a chow chow and shiba inu mix, looked like a black bear and he was sooo grumpy. Very stubborn breeds but he was the best. I try to process the grief as best I can. I have his brother Ranger (dutch shepherd) and he is extremely attached to me so if I’m sad he will react and he has changed so much since Shadow passed. So I will allow myself to grief but I am very aware of Ranger because he gets depressed.
