Shredded Hash Browns Pakoras
As a proud mother of four, its my mission in life to find the easiest and tastiest recipes to cook.
I discovered this hack by sheer laziness and a bag of hash browns ready to expire in the freezer.
I wanted to make pakoras with the least amount of effort and use these hash browns.
It was an instant hit...everyone said these were the best pakoras they ever had!
Normally, I would add rice flour to make the pakoras crispy, but these came out so crispy that I did not need to add any rice flour or corn starch to the batter. Very pleased with this hack!

Ingredients
500gm | frozen shredded hash browns
1 cup | chickpea flour (besan)
100 gm | onion (one small)
1 tbs | green chili
3 tbs | fresh coriander
1.5 tsp | salt
1 tbs | coriander seeds
1 tbs | cumin seeds
1 tbs |dry chili flakes
Oil for deep frying
Chaat masala
Method
Mix together all the ingredients with the frozen hash browns.
The mixture at this stage would be very dry and does not come together.
Leave to defrost at room temperature for 30-45 minutes, time could vary as it depends on the temperature of the room.
The mixture in this time becomes moist and starts to come together.
I do not add any water to the batter.
Heat oil for deep-frying.
Fry pakoras on medium-low heat until brown.
Pakoras can be shaped with a spoon or with hand.
Sprinkle with Chaat masala before serving (optional).
