Hello my whoop friends. I developed this 2S whoop with a friend and we learned a lot from it. For example, 2S is more sensitive to (wrong) ESC settings than 1S (it burned down!). And that motor prop combos that work well for 1S (betafpv meteor75 pro → 1102 with 45mm props) often also work well for 2S. The concept of high kV motors (so that the pid loop works well and there is always enough power for every motor in every flight situation) also works great on 2S of this size (in combination with throttle cut scale 60%, throttle mid 0 and throttle expo 0.6 to tame the throttle). We also learned that the 2S can also be flown very quickly indoors if you have the right flight level (it's not easy). But also that you can fly faster with 1S (with preheated lipos) and also fly quickly more easily. We also learned that preheating Lipo to 40 degrees Celsius also works with 2S and is also a lot nicer to fly. The 80mm 1102 18000kV has become a great whoop that has taught us a lot. It's not faster than fast 1S whoops on medium-sized indoor racetracks like in the video, but it's particularly nice to fly. It would only be faster than 1S or as fast with the same weight. We also tried that with a homemade 2S 220mah 45C Lipo. However, the C rate is too low and as long as small 2S lipos with a high C rate and folded cells are not available, it makes no sense. The bottom line is: If you have 1102 18000kv motors and a 12A 2S AIO board (you have to take of a little bit of the frame ducts to fit the flightcontoller) and 2S 300mah 80C Lipos or 2S 380mah 90C then it's worth building this whoop. Otherwise, it's better to concentrate on 1S with high kv. If I forgot something or have any questions, please feel free to ask them in the comments.
Have fun recreating the whoop!
Happy whoopin! Whoop whoop! :-)

Fantastic flight! Snappy turns hitting those gates

Thank you! Yes, it's slowly getting better with the snappy turns. I'm not quite sure if I really like this flying style, but I think to be really fast you have to master it. Especially with drones with limited performance like tiny whoops..

Looks like it rips! Nice flying and cool tracks! I like that you included info about the quad at the end. You might try teasing that in the beginning to let people know the info is at the end.

Yes, it flies really well! I am very happy with the experiment and what we learned from it. Ok, thank you for the tip. I thought it was right with the reference to the chapters... don't you think?

@@butterflyfpv Haha - yeah, my bad. I guess I hovered over the thumbnail for a few seconds before I clicked on it because the video started after your notes.

i'm planning to upgrade my motor to 2s, but most of my batteries are 1s 450 - 550 mah, is it still good to fly with those batteries weight?

No, I do not think so. At least not for racing. I would say for racing a maximum of 2S 380mah 90C. With larger lipos I would recommend a mobula8 sized 85mm build with 1103 11000kV motors (or more kv if that's available)
