Imagine paying off your shoes on a 1 year loan, and have them break 6 months after buying. You would be paying half a year for nothing :D But, i actually remember the time when we had the same prices here in Estonia. The average salary was around 200-300 dollars. Most of the clothes we bought, were second-hand clothes. Luckily, things got better fast, after we joined the EU and moved away from Russian influence. My fathers' salary went from 200 dollars to 2000. Which, compared to the rest of the EU, isnt that much...but compared to 200 dollars...its a lot :D. Also, we never bought clothes on a loan. We did buy essential things on a loan though...like a washing machine or a fridge. Also, speaking of the current War in Ukraine. I did some math, and the amount of money Russia spent on the war first year means that every single russian(from infants to 90 year old grannies) paid roughly 400 dollars to the war effort in 2022. Considering the average salary, that is a lot.

The news of increasing prices with wages remaining at the same level have just started to be felt. The ruble is now down to 75.8 to the dollar, and more sanctions will make it more difficult to get even cat food. Assuming the conflict comes to an end in a year or two, foreign companies will not be interested to reopen branches in Russia, as most people will no more have the money to buy such goods. At least you have understood this depressing outlook. It's time to move.

Dear Kitten, in the US we have these large charity stores that carry all sorts of merchandise that was donated by people who just got tired of it...perfectly good clothing for a tiny fraction of the new price, and even shoes, if you can bring yourself to wearing somebody else's shoes.... a day in the sun works wonders for that, especially if they're just going to be tripping over the sidewalk or getting mud or dogshit on them...for a few pennies. I don't know if such stores even exist in Russia, but it's a money saving thing I do. I love you and your candid honest presentations. Please be careful and take care of yourself and those cats!! Best regards from JEFF

I hope she gets to come to America soon for she's good looking, smart, and motivated to do something. I bet she'd probably do better than I have yet I have 2 degrees and underemployed and carless. She of course would need a good sized starting cash to get a car, rent a place, and get set up after the flight for America isn't economical like years ago. Usually immigrants start off in one of their communities for housing, social support, and new connections to the job market which makes it possible for lots of new Americans.

Hi Julia. I wish that I could give you a big hug. I also wish that I could tell you to hang in there just a little bit longer and that the emotions you're experiencing will end soon, however I don't think anyone knows when the special military operation will end. Thanks for sharing how the past year has impacted your life. In one of the first videos that I saw of yours you were describing $6 cans of Pringles. I think it's interesting that Russians have apparently gone from $6 cans of Pringles to $6 2 l of Coca-Cola. Your comment about the loss of key friends reminded me of what some of us Americans have experienced arguably since 2016. There were some long-time friendships that ended after former President Donald Trump was elected, and then there were other friendships that ended for similar reasons during the course of the pandemic as it became difficult for some of us to stomach the blatant disregard of so many of those who we used to think of as close friends. Please keep your head up.

In many countries, for example my small cozy country of Denmark, we encourage people to do so. In school, we educate our kids not simply to agree with authorities, but to critically discuss and be part of the decision making. We don't want a population of sheep who follow a leader. We want a population of critical people, who think, get new ideas, and follow their own mind (without stepping on other people, of course).

Hi. First of all, as a viewer from Germany, let me tell you, that the people here don't hate Russia or russians. If somebody tells you this, he/she lies to you. We only hate ... you know who I'm talking about and why. Prices here in Germany also increased dramatically, because of the import ban on gas. I too have a feeling, that some companies here also are exploiting this situation and putting a price margin on top. But I get your point, the avarage salary in Germany is noticeably higher than in Russia. It makes me sad to see smart people who are complety disillusioned. After the effing covid pandemic '20 and '21 everybody thought it can only get better and then '22 was coming around the corner and said "hold my beer!" I'm also sad to tell you, that the relationship between Europe and Russia will never be the same as before '22. With time I think, it will get a bit better, though. So, hold on thight and I hope you will find I way to live a life.

As an author with now nine books worldwide I have never seen a good looking blond, (this kills all blond jokes) talk so long with great knowledge and unending rapid speech! We need you back in either our mountain lakes regions, or even the Gulf Shores, Alabama with that, cut out top that only enhances your beauty. We have one of America's lowest unemployment rates, 80 degrees today on my mountain on February 26th. Last week I ran into two Russian men who came over our southern border, one an engineer and the other will try to get a job at one of many new car plants, as he worked at V.W., which closed their plant in Russia. Over 900,000 of Russia's best educated professionals left when they did the forced military draft and they did not want to go kill their neighbors. This will pose a huge brain drain on all of Russia, as more want to leave this evil nation who wants every nations land, and uses the nuclear threat to create fear in most of Europe. Things will get much worse for Russia. Turkey is sending many of these products you see in her videos and they are a fence sitter with Russia buying their crude oil and processing into many products and sending to many nations. Turkey is a huge NATO member that controls the Bosporus Straight via the Montreux Convention, (signed in 1936), allows Turkey to control passage through to the Black Sea. Turkey is also trying to stop Finland & Sweden from joining NATO. Turkey is rebranding many American and western brand products and even shipping directly to Russia most of the retail food and non food products seen in retail Russian stores today. You can watch many channels that show these products and most likely future sanctions will try to stop this too! My wife and I travel the world and spent over a month three years ago in all the Baltic nations and into Russia and people were not happy even then and NO one smiles in Russia. Not like America and much of the western world where you do see people happy and smiling. The American border is for sure open and over ten million people will flood through before the end of Biden's term. Last count over 192 countries are seen represented in this unprecedented flood of people wanting freedom, democracy and an opportunity to raise their family in a strong nation that supports democracy worldwide! Question: How many people are trying to flood into Russia for a good place to raise a family? Kitty, come on down to Alabama, Gulf Shores and put you feet in our Gulf talcum powder sands and you could even bring that nice red top and be most welcome again in "Alabama The Beautiful" and do not worry about that Green Card either, we can handle that little detail! Great job on your video too. You are the only person I ever saw smiling in all of Russia and we were there and saw a nation of gloom and for sure the evil empire that just keeps on keeping on with despair and bad intentions for all freedom loving nations.

The country's high GDP debt and a political landscape marred by manipulation and deceit have created an environment of instability both domestically and globally. In markets like New York Real Estate, the real estate market has become overstimulated and speculative, leading to a crisis in rentals and property prices. Even for the wealthy, it can be difficult to live comfortably due to public service and infrastructure issues. In contrast, China has implemented a social credit system and tiered cities to mask its real estate problems, but the recent Chinese real estate crisis has shown that this approach may not be sustainable in the long term. China's economy has experienced significant growth, but there are concerns that it may not be sustainable and could lead to an economic crisis. High debt-to-GDP ratios, overinvestment in certain sectors, and potential political instability could threaten the country's economic success. Similarly, Brazil is facing a complex and intriguing situation. Brazil is a country with enormous potential, but its value in the global position has been underestimated. The country has faced political instability, corruption, and economic recession in recent years. Nevertheless, there is hope for sustainable economic growth and stability in Brazil, but this requires a change in people's mindsets, which is a tough challenge. Embracing sound principles such as personal responsibility, entrepreneurship, and free-market competition is essential for fostering a culture of prosperity and stability in the long term. My perspective on the world is that we face significant political and economic challenges that we have failed to address. The global economic system has faced numerous setbacks, and many countries are struggling to maintain stability. There are fears that a recession could occur, and there are indications that such a downturn could be severe. In recent years, there has been a growing trend towards authoritarianism around the world. This shift is evident in many countries where leaders are consolidating power and limiting the rights and freedoms of their citizens. In some cases, this has led to political instability and unrest. The rise of authoritarianism can be attributed to several factors, including a lack of trust in democratic institutions, economic instability, social polarization, and manipulation of masses. Some people believe that strong, centralized leadership is necessary to address these challenges, and authoritarian leaders often promise stability and security in exchange for greater control over citizens' lives. However, this approach comes at a cost. Authoritarianism is antithetical to the principles of human prosperity. It restricts free speech, suppresses dissent, and undermines the rule of life. It can also lead to corruption, violence, and abuses of power, as those in authority are less accountable to their citizens. The situation in Russia is particularly distressing, as the government's war actions have led to widespread poverty and even starvation for some of its citizens closing the country. It is heartbreaking to see people suffering in this way due to the actions of an authoritarian regime starting a war for territory. However, it is important to note that the "Ocident" (the West) is not without its failures either. There is a global war to regain territory, but the people living in those territories often desire the freedom and opportunities that are offered in the West, despite its imperfections. Unfortunately, Western countries also face problems with corruption and manipulation in their governments, which can erode the trust of the people and undermine their democracy. the world needs a change.

I always love your videos, you have a great sense of humour. I guess if you are determined to leave Russia and you are not going to go down the marriage for a green card route (good for you, it shows that you have self respect), then I guess the most obvious option will be to continue to build up your youtube channel so that you can get enough subscribers and donors/patrons in order for you to be able to afford to live in another country. There are quite a few examples of other youtubers that have done it. Natasha, depressed russian, NFKRZ have gone to georgia, that seems like a good place to start with while you work out a longer term plan. So keep on with the videos and work on increasing your subscriber base. Personally, i love the outdoor wandering around exploring vlogs that Natasha makes (I assume you know who I mean). I think these would have a wider potential audience too, especially with your wicked sense of humour. So maybe something to consider. One final question, if you do end up leaving Russia, what will you do with your cats?

It's brilliant that you've documented your time during the War with such good humour but I'm sorry you're having to deal with all this especially at your age. Hang in there yo, you'll get out of there soon and hopefully working somewhere better than an Alabama McDonald's. ❤️‍🩹

@@KittenYulia What I don't understand is why such a stunningly beautiful young woman can't find a nice wealthy American husband if you so desperately want to live in America? I know a lot of 'modern' women want to build careers of their own, but you must have guys lining up all day and all night just to have the chance to even speak with you? Funny, smart, beautiful. What's not to love?
