That's not always true. My second wife and I were and still are friends. We had a son together and I stayed in his life. She had her issues which is why we divorced. I was better off on the outside.
If "just friends now" means talk once every couple months, it's a good sign. Shows a lack of bitterness and a degree of maturity. If they talk daily? Run.
A HUGE 🚩 She has been in horrible past relationships/marriage and every single thing that you do reminds her of what she had been through or done to her by the last “man” . And you get blamed and accused unrelentingly

I can’t say I’ve ever met a woman that truly takes accountability. In my experience most woman that do admit fault do so with the caveat of, “I’m sorry but…” and that “but” is typically followed by something that someone else did to prompt whatever she did wrong.

Appears to be someone you want to like, but there's a lack of authenticity going on. Anyone wearing a sports coat, starched shirt, and facial hair seems out of step with the way most guys dress nowadays -- and the pocket-handkerchief. Humm. Seems to be stuck in a time warp. An few extra red flags Open relationships. If a girl wants an open relationship she essentially wants to keep you around but be able to jump to the next ship. As a woman, I say Work on yourself and understand you to completeness. When you are grounded you know what is acceptable, the values you want, and will attract like minded individuals. Start by taking a personality test. There are a lot of them. Personally, I found the Myers-Briggs more helpful than any other. It also indicates what are your partners that complement your personality. Usually introverts need an extrovert and vice versa. As an extrovert, it’s frustrating to talk to another extrovert. Can’t get a word in! When you do evaluate yourself, know what your triggers are and dissect it. This associated with trauma and you will need to address it. Dr Gabor Mate has some excellent vids on that.

I feel like all women have one or two of these issues, but sometimes it's just a sign of immaturity. They grow out of it especially if you bring it to their attention right off the bat. No one wants to have to fix anyone and no one is perfect, but if she's generally pretty good, but kinda has some areas to work on, it's worth the effort to give her a nudge in the right direction as long as it's just one or two things. Leaving her stuck in her ways is a bad idea. Then again, I've been with the same person for about 25 years and the world has changed; I may not know what I'm talking about...

Bro you nailed every one I saw in my ex's. The one I want to add is The guy doing everything and giving her time but she doesn't return the love. Example you call to say hi or good morning and she barely returns the same kindness.
An important caveat for that is to make sure she actually values that though. Some women just dont care about "good morning good night" stuff. A good way to check is suddenly stop doing it and see if she lashes out. If she does its time to go.

The very 1st Red Flag you mentioned was exactly what I was dealing with in one of my relationships from the past and to this day.....she's still the same way towards me. I guess I'm not the only one that feels that way about her in my opinion because she's still single and it's been over 10 yrs since I last saw her. I just recently visited her for a few days and nothing's changed when it comes to me. Big red flag is a woman who gradually stops you talking to/spending time with your friends. I worked with a guy for several years and we would go out as a group of friends after work or meet up for birthdays at the weekends, for example. He met a girl and he then stopped coming out with us, ignored our calls/texts and eventually we never heard from him again. He's now married to her.

I didn't read through all of the comments, so someone might have already mentioned this one. "If she tries to hide her interactions on her phone from you." A loyal and honest woman won't care if you see her phone and what she does on it.
