Hey Psych2Go I don’t really know how to explain this but, I have a crush and we used to talk a lot and then his friend died :( so he was suffering quite a lot. We don’t talk as much more but when i try to avoid him(trying to make it less awkward) he questions me. Like today I was at school and he tried to come near me and talk to me about it but I kept moving away because I didn’t wanna make it obvious. We still talk but not as much and I think he is maybe confused why I try to avoid him but I’m also confused because his actions have changed almost as if he doesn’t care but then he like switches. He won’t care for a second but then I do one thing and he suddenly cares? Sorry if this doesn’t make sense- please help 😔

My gf was loosing interest. We were in LDR. Our relationship was getting boring. We didn't had stuff to talk about. So, I thought of playing games with her to make thing interesting again. Played a questions game for couples "Lovify". And, it turned out to be a really fun game. Who thought asking questions would be fun. Enjoyed some funny and some serious questions. Now, we are good. Both sides have to work to maintain the relationship-if they really love each. The relationship can’t just stay in the honeymoon phase forever. Also, I’ve never been in a relationship but the relationship getting boring seems like a normal problem

You know there’s a usual pattern with people who do this. When you confront them about how you feel or what’s going on, there’s usually a form of gaslighting that they do, making it seem like YOURE the one that fell too hard, when nine times out of ten, they’re usually the ones who initiate or lavish on you to the point where you get attached. For anyone experiencing number 5, DONT GET ANGRY! Too many times in my 20s did I take being ignored way too personally, and every time I lost my patience and sent a passive aggressive text to draw attention to me being ignored. DONT! If they’re starting to leave you on read, keep your dignity and move on or let them chase you. Otherwise, you’re only validating their loss of interest toward you and making yourself look a whole lot less desirable.

So I just started dating this boy, he has always been king of quite and keeps to himself. He’s genuinely a really sweet person and he’s fun to be around. I’m a heterosexual man and I’ll tell people that I’d bang Ewan McGregor from Star Wars, no homo. I really wouldn’t bang him if I was put in a situation where I had the opportunity, but my point is that straight men can have their attention drawn to good looking men the same as they do women; They call it “being attractive” for a reason. They just don’t say it openly to avoid confusing people about their sexuality, unless they are really comfortable about who they are. As for being quiet, as long as he is still initiating hangouts and conversations with you he probably just prefers your company over conversation, is still warming up to you, or both. In my experience, the only sure sign that someone is losing interest is when they constantly come up with excuses to not hangout, or they bail on a hangout and never reschedule. Hopefully my message wasn’t too late and everything good with you guys. Wherever his heart is or was, just know these things take time to get right, and if you fail that just means you’ve learned a new way to navigate a problem. These things come with experience and time, and A LOT of trial and error.

Happened to me in my last relationship. She was hanging out with someone that had the same interests as her and was less interested in the relationship we had, however I kind of felt the same way. We didn't really have much in common, and we had a very different lifestyle. We broke it off. However, we stayed in touch and are still friends to this day. A couple years later, I found someone who was more in tuned with me. Had similar core values, interests, dreams and lifestyle. I think we both found what we are looking for in each other. Hope people here don't give up. Keep improving on yourself and don't stop looking for the right person for you.

Tell them that you think the relationship is fading out, ask if they wanna work on it or move on. Having an answer from them is always better than nothing. I've known some people who just don't do well long distance because they're better at interacting in person instead of doing it through texting or calling. It's hard, it's painful, and I wish you all the love and courage. You got this!

That means, you do whatever you need to not constantly remind yourself of them...whether that’s finding another outlet to fill the void or just unfollowing them on social media. I hope that at least some of you guys had the privilege of recognizing what’s going on before you’re in your most vulnerable place. @Hispanic American Or be an adult and put in hard work and don't be lazy at it and give up, and keep the interest going. you don't need to find anyone who is perfect. the most important quality in any person I meet is just one thing, they put in effort and work with me to keep it going. And all it takes is for both sides to breath on the embers of the relationship and soon the flames of passion roar again. Pathetic people give up when the first few cycles of passion and embers go up and down. That's just how love is, and always has been and always will be. you can either learn how our biology and nature work and work with it or people can just search and waste their life in vain chasing perfection that doesn't exist, while throwing away dozens of good and good enough options. And the real point is hardly anyone deserves perfection so people need to stop thinking they should be owed a great partner, if a person feels they are owed that from life and deserve it then they defiantly don't. what people ought to do is take what is good and polish it over their life with the other person and by the end, you'll share something near perfect. Good things are worked for they don't just fall easily into some ones lap. And way to many people don't realize how to work at a relationship.

The person i was talking too was even unavailable for much of the time and have many other sexual partners and it was at a long distance yet I put in the wishes, hopes, dreams and needs and let me suffer through another four weeks of what if and two weeks of restoration and now another two weeks of suffering over it ending again and not knowing what to do it anything with it.

One thing to remember is , if you’re in a relationship where the other girl/ boy doesn’t do most of the reaching out , texting etc and it’s mostly YOU doing all the chasing , how into you ARE they really ? Do they love attention ? Does it make them feel special when it’s you who always texts first? Try leaving it a day . My lady will often text me if she hasn’t heard a peep from me all day, and yes I’m ALWAYS texting her first 🤬

everytime I did this, I proved nothing. simply because... the other persone had already lost every interest in me. so, acting like you don't care, it's just a way for making things easier to them: they see you stopped caring as well and have the perfect excuse to leave for good. but... truth is: while they REALLY don't care; ours is just a pretense and we still care. yet, is better to let others slip away from our lives in these cases... it's painful at the start, but it's a huge pleasure later on

Thank you for mentioning this! And sometimes it can also mean that the person is having too much on their plate at the moment (finals, endless doctor appointments etc.). Sometimes I feel like such an awful friend for disappearing from social media and turning off my phone (thus, disrupting all contact) for a couple of weeks, but I do that mostly during major mood swings and other bad things that can result in me lashing out on my friends. And it can be hard to explain to some people... So thank you so much for bringing this up, it's really important to take this into consideration sometimes~

So true. I recently due to quarantine pulled back from social media from everything really and as my mental health plummeted I decided to fix that and I knew the only way to fix it was to pull away from everyone... It's working but I feel like I should have gone about it better... But then again telling other people about my problems is almost selfish when they have so many of their own. Ugh it's just an ongoing cycle. So making sure people are aware that others have problems too it can really save a friendship in the long run...

I fell into a depression without realizing it a few months ago. Due to it and not being able to openly communicate the symptoms to my partner, I unintentionally displayed all these signs to her. Evntually she left me, also without clearly communicating her fears and hurt to me. I feel so miserable having given her these signs although losing interest in her was the last thing I did. She's an overthinker as well. I tried to reach out to her again, but apparently she doesn't believe in second chances. I thought a lot about myself and how I feel and how I want to feel and your videos really helped me a great lot to deal with this situation somehow but I miss her so much. To all the other people out there facing hardship, please speak with your partners. They aren't at your side for no reason and avoid sending them wrong singals by trying to handle everything alone.

Just got out of a two year relationship literally yesterday. Same situation I was in 7 years ago. Wish this video had been around then. I was desperately trying to maintain my relationship while being left out of practically everything. He never had time for me, but managed to have time for others, especially his new GF that he cheated on me with for 1.5 years, unbeknownst to me, before finally leaving me. It's a very traumatizing experience. Especially when you find out about the being cheated on when you've reconnected 5 years later.

OMG. I thought you were my ex for a second, but then you wrote that she found someone else(which I definitely didn’t) . From my point I can honestly say that I suffered from depression and anxiety, and my ex couldn’t deal with me not being as attentive. It’s hard, because I really tried, and although we co-ended it, it still felt like he just left me stranded in the middle of the ocean by myself. COVID just started, I couldn’t really escape, so I had to face my demons alone. The difference is that I admitted during the breakup that I’m not good enough for him because I couldn’t provide the attention he wanted. It’s a shame that your ex just held onto you for so long. Hope you’re in a better place today😊

Thank you for this. I feel the writing has been on the wall for me with a few friendships but the people- pleaser/chaser in me keeps putting out all this effort. But if I am honest, I am usually the one reaching out, their answers are short and abrupt, and they won't follow up with stuff I might have mentioned from a previous conversation or ask me questions. These friendships I have had for many years so part of me keeps trying. But I am clearly doing myself a disserve, communication and connection is not one-sided. It hurts though. Also, the fact that I keep looking for videos or articles like this is perhaps confirmation of what I already know, they are not interested, and the friendship is no longer open, free, and trusting, which means it's not a friendship.

so true. i think whether be it a crush or a normal friend, if they are interested, they will arrange another time to meet up even if they are unable to make it for the day you suggested. i guess that's how i managed to get over my crush, because although she said we could hang out some day, she turns me down whenever i suggest something and never gave any counter suggestions. we were close friends actually, i was rejected by her but we were still close, or so i thought. i've only just finally realised i was never a priority in her life. i guess i've finally managed to close a chapter in my life :)

Simply saying other people dont deserve you and that they never cared regardless of the situation is an extremely toxic way of moving on where you put others down to feel better yourself. You can also accept feelings and situations change as you are not entitled to someones time amd affection constantly. And it often has nothing to do with the person you are. People are allowed to choose for their own happiness. And of you accept that this happened it means there is no longer the connection you want. You can move on and find a match that suits you. Dont become a vindictive dick where you can only move on when the other party "is someone who doesnt deserve you" its not strength when you think like that. But weakness as you put every "fault" on the other party.

I lived every bit of every one they explained. And the worst part is. It happened so much. I started tellin females way in the beginning on day one. "If you feel at anytime that your feelings have changed.. That you've lost interest... That you made some decisions that don't involve me. Plz tell me as soon as you feel that way... I rather not guess the signs.." But they all seem to just gimme signs instead. I even tell them I won't get dramatic or disrespectful about it... But they still do that. Hey I'm returning to this video because when I watched it on the release date my crush showed me all this signs and eventually he dated my highschool bully/manipulative ex friend. Nowadays it doesn't seem like a big thing but at that moment I thought my world was going to end. Now this video appeared in my recommendation list again and there is a Girl I have feelings for, so if it happens the same this time I'm ready I don't care how many time history repeats itself I will never surrender on trying to find an ideal match for me. If she is happy with other guy or girl I will still love her but I will try to find someone else because as she deserves to be happy so do I. Even for the recognition *Brian Hacks* gets, his skills is so underrated at least by most tech fans in general. I mean I get that there is stamina and all that involved in things like he does but being able to stand so far away and have the ability get the information needed with high speed as expected to hit it perfectly with a paddle just over the net is extremely impressive.

@@IceCreamMilkshake777 What I meant ^ was that once he receives what he did to you, he'll realise how it would actually feel. And he'd understand how horrible it feels to be... almost neglected. A bit like 'eye for an eye' ! But- Maybe you're too up n' beyond for him? Usually, it's the 'good' ones who end up being tossed away like garbage/rubbish. I'm sorry you feel that way, but I'm sure he'd come to realise how foolish he possibly would've been to 'distance' himself from you (or ignoring you?). And regret his actions once there's a bit o' compassion. But obviously this depends on the reasons why... he's behaving that way.

I wouldn’t say fear, I’m going through a dark time. My ex left me prob bcs he fell out of love. He led me on thoguh which kinda hurt. But just learn to guard your heart and be your own best friend. Guard your heart and know that there’s always going to be many relationships that are going to make you learn.

I related to 9/10 of these signs. I was in a 3 year relationship that ended a month ago. My ex went on a trip on June and 2 weeks before I saw him for the last time in July, he asked me when we would meet because he had to talk with me. I asked him what was that he wanted to talk about but he avoided the question, so I asked him if he wanted to break up and he answered yes. I was sad but we kept talking until we met. During those 2 weeks before we met, he changed completely; for him it was all over, but as for me, I still had hopes that if there was a problem we could find the solution together. The day we met he broke up with me without any consideration. He just said he didn't want a relationship anymore and that there wasn't an explanation. He just didn't want to be in a relationship anymore. Also, he talked about wanting to move to another country. He treated me like we didn't spend together 3 years and I felt like a disposable object because of the way he broke up with me. I couldn't believe his lack of empathy, and I can't understand it yet. Maybe he was sick of pretending to be in love with me, but I think he could have been honest from the very first moment he started to lose interest. Idk, I feel really hurt right now because he used to care about me, but at the end he acted so indifferent towards my feelings. Anyways, I better think he did a favor to me putting an end to us. I deserve to be loved and appreciated. We all do. If you read this and related to it, I send you a big hug. Let's remember that this too shall pass and that all the pains eventually die. Hugs.

@How Why he wasn't respectful at all... He was honest, yeah, maybe, I still don't know if he really just ended everything without a reason, but he behaved so cold and indifferent, like if I were a stranger. He barely explained why he wanted to break up and I think it was unfair bc for me it was an unexpected change, so I believe I deserved a better ending. He didn't even say sorry for not telling me before about his plans or feelings. I'm sorry if your ex acted worse, but don't tell me I'm lucky, cause it really hurted me and still hurts. It doesn't hurt like the first three months but it still hurts and it's almost 6 months since we haven't heard about each other.

I honestly Cant believe what I just read. I experienced almost exactly with slight differences, it was honestly scary reading this. Like even my own Ex was named Alejandra too. She wants to move to another country and live of the land and I tried my best to make it work but that's not what she wants. She wasn't really disrespectful about it but, It feel sudden and completely random for me. This just happed around the end of December and some of January I wish you the best and to know that you are getting better, I know I can too so lets do our best

This is almost exactly how it happened to me last week and he said the same things. I still cant believe it cause i was ready to give my everything in this relationship of 4 years. I still had hope these past days but now he became so cold in my eyes and i keep remembering the flaws i overlooked. I had started to accept them and believed we would change and evolve together for the better. I thought we were going to be there for each other through thick and thin, for a long time.. hes my first relationship ever, as well..I keep thinking i wish i couldve done better but at the same time, just like you sometimes i get the thought that he did me a favor..I send you love and hugs.

@@spike6898 haha, yeah, I think it's bizarre you lived almost the same situation. You'll be fine. The first months are the most hard ones. Let yourself feel all the emotions: pain, anger, sadness, longing, etc. In my case it helped me to write about every thought and feeling until I got tired. Now I barely do it bc I don't think I have much to say. Maybe I'm starting to move on even though I still miss him sometimes. But it's true I'm so much better now that's been 6 months. I wish you all the best in your healing path. Hugs!

@@sunshineee1547 I'm sorry to heart that. I felt the same way :/ and my ex was my first bf too. It's really hard at the beginning but I'm sure we'll be fine. Actually, now that's been 6 months since the break up, I can totally say that I'm feeling better. I still get sad and cry and miss him sometimes, and I still remember him everyday but it's not longer that hard. The first months I used to dream of him every night and I barely eat well and he was all day in my mind. Now even though I still remember him everyday it's not all the time and it's not that painful to think of him.
