Chris Boyle I don't know if that's a sarcastic laugh, but in case it wasn't, I would point out that this is probably the most talented roster in history.
John Morrison, without-a-doubt. He was one of the most innovative wrestlers of his time. Not only did he have amazing physique, but he was super talented, in the ring. After the whole R-Truth thing, he just kinda went in a downward spiral.
Damien Sandow, Evan Bourne, Maven, Zach Gowen, Nathan Jones, Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Ted Dibiase Jr., Tajiri, The Hurricane, Charlie Haas, John Morrison, Justin Gabriel, Wade Barrett, Rusev and Cody Rhodes/Stardust all have my vote.
Bassline sounds Like I stated in my last comment, my fingers got too tired to type all of the talent that WWE wasted/is wasting. But yea him, Neville, Fandango, X-Pac, Mr. Kennedy, The Boogeyman, Finlay, Cryme Tyme, and Umaga (R.I.P) are some more that come to mind as well.
Buzzerk Brasken Morrison I'll agree with. Barrett never really seemed to love the business from what I saw of him. RVD screwed himself with the whole drugs thing, and Lashley did get a good push but it was too much too soon for him. I think if they did the same with him now he could main event Mania in a few years.
I still say that, when Damian Sandow was doing his Mizdow schtick, he could have become that crazy guy who just copied everyone in the ring. Using everyone's moves on the. Damian Sandow doing the RKO to Randy Orton. Picture it.
so much build up in WM 31 with his feud with The Miz... just to get his ass kicked, becoming twice the jobber he was and with that stupid Macho Mandow gimmick that got cancelled thanks to Hull Cogan saying the N Word
Xx-Bryan The Wolf-xX B2K In the privacy of his own home... Still doesn't excuse it, but are we now prosecuting people for doing things in their own homes? If so, 90% of the country would be fired/sued/whatever.
holy shit imagine if he won in elimination chamber. Bourne was exciting to watch, and Morrison could've been champion. Kozlov was put in a goof kind of thing
Aj styles who is the best wrestler in the world in 2015.kevin owens the best heel in the company right now ,seth rollins .im not saying that dolph is not good but he is not the best superstar in the roster right now.
+gildrop Kevin Owens, AJ Styles and Sami Zayn. There are so many great guys like Luke Harper, Bray Wyatt, Ziggler or Ambrose and who do we have as the champion ? Its sad
RVD was huge in the hardcore era, and Morrison had a huge run with the Miz as well as a big face turn afterwards and a heel run as Johnny Nitro beforehand.
I know this comment is old but didn't RVD throw away his opportunity getting caught smoking weed. That was shortly after winning the wwe championship if I'm not mistaken.
+Ricardo Von-Raynts Bray Wyatt definitely has the potential and the rest of the Wyatt family has the opportunity to step up their game when Bray finally hits the spotlight. The issue now though is Bray got injured during a house show. Honestly, with the brand merge that Triple H did back in 2011 this was bound to happen with Smackdown being taped the day after RAW and then house-shows spanning across the rest of the week, really taxing the hell out of WWE superstars who are already always on the road, now having to attend double the live events. The two things that needs to happen if WWE wants to escape this downward spiral is to split the roster and branding between RAW and Smackdown again. Then get rid of their creative. They're probably the one thing hurting WWE the most.
While I understand people's frustration, Bray can't be hurt. Like Cena, he could lose for a year straight and still get the same kind of reactions. Let's allow his character to elevate others for now, see who can hang with guys like him, and we'll have us a badass roster that isn't just full of hand picked "superstars" and Internet sensations. Just my two cents.
F1U1C1K1NGninjas yes, I agree in something he got his reaction as the undertaker or John, but FOR FUCK SAKE LET THIS WHINY LITTLE PIECE OF SHIT CALLED ROMAN REINGS HAD ALREADY 3!!! YES 3 FUCKING TITLE REIGNS AND WYATT DOESN'T HAVE EVEN 1??? that's unfair, because even if Dean had those championships I would agree but not Roman
F1U1C1K1NGninjas but as we know, Vince love Roman ass so much so he will push him forever and ever even when he get the biggest "boo" in history, wrestlemania, raw after wrestlemania, heck every time Roman appears he got booed
+Philip Karovski I liked him better as a heel when he was beating up CM Punk and he was all "I am beyond good and evil". He had real potential to be this shallow, self centered rockstar who believes himself to be enlightened and thus superior to everyone else. But they turned him face, his woman start to sleep with anything that moved- particularly Batista, and then Morrison fell from grace and was lost in the wave of talent that the WWE misused. Which is a shame because had they of took the time with him to build him up and help him get even better- Morrison could be on a level that guys like HBK and Ziggler had reached.
TheJayMadd1 CM Punk won two Money in the Banks in a row. Like Three times WWE champion with one of those runs lasting more than a year. ECW Champion. Like Three times World Champion. CM PUNK was easily the most overpushed, overrated, and boring superstar that had such a great run in the WWE. The only good thing about him was his mic skill but apart from that,Absolute blandness as a wrestler.
Evan Bourne, John Morrison, Ezekial Jackson, Tajiri, Curt Hawkins, Ultimo Dragon, Bobby Lashley, Soon To Be The Wyatt Family, Neville, Cesaro, Big E, Rusev, Naomi, shall I continue
WWE doesn't know how to book a losing streak. Losing streaks are for rookies you want to make look good while they are losing so there's no surprise when they start winning.
I've never seen a black WWE champion. And there's been good candidates. Until I see one, negative things like a losing streak is suspect when done to black wrestlers
I agree 10000000% about Dolph Ziggler. He's been around for so long and hasn't gotten what he deserves. Whenever it seems like they're building him up, they take him back down.
John Morrison should be on this list. Should've been a world champion, He had absolutely everything WWE wants from a superstar, and what fans want from a wrestler.
I'm gonna say it right now. i stopped watching wcpw simply because of two things: 1. ross' commentary. I understand you need a heel commentator, but he did it WAY TOO WELL. and 2. the way they treat jack the jobber. WE GET IT, HE'S YOUNG. STOP CALLING HIM 5 YEARS OLD!
John Morrison, R Truth, Matt Hardy, Cody Rhodes, Mr.Kennedy, Kofi Kingston, I'd probably also say Mark Henry... he deserves a chance for the amount of years he's Jobbed to everyone...
"Dolph Ziggler" They're giving him another push! Ziggles has gone from jobber to being the Smackdown entrant to contest against Dean Ambrose at Summer Slam. It's gon' be goooooooood!
The Ultimate list of Wasted Talent - Shelton Benjamin - Muhammed Hassan - Damien Sandow (I have no idea why he isn't being used on TV) - Chavo Guerrero (Should have had a US or IC run at some point and shouldn't have jobbed to hornswoggle) - Drew Mcintyre - Heath Slater (has been in multiple Jobber groups) - Evan Bourne - Justin Gabriel - Zack Ryder - DH Smith - Dolph Ziggler - Wade Barrett (should have won the WWE title when he was in Nexus) - Tyler Breeze (he's a jobber now but he could be a solid mid carder) - Low Ki/Kaval (Won NXT season 2 had a couple of matches then was released) - Cody Rhodes (should have won a world title during his phantom of the opera gimmick) - Colt Cabana/Scotty Goldman - The Brian Kendrick (good gimmick was decent on the mic went no where) - MVP - Mr Kennedy/Mr Anderson - John Morrison/Johnny Mundo - Sean O'Haire - Paul Burchill - Brodus Clay - DDP - Raven - Tajiri - Super Crazy (Was given a lawnmower gimmick) - Kid Kash (Was good in ECW and early TNA never really went anywhere in the WWE) - Kassius Ohno/Chris Hero (Was in NXT at one point) - Richie Steamboat (Was also in NXT at one point) - Bo Dallas (Was given a winning streak just to lose to Mark Henry) - Vader - Natalya - Adam Rose/Leo Kruger (should have kept the Leo Kruger gimmick) - Rusev - Curtis Axel - Brian Pillman - Owen Hart - Kofi Kingston (by himself without New Day) - Bray Wyatt - Lance Storm - Rene Dupree - Rob Conway - Ultimo Dragon - Vance Archer/Lance Hoyt - Tyler Reks - Alex Riley - Solomon crowe/Sami Callihan - Mason Ryan - R Truth (Should have won the WWE title on his heel run) - Lord Tensai - Jimmy wang yang (Who gave him this gimmick?) - Matt Morgan (Not a great wrestler but giving him a stutter gimmick didn't help) - Yoshi Tatsu - Chris Harris/Braden Walker - Dean Douglas/Shane Douglas
I absolutely agree. I'd put Lance Storm on that list, too. That guy was fantastic in WCW, he was winning championships, woulda won their world title too had WCW stuck around longer. And he knew how to be a really good Heel. He would have been an amazing WWE world champion, such a shame that never happened.
+bdiddy2k6 Okay I'll add Curtis Axel, Brian Pillman, Owen Hart, Kofi Kingston and Bray Wyatt but I'm leaving off Dean because I think they are going to give him the WWE title the future.
Shelton Benjamin was so underrated, pissed me off. He is definitely 1 of the best athletes WWE has had, and they underused him. Shen he was in a ladder match/ Money in the Bank, u just knew ge was gonna create chaos
Emperor Nero yeah true man, but he still had great skill. I would much rather see him preform in big matches, rather than have crappy story-lines. Like even The Miz has been World Champion, Shelton deserved a chance.
Kofis in a good spot now with the New Day but you're absolutely right hes always been a phenomenal talent very similar to Shelton Benjamin and looked like world title material during that feud with Randy Orton and then idk what happened he just kinda meandered around the mid card for 5 years
+The Notorious MW I know right! And that's true that he's great with New Day, but he never really got his push as singles competitor. Yeah that feud with Randy Orton made him look extreme, but sadly Randy Orton called him a stupid jobber because he miscues a punt kick (which made Randy Orton look stupid on air) which is why he never got his title opportunity and was sent back to midcard.
Even though this list is near endless at this point, I'm always happy when people acknowledge the colossal waste of Shelton Benjamin. Off the top of my head they also wasted/are wasting Charlie Haas, Wade Barrett, Damien Sandow. Cody Rhodes, Cesaro, Kofi Kingston and gah the list is too long!
Kasia Mateja The showoff gimmick has been misused and run it's course, they ruined him the minute he went babyface. He needs to do a 360 and stay off the mic a bit, and start running a more devastating looking move set. His flashy moves are kinda meh now after seeing them for how many ever years, he needs to start looking like he's hurting his opponents lol...I feel like they might put him on the chopping block with all the new talent flooding in.
+Lamesauce85 i think he is meant to be a heel, but not an angry, destructive one, but an arrogant, narcissistic shitbag, like alberto del rio was when he debuted
I'm feeling like he might have to go destructive badass for like a month or two to get some heat back, then ease back into his arrogant I'm better then you role. I think he needs to jar his fans a little to wake them back up.
The greatest thing about Zack Ryder was his old entrance song with his tag partner, whatever his name may be, and his youtube videos. After he stopped that it was over.
One thing: The current Sin Cara is portrayed by Hunico, not by Místico, who after a stint with AAA as Myzteziz, is back with CMLL as Carístico (because they have a new luchador called Místico). The former Místico was quietly released in 2014 and replaced by Hunico, who previously played Sin Cara (Negro) in the Sin Cara Azul vs Sin Cara Negro angle.
Wade Barrett 100%, had John Cena not interfered in his rematch with Randy Orton in 2010, then we would've had at least 1 WWE Championship Title, instead of a couple of Intercontinental Titles and Status as King of the Ring, that is one truly unsatisfied man there
ive been looking at these comments and seeing a shit ton of name that are being used perfectly for other promotions Shelton- currently afk but had a hell of a run with NJPW as a part of Suzuki-Gun along with a couple of title reigns Drew- TNA world champ ex Evolve Tag Champ PWG superstar represented the UK in the Lucha Libre World Cup etc. Evan Bourne- Went back to working as Matt Sydal and works for ROH/NJPW up there on top contenders for ROH world title(with a couple of title matches in there) and ex IWGP Junior Tag Champ J-Mo- Works for LU as Johnny Mundo and a top tier star there and i dont want to spoil anyone that watches LU what he has in season 3 Derrick Bateman- EC3 in TNA former world champ Justin Gabriel- also works for LU and former TNA King of The Mountain Champ and GFW Next Gen champ when he was signed to GFW
Ron Simmons, Mike Awesome, Dolph Ziggler, Rhyno, Raven, Drew Mcntyre, DDP, Lance Storm/Justin Credible (as a tag-team), Paul Burchill & Katie Lea Burchill, Shelton Benjamin, Test, Davey Boy Smith (he should have won the Rumble in 95 I stand by it), DH Smith and Natalya, Sean O'Haire, Joe Hennig (Curtis Axel), Mr Perfect, John Morrison, Wade Barrett, William Regal, Owen Hart, Rene Dupree and the most obvious and most recent is Sting by a mile
Shelton Benjamin is still among my favourite in-ring performers of all time, and among the most underrated wrestlers ever. He just needed a manager to do the talking for him (*cough cough* Paul Heyman *cough cough*) and he would have been a legit main eventer. JoMo could have been added to this list too. I don't think it's fair to call Zack Ryder the most wasted WWE superstar of all time. He's realllly popular, and a hard worker, but isn't good enough in the ring to warrant more than a mid-card spot imo. Even when he's pushed, people never really seem to take him seriously. Steamboat stole the show with Macho Man at Mania with a bonafide 5 star match, and was just as (if not more) popular than Ryder so I think he deserved the top spot.
+ViperRulerlm Honestly, It Wasn't WWE's fault that Kennedy was a waste, he was injury prone, unsafe to work with and got suspended for steroid violations.
Essa Rios... seriously the dude was good. His high flying lucha style was a little too much for WWF back in the day (especially before Mysterio made the jump) but watch his matches. The man was insane.
Drew McIntyre is and always will be my favorite wrestler besides Stone Cold. His entrance music was freaking awesome, he had good style, and his double underhook DDT looked brutal when the other person sold it with him. That leg swing tho.
OK so what about Kofi Kingston? A man who held victories over CM Punk and Randy Orton. He competed for the WWE title but was ruined because he botched an RKO
