if you want to keep the 4 lug but hate the oem "hub over rotor" you can actually swap them out for 96-99 acura cl hubs since they are a "rotor over hub" design, no modifications required ;)
I love your car and the reason I keep my CB7 forever is that it is a classic! I don't care what other people think about it. Most may not think of it as a classic but we all know that a good condition CB7 is so rare!
Subscribed because I have a 1991 Honda Accord LX, love my daily! Makes me realize you don’t need much to have fun, or like a fast car to have a great experience, I like the burgundy interior, trying to just make her nice and clean and have her ready for shows!
Bought a 90 cb7 and I agree with with everything we hate about the 90-93. Mines fully gutted due to all the original interior rotting apart, the ps, ac, cruise control, sound deadening, all removed by me. I love the dash compared to other Hondas, f legal swap which is fun to build, power windows for a classic Honda, and it's a sleeper compared to the crx, hatch, integra, etc. Never thought I would build a accord track car but my curb weight is around 2500 and all new poly bushings it should be fun on the turns. Install a clutch and chromoly flywheel, engine mods, and a h22 tranny and the cb7 accord becomes a fun daily. I wish my cb7 was as clean as yours.
But it will run till the tires fall off though . My first Honda was a 87 Accord and it had 354.000 and the clutch went out and it didn't make since to put a clutch in it with those miles but still ran like a champ . And my latest is the 92 EX with 136.000 no rust so far maybe alittle spot starting and your right I looked for a few years for one .
my current CB7 is burgundy and rusty at ther rear quarty a little bit and it has the much better looking grey interior. I've had that burgundy interior you have and its just not my personal favorite since any interior mods just will never be that color. currently my front rotors are from a 99 Acura CL, non captive and direct swap. 323,000 miles and not even a CEL light on the dash. I don't care if people "think" I'm poor, Bill Gates doesn't dress rich and would go unnoticed unless you knew him at sight. glad to see another CB7 owner on RU-vid. definitely would like to see more content from people like you and i
I'm sure the NSX will always be the most content you will bring, which is expected lol but I hope I'm subscribing to a channel that will get creative and be worthwhile
Chicks might not dig it, but I have had women complement the body style. Honda is an acquired taste usually from having owned one or knowing a friend that’s had one forever. Proud CB 7 owner for 20 years! Can’t wait for the baby blue antique plates then the chicks 🐥 will be mine!
Wow.. I've had many CB7S that sat dead on idle 750-800 and never changed that the whole time I owned it for 7 years and 1,450 rpm on cold idle. Yes thats how it really is I want to drive it. My CB9 got compliments a lot every time I'd take it into town
I'm not sure where you're looking but you have to research interchangeable parts also follow people on instagram and ask questions about where we get are parts
Just Visualize Honda Doing A Remake Of This Popular Car In The New Type of Metal.... Remake Them Just way They Was In The 90s No Rust Issues, 2 Top It Off They Could Offer Options On Parts, I Bet If They Did That They Would Make A Lot Of Guaranteed Sales And It'll Help Other Companies Bring Back Their Most Popular Car, Like Nissan Bring Back The 90s 240sx, It Would Be Awesome If Companies Do That. HEY THEY KNOW HOW POPULAR THEM CARS ARE.... New Metal And Paint, If Honda LOVES This Idea.... Just A Hook Up On 2 CB7s A EX Coupe And A 4Dr EX Ik I'm Dreaming But I'd Shit Myself If All That Happens And Walk Out And See 2 CB7s Waiting On Me To Drive Them, One Of My Personal Favorite Accord! 2 Me The Most Reliable Accord Ever Made
CAPTIVE rotors, not capacitive. I had no idea what you were talking about till you mentioned the rotor being attached to the bearing. That is a pretty clean CB, though. I have a 1993 Wagon LX factory 5 speed. It's white, the best color for these cars. I lucked out and got the blue interior, and it's in great shape. I added LED lights all the way around, and an android stereo with back up camera. I also installed aftermarket keyless entry, totally worth it.
I really want to design a set of adjustable control arms as well as spherical bearings and heim joints but dont think there is a market you me and like 5 other guys want it im still trying to design some for myself because poly bushings suck and squeak like a mother fucker and are not worth it brand new bushings is our choice or shit ass ebay adjustable rubber bushing crap red blue gold i wanna design a quality set tru hart makes the best i have seen so far
Yea the trunk gutter is always collecting pine needles and leaves , pain. Try pulling the front cowl and fender liners and cleaning the compost pit out. Wow I laughed when I saw how much was accumulating!
You forgot to mention the subpar fuel economy, you get 20 mpg/freeway at best with the stock engine. If you swap it , it gets even worse. You've a 4 cylinder car burning gas as a v8 pony, not worth it
Yeah agreed with everyone else, yo shit broke lol, my old one got 32 miles to gallon easily and It was a coupe, my new coupe; IDK yet but I can't see it making only 20 mpg.
Yeah people just joy ride that shit, or run errands with someone else's gas. When my dad got called to pick up his car they found, it was still running, it was left idling for hours..
