I was hauling 3 pallets of concrete and a zero turn mower, this 10 speed swap pulls great you really can’t tell anything is behind you and it sounds awesome too
I had my crew cab square body out today, 12 valve swapped with the 10 speed. Ran 1500 pounds of scrap out today, first load since swap, nothing huge but couldn't even tell she had any weight on her pulls like a dream
I pulled 16k a couple times it pulled like nothing was there I love my 10 speed swap, it’s even nicer not having to use the clutch to shift only to pull out it’s a lot easier to operate you also have a gear for all situations
Imagine if ford back then with their f250s featured an option for a 400 big block with a spicer 6 + 4, I bet there would've been HUGE competition between chevy and dodge at that point. Nowadays ford, chevy and dodge (along with a few others I suppose) are just now getting the memo that, "Maybe it's a good idea to put greyhound transmissions in our 2500/3500 model pickup trucks." And im just wondering, "Why tf didnt you guys do that in the first place?" lol Love this vid. I'm gonna probs do a roadranger 10 speed swap for my towing rig project.
The sound of this truck rolling through the gears is so relaxing. I slept so good in big rigs because the sound on the top bunk right near the exhaust was so clear. That turbo whistle, the smooth revs. I could fall asleep to this lol.
Thanks for the video. I’m looking for some info. Trying to use a 10 speed roadranger in my 5.9 Cummins swap. 1969 international Loadstar. Can you give me any info on transmission model number, bell housing, clutch, flywheel you used? My understanding is I need a RTO for .73 final gear for my rear axle ratio to work out. Thanks
Eaton Fuller RTO6610 transmission and probably around 350hp and 550 torque I built a 6.2 Cummins stroker motor but haven’t put it in yet it’s supposed to have 600hp and 1300ftlbs of torque
@@tjboggs3710 can the RTO6610 handle that kind of power? I'm building a compound turbo 24V p pump 6.1 for my truck and have considered a 10 speed transmission. Leaning towards the Spicer TX-14607B 7 speed for it stock rating of 1400 ft. #'s and not having to use air lines. Looking to get a low rpm torque range between 1600-2200 rpms. With my gearing and tire size I should have a 66mph cruise at 1900 rpms. 445/50R22.5 (40's), Spicer S130 with air bags 40K# gcvwr rating with 4.56, The Spicer TX-14607b with 9.24 low and 0.75 OD. Putting modern comfort and reliability into my 67 C60 to put to work in Hot Shot.
Dude an Eaton 10 speed is an industrial/commercial gearbox, they're rated to handle 2050 lb.ft of torque lol as long as you know how to shift right you'll blow your engine before you hurt the gearbox and in reality I know truck drivers who modded their trucks to put out more than 2050 torque and haven't had a problem with an Eaton box
@@js6729 transmissions have different specs and ratings. The RTO6610 factory rating says 600#ft which is most likely 900-1000 #ft with today's clutch technology. Biggest engines an RTO6610 was behind was the 6CT and 3208.
Ive been watchin these vids for years now, ur videos on the modded hy35 is when i decided i needed to build a turbo for my truck, 2nd cummins truck later ive ended up with a combination of what ur turbos uve built are. I went with a He351cw, 60/67/9 with 10 blade turbine wheel, 5+5 compressor wheel and t51R mod. This was the results 😂😂 ru-vid.comL1U4iVWWa3I?si=ktjLTvdJq48VkgfV
