There are many times someone made a bad impression with me but then I got to know them and changed my mind.

This is what happens when you over analyze. Causing confusion and not being yourself.

You cant judge someone by first impression because who knows about what they are actually about.

The best relationships sometimes come from the most awkward first impression. Who else recognizes this?

The most annoying is judging people you nothing about after just meeting them. Talk about self absorbed.

The takeaway I get from this (besides more reasons to do be careful about what is mentioned in the video) is that I'm a lot less judgemental than most people seem to be. There's really only so much you can learn about people from a first impression. Friends in need do not have it written on their faces, neither do dangerous criminals most of the time. But yeah, I should sort my life out.

It really is extraordinary how much information we take in about another human being upon first meeting! A couple of these that were eye-opening for me, and made me go, "Oh, that totally makes sense but I never thought about it!" were: 1) looking sleep deprived and 2) having bad teeth! I have a really hard time looking past truly horrible, brown or yellow teeth. It makes the person seem instantly low-class and unintelligent. I am scheduling my next teeth whitening right now! Ha ha...

People are fickle. So the less you you have to deal with them, the better.

I'm just not really observing people that critically or with such judgement and intensity. Some things on this list do bug me though. Having nothing to say is one and having a sense of humor is essential

This list is helpful in reminding me that many of us are still very shallow in our appreciation of other human beings and what their situation is at the moment Apparently, most of us could use a course in understanding narcissistic behavior and its isolating effect. Honestly, many of these points struck home for me in either the role of being the newcomer or the one judging the newcomer. I don't like these types who constantly interrupt and/or dismiss what I am saying, walk away in the middle of a sentence. I avoid these people as much as possible when it happens & I make NO effort to connect with them again. Also, those types who share too much too soon regarding health problems, mental health issues, medications they are on etc. I get so annoyed I want to run away!

You never judge a book by its cover. Depending on where or when the first impression is can change things. It could be just a chance meeting. That does not mean they are that way. If you have a chance meeting with someone take it that way. You do not know what they are going through when you meet them. A few days or a week can make a difference. Sometimes when a person goes through things they can be different. Use your instincts. If they seen like they may be okay give them a chance. If it feels wrong it may be wrong. People are still people. Things change from day to day. If you meet someone today do not assume anything. Next week they may be more themselves.. Some of this is not making sense. Use your common sense and trust yourself. I have found out that some people are fine if given a chance. What they have been through in life can make a big difference. If they have not had the best deck of cards handed to them the first impression could be so wrong. You can meet the most interesting people just being in the right place at the right time. I have learned to trust my instincts and not first impressions. I have usually been more right then wrong

I do have trouble sleeping, and I can't help it! So it's not on purpose, if I look very tired.

Public service message (based on what's been said in the first 30 minutes of this video. A lasting impression usually comes from genuine encounter. Anytime you're dealing with a mature and respectable person there is no need to leave a thing. Whether it is money, your ideas, an impression or your contact information. As you're bound to be remembered for everything genuine (as in speaks volumes about you at all times) Plus, people pick and choose who they "impress", which basically confirms that you're getting an act.......and once said act is no longer needed, you no longer will be impressed.

I don't care what people think of me. I don't try to impress anyone, I am myself . Just remember if people don't like you for who you are that's there problem not yours.

Good enough for first impressions... Rule 19 says bag rules 1 thru 18.... Some folk dont present well but are worth more digging. Impressions can be temporary, and sometimes we blow it..

It's good example not to trust RU-vid videos a 100% ,for example when you meet a girl and during conversation she constantly plays, touches her hair it's actually very good sign (means she is interested, intrigued by you) and hand in the pocket not always bad signals, depending on situation and how someone does it ,what kind of people are around or person! From my own experience I can say ,never every trust what you hear or see on RU-vid, take everything to practice,test and experience your own life! If it is dating advice ,relationship with family or friends or anything it can be JUST DO whatever your inner voice(guidance) "never disregard it" will tell you !!! I used to care WHAT I looked like and I did EVERYTHING this guy has said so far (and I am only 2 minutes into this video)!! I used to shave EVERY morning, brush my teeth, wear decent clothes, took an hour to shower, shave and "freshen up"!! And I would spend serious coin on quality clothing and cologne even my sneakers cost more than what some folks spend on a meal!!! And do you KNOW where all of that got me?????????????????? Answer: Nowhere!!! In the end it didn't matter I was wearing $60 Reeboks, or $60 Polo cologne, nobody gave a shit that I was clean shaven, freshly showered, or looked like I had just walked out of the "specialty shops" at the mall (which back then was "important")!!! Nobody cared that I had a NEW CAR or a decent apartment and certainly NOT my employers or the women I was trying to date, and then a few years back (1988) I met a woman who didn't give a shit either!! In fact she so "didn't care" that she married me, then made my life a living hell, VERY LITERALLY!! And I had tried my best to attract women, be a "good employee", and I wasted my life, my money and my time trying to impress EVERYBODY from my employers to my wife, even my own family, and ALL I GOT in return was shit on!! THEN in 1998 I was fed up......I started doing WHAT I WANT, WHEN I WANT and I would do it HOW I WANTED TOO!!! Because apparently NOBODY cared what I did, said or even thought and it was more than obvious to me that no matter what I did to be "accepted" that was never going to happen either by people!!! So by 2001 I just gave up!!!!!!!! The moral to my story is this, be yourself!! DO NOT dress to make people like you, DO NOT try your hardest to impress people who will NEVER care about you or accept you ANYHOW!!!! And you will quickly realize just how many "empty shells" (people who are totally fake around you) that will lie to you, disrespect you, and will never be trustworthy towards you!!! You can ALWAYS be on time, dress like a rock star, and throw away money and time trying to "impress people" and nobody will care about what you think or how you feel anyhow!!! Today I don't give a shit about what I look like, and I certainly DO NOT CARE what people think of me!!!! I speak my mind and I am true and genuine to my convictions!! Be YOURSELF!!! Even if that means being cold, bitter and rude at times!!! Well, if it's not about a relationship and when I fall into a conversation with someone for the first time, I notice a few important things in that person apart from his/her body language or appearance. First, and the most important of all, I notice if they are humiliating someone either directly or indirectly to show off their significance. That's the first thing I keep in mind while meeting someone for the first time. And unfortunately, I've met many of such people. And it forces me not to let them in to my personal life because they don't seem trustworthy. In the second place, I notice if they exaggerate themselves for no reason. Sometimes, they show off their relatives and the amount of wealth/support they have and a lot of people are after them. This kind of statement really shows their insecurity that they are heavily bent on gaining significance. Well, there's nothing wrong in saying good things about you but when it's said intentionally to demean/humiliate someone, it's easily noticeable. I also do take care of these things from my side too while meeting someone for the first time and your video made it even much better.👍👌

The main thing I've learned in life is to look at the heart and the character of a person not the way how they look or how they dress because a person can dress fly look like a million bucks and can be a complete idiot with a very bad attitude that's why I say I look at your heart and your character and how you treat me I don't care about nothing else because I have met people that look like punk rockers bikers lumberjacks and hippies and they were some of the coolest people I ever met down-to-earth laid-back honest but one thing I do agree on is the teeth messed up teeth do turns people away trust me my mouth was messed up a while back but thank God I got my stuff fixed and I noticed a big difference now I can't stop smiling from ear-to-ear 😁😁😁😁. And most people love me because I don't try too hard to impress people I just be me even though I dress like a lumberjack and like Logan I'm laid-back down-to-earth very good sense of humor keep it real I mind my own business I don't bother nobody nobody bothers me I don't take no s*** for No One that's why most people respect me even some people who don't like me give me total respect.

I tried to do my best and show the best part of myself but nothing worked. And I started seeking for medical help since my first day in the country, but I think they thought, I wanted their belongings in the country, until I got bored and began to miss my country I was coming from and so they involved me in a game of shame of which I don't know even the sack of, but they really played me hard. I rarely missed to give a first good Impression like this and I missed my years of studies just because of that. It hit my heart so bad until today.

Many of these ideas are simply being respectful to others and not trying to put over on someone. The person who says they don't care what others think of them is immature and selfish. This is a very good video to help those who are having problems with relationships.

I find neglecting appearance is a big one, even if no one admits it everyone judges books by the covers. Speaking of teeth, I remember when I was in Japan I was shocked at how bad peoples teeth were, it was like crooked teeth was a trend there. I find that many guys put one hand in their pocket though

Being late, paying more attention to your phone, too much colone or perfume and being arrogant. I don't judge people's appearance by their teeth or hair unless it is obvious neither is brushed.

While these things are important, we shouldn't stress about them before any social interaction. It's far more important to be a decent human being and that isn't that hard. Also need to understand that we can't please everyone.

Just be careful to be the true you during the first impression or you will end up with a lot of delayed rejection. You ask how I know. I am able to do great first impressions but they leave me with the worst dissatisfaction and those relationships eventually crash.

What i look for or notice that makes a negative first and lasting impreession: 1. Not paying attention to speakers/presenters ie. On their cell phone, being chatty, 2. Always taking and posting selfies/self photos on mundane activities in social media (sign of narcissism and self centered vanity or egotism/superficiality), 3. Not being fluent and articulate in oral and written english (shows lack of basic educational reqs), 4. Often Being late (really bad), 5. Not following signs, rules/instructions, 6. Being loud and can't modulate voice, 7. Littering/spitting/leaving gum, 8. Lack of basic personal hygiene, 9.Dirty place /home/unkept home and yard, 10. Fidgety, tapping, 11. Not having plants in their place/home,12. Pets are neglected, 13. Nothing to say , cant engage in deeper conversations on various topics

You can put your hands into your pocket or cross your arms or legs, if u are confident doing that and if the other person sees uts just a part of your character( ,maybe youre a laidback person or so) then in my opinion there is no problem, the problem comes when it seems unnatural or as if it comes from anxiety
