Highlights of the #19 Razorbacks tough 31-24 win over the #23 Bearcats in the 2022 season-opener. It was the first ever meeting between the two schools.
That sounded so impressive on paper, and then you see the footage and Cincy's defense is an absolute joke. They are slow and soft, put zero effort into tackling to the point where you wonder why the Hogs only won by 7.
We would've been dying for a win like this only a few years ago! Great way to start the season with a win over a ranked team. I'm loving the potential of this squad!
Gotta take it 1 week at a time, win and improve. This is gonna be a fun season to watch. Also Trey Knox is the receiving tight end that this offense needed, he’s gonna be a constant mismatch. WPS
This was Cincinnati's first regular season loss in 1001 days. This is a great program with a great coach. The fact we were the first to score and maintained a lead the entire game is very encouraging.
@@nickcox7431 yeah and got smacked around like nobody’s business that’s why they shouldn’t have been in it in the first place they don’t play good competition but once in a blue moon
The spin move number 14 did to get the big sack and fumble at 11:25 was phenomenal. That was a huge play. We have a few things to improve on, but I have no complaints. To come out and beat a good team like Cincy our first game is awesome.
@@Gizziiusa yes. You are missing the rules. First contact ended forward progress at the 2 yard line and he was taken back into the endzone. Down at the 2 if he had broken that tackle and then someone else got him in the endzone, then it would have been a safety
Thank You War Machine for the highlights...started out a little blurry but the fact that you showed Arkansas keeping the ball the last 5:49 WAS a highlight!!! That is hard to do in any game!!! Great Job once again!!
I was there. Yes our secondary didn't play its best game but it's game one. All in all it was an awesome game, and we will improve. You guys are quick to forget a couple of years ago, this should be celebrated.
Trey Knox is going to go down as one of the most underrated Arkansas football players. Incredible how he has stuck around and fully accepted his TE role. Might even mess around and win the Mackey award.
I appreciate and look forward to watching your videos - you do a GREAT job!!! I was at the game and really enjoyed everything that entails from experiencing the camaraderie with other HOG fans to watching everyone strut with all of their HOG apparel…always an experience!!! We have some work to do but nothing Coach can’t figure out & correct!!! So proud of our team and proud to be an ARKANSAS RAZORBACK… GO HOGS GO ❤️🐗❤️
Hey War, Pay attention to Arkansas RB Rashod Dubinion. It's easy to see that he's going to be special. He looks and moves like a young Marshall Faulk. 👀
Thanks for the game highlights. Glad we won, even ugly, a win is a win. Surprised me that Arkansas was able to run the last 5 minutes off the clock without having to punt. Coach Pittman got us going the right direction. A few years ago we easily lose this same game by 20 points. Razorbacks have much work to do for the SEC opener next Saturday. Hope we get all our injured players back with just minor bumps and bruises. Go Hog's!!!!
Thank you for all you hog do! I was nervous about this game and it was as close as I thought. The offense answered when they scored and the defense did just enough. Thanks for help from the Cincy offense which sort of imploded in the second half when it mattered.
Hey I knew this would be a tough game . They were just well as we were . We made less mistake than they did . Second half things were rolling between both teams right to the end . Had the game at their place just maybe they could have but I still think we were the better team
I had to reprocess the vid this morning because MovieMaker is stupid so I think it got accidentally deleted then. I was also delirious when I made it at 2 AM lol
Thank you for this. I live in Washington state can’t always watch the games. Born in Camden ark, always a hog fan. I also have a podcast called. Chit & Chat: encouraging one another my guest this Wednesday is a former quarterback back for the Hogs. Stop by and give it a listen
Cincinnati could have won this game. I give them credit. They did not just play in a major bowl last year. They were in the PLAYOFFS. But as Hog fans we won’t know how significant the win was or not for a while. What we do know, is Cincy has gifted the Hogs in showing them what needs to be corrected in their game. Our coaches are on it.
cincy was holding all game long we could see it plain as day from section 102. also that short fat guy they had in the middle on their dline was getting push all day long vs our line.we actually had guys wide open down field all game but KJ was getting flushed to often because of that big guy disrupting the protection. lot of people were upset with the playcalling on both sides of the ball. overall i thought both teams looked a bit sloppy on offense. we couldn't get the ball deep due to protection break down and KJ scrambling, and they could get enough protection but their qb was rattled and kept over throwing guys who were wide open deep. truthfully both teams had guys wide open deep all second half. the first half we did a good job of shutting the down. you could tell their strategy was to throw to the side of the field where catalon was not at lol. speaking of catalon, i didn't see what happened, just noticed he was gone and didn't come back. i did see what happened to slusher and it scared the shit out of me. from the time he went down he did not move at all for several minutes. hope both are ok
It was the first game. Relax. We have some kinks to work out. For Arkansas to open our season with a top 20 team like Cincy and get the win is phenomenal. Just a few short years ago, Cincy would have beaten us by 60. Some people are never happy. 🙄
@@Michael-jw6et There are some legitimate concerns, but I don't think anybody is being overly worried. If this was essentially this season's Rice game, then we'll be just fine. What I saw throughout that game gives me plenty of confidence, and it's going to be exciting to see how this coaching staff and players continue to get better each week. The injuries are my biggest concern at this point. It won't bode well for J-Cat's draft stock if he ends up having to miss games after going down in Week 1, especially after missing most of last season -- just makes him look injury prone. Overall though, we've clearly got considerable talent and depth this season, which will be crucial facing the toughest schedule in CFB for the third consecutive year. #WPS
Warmachine is the man. Thank you for posting this. I had to work and couldn't watch, live. It's good to see football back after a long, hot summer. Hogs D looks stout and physical as expected, but the O looked better than I expected. O line is big and quick. With KJ and Rocket we should be able to pound a lot of teams into submission. At 6'5" Knox will be a problem at tight end. We'll see in two weeks with Bama in Fayetteville. Should be a real dog fight. Go Hogs!
the defense looked worse than it was because our offense couldn't move the ball consistently. cincinatti lead top the entire game. defense looked great in the first half, there were a few busts but overall they held their own. we are not as bad as people thinks, we are actually pretty good again this year. the offense just has to move the ball and try and keep the defense off the field as much as we can. they can be a good defense but they can't be out there all game if you want to win vs the sec. that's my opinion.
A bit sloppy at times by both teams, but an old-school slugfest it was. Great win over a great, ranked team. Not many schools can say that right now. WPS
Seen alot of good in this game but also some stuff that needs worked on. I beleive we will only get better week to week. I have faith in the coaches and our players. Secondary will be okay when 3 starters come back. We will be okay.
My thoughts exactly -- the positives far outweigh the negatives with this team, and that much is extremely evident after that first big test. It'll be intriguing to see how the Hogs come out for their SEC opener next Saturday! Very good matchup with a solid SEC East opponent.
I don't think South Carolina's offensive line is as good as Cincinnati's was so even if we don't get all the starters back we should be able to get more pressure on Spencer rattler than we did on the Cincinnati quarterback most of the day with a few exceptions.
@@oldschoolrockmetal1631 I agree -- I think we'll see a pretty smooth transition from playing to Cincinnati to South Carolina, especially considering the Bearcat's speed and soundness fundamentally. Cincinnati is no joke. VERY good football team.
I have to give it to the Bearcats, they *absolutely* made us earned this W, hope they can get that helmet thing fixed because it got past the point of funny and just plain stupid
hogs need a lot of work in their secondary .,i think my oldest granddaughter could of caught a ball against our secondary considering how wide open the bearcats receivers were just about all day ,hopefully our secondary will be better next week against s. c
Our DBs actually played fine -- and this is coming from a former high school DB at least. Our defensive pressure is what had their QB over throwing passes, and it definitely impacted their timing throughout the game. If you actually go back and watch the game film, our secondary put up a solid performance. Many of Cincinnati's big plays were well covered, but there was a close missed tackle or a good move by one of their extremely athletic wideouts. They most certainly have SEC speed on both sides of the ball, which is exactly why they were one of four CFP teams last year. When was the last time Arkansas had eight players drafted into the NFL??? Their obviously a VERY well coached program, and this win was absolutely HUGE -- especially given the first game jitters that tend to happen in Week 1. Think about it this way.... If this game was akin to last year's Rice game, then it should be exciting to see how they progress moving forward. #WPS
Ugly win but a win is a win. The secondary needs a lot of attention. If they can fix that they will be just fine. Kj needs to settle down but it was the first game so I don't think that will continue. Go Hogs!!!
Wasn't the ugliest win, by any means, and honestly I expected it to be as competitive as it was. Cincinnati is just as well coached and fundamentally sound as we are, despite their issues keeping the helmets on, and they certainly have SEC caliber speed across the board. Considering the fact that they had a seasoned O-line, it definitely speaks volumes about our front seven. It's going to be exciting to see how this Razorback team progresses moving forward. #WPS
1:03 --- LOL, Jalen Catalon found out what???? Is it really any wonder why Razorback fans continue to gripe about these terrible announcers? I'm not overly sensitive about who calls the games, but these guys were pretty bad throughout the whole game.
Secondary a big issue and could be detrimental if Catalon is out. I would hate to see us have to answer touchdowns every possession. First game against a legit program might not reflect much and hopefully Odom can scheme enough to keep us from giving up deep passes. We got lucky yesterday.
THIS CROWD WAS LOUD, that being said If I see a HAWGS fan sitting down and not yelling on a field goal attempt or key defensive play?? I assume they are new and embarrassed to get rowdy or they are a fan of the other team and hiding in a hog shirt...
As a South Carolina fan hearing all the hype about Arkansas, these highlights give me hope. Cincy just looks like a really soft team. Their defense cannot tackle and has no speed to the perimeter. Their kicker missed a field goal from extra point range. They recovered a fumble inside the Red Zone and then had multiple Procedure penalties to keep pushing them backwards until they just settled for a field goal. Their QB missed open WR's multiple times and underthrew them for completions other times (Spencer Rattler won't underthrow anyone!) All this and Arkansas only wins by a touchdown? This Cincy team is NOT good. We'll learn a LOT more about The Gamecocks and The Hogs when they face each other.
