Never, ever tire of legendary Dick Enberg & Merlin Olsen voices and how they called games, for yearsss on end, at such a high level. MISS them ~ CLASS acts!
@@littlebud9999 YOU BET my friend!!! It's "circle the wagons" & SAVE our great game😎☝🏈🌟 nowadays, ESPECIALLY after the egregious 🐂💩BS calls against Chiefs & Falcons last weekend ~ we somehow gotta keep the Goodell/ Jerry Jones crowd from ruining the NFL more than they already have!😭🏈 💔
These names, so many champions and HOF members. So many outsized personalities. What an era, even the announcers were phenomenal. Never will we have this again. Thank you.
Randy Gradishar #53 of the Denver Broncos Career Accomplishments Denver Broncos (1974-1983) 7x Pro Bowl selection 5x All Pro selection 1978 Defensive Player of the Year 20 interceptions 13 fumbles 4 touchdowns Never missed a game Widely considered the best short yardage linebacker in NFL history. He has yet to be elected to the Hall of Fame. Chuck Knox... "Randy was a great linebacker, and he certainly belongs in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He was tough, smart, and played every down all out."
Cool to watch these old games. Would have been off the chain if the Oilers ran Double TEs, then mixed in some Wing T or Slot T and ran no huddle/hurry up. “Oh My!”
I was born and raised in California but I always like the Oilers as a kid. When the city of Houston got another NFL team they should have named them the Oilers again and not the Texans.
Considering the amount of injuries the Broncos had, instability at the QB position and an extremely tough schedule, the fact that Red Miller was still able to squeeze out an 8-8 record, is a testament to his coaching. I think he should've been given an extra year but I guess the new owner, Edgar Kaiser, wanted his own man, Dan Reeves, in there instead.
I'm a firm believer in John Ralston. HE built that team and never gets credit. BUT I was very happy to hear Tom Jackson recently state that they were wrong for getting him ousted.
How is the Roaches called back TD not in the top 10 blown calls of all time? I went back and watched it several times, and there is no whistle I can hear. The Broncos never stopped running. Not one player acted like there was a whistle. That was the worst call ever. I've never seen such a bullshit call in my life.
Broncos had one of the hardest schedules in the league. They had numerous injuries throughout the roster. Matt Robinson, who was supposed to replace Morton, was a failure. Despite all this, Red Miller still managed to coach them to an 8-8 record, barely missing the playoffs. I think Red should've been given another year under the new ownership who bought the Broncos after the 1980 season.
@@shanetrimble9265 : I'm surprised he didn't get with another team. Winning record, Superbowl appearance, relatively young. Besides the USFL stint, he vanished from pro-football.
wwoooww....dumbest call of all time. ~1:29:00 next to a hs game lowell vs harrisburg, or. lowell heavy underdog stuck w/ them til lowell clearly intercepted in end zone.. refs held off whistle; allowing dogpile. defender still came up with the sole possession...and ref's signaled TD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pastorini didn't lead the Raiders to 2 Super Bowls. That was Jim Plunkett. Pastorini was already out of the game by the time the Raiders won after the '83 season. You honestly have no idea what you're talking about.
@@moorlivingprosper3341 He was referring to the fact that by trading away Dan Pastorini for an damaged Stabler that the Oilers were doomed in the long run. Plus Kenny King was part of the trade. He was an Oiler and then went to Oakland to help them to the 1980 Super Bowl. Plus draft picks that Houston gave to Oakland landed then Howie Long. Bum Phillips was a terrible GM.
