you explain it very well, basic and simple. Yot taught me how to crank an automatic by your self ( i never knew that that is very cool))), to check spark, ect. i have a Vortech but unfortunately i have 5 sp. manual, i love it for ice and snow ect., but i need another set of hands and feet to start it. Thank you for bringing me back to basics, if no fuel and no spark then make sure not ign. control module or a sensor blocking signal to ignition coil or a short in ignition wiring is what i am guessing, if all that is good then its the timing chain or something with the timing either chain or distributor. i'm at the part were you are cranking the truck over with the fuse relay panel under the hood, i love this trick thank you for showing this. Lol my name is Lori
First, I wish you all the best in your channel Secondly, when inquiring about the 1997 GMC 454 Vortec engine, it is difficult to start the car, and the engine is cold or hot, and it does not start until after I press the gas pedal to the other with continuous operation, then it starts, and black smoke appears from the exhaust, then the engine starts to be regular, and yet there is a smell at the exhaust that the fuel does not burn So I want you to explain to me what the problem is, my friend
Hello, thank you for posting your question. What you described makes me believe that your fuel pressure regulator is the problem. Keep me posted and God bless you 🙏
I had this changed the ignition control module still didn't go and it ended up being the ignition coil not giving it enough spark to fire it up. Still had spark but it was a weak spark.
@@gqautodiagnostics I know what the ECM is, what is that thing that looks like a spark plug with a bulb that lights up so you know you're getting fire?
