This video explains a very simple stepping exercise that helps develop balance and rooting into one leg at a time. This is the first balance exercise I teach to new Tai Chi practitioners.

Your comprehensive explanations are great, but more importantly, they are down to earth and very understandable! Many instructors are filled with a lot of psychobabble, that is not helpful. My compliments to you, on your way of teaching!

this is incredibly helpful i have done tai chi quan for 2 years now and know the yang 24 form and almost all of 42 form and i find the first opening step to be still difficult to master! It's like my feet aren't even touching the ground...
