@@omarshdalvizo mostly oils because since the hair is long gel would be weird since it would make the hair hard. But if I put it in a bun it would have gel to hide the fly aways. After a shower I would comb it and tie it up in a bun.
AHHH I can relate so much Im about to hit 2 years as well and I been really thinking about cutting it then. For me it was more of "what is it like to have long hair" I get a lot of compliments on it but its like a love hate relationship and I kind of miss myself with short hair. Its nice to have it documented that I did have long hair. I think the hair cut is coming soon.
Argon oil and Castor oil are the only products I used. That with a boar bristle brush is all you will need. Comb it wet, NEVER dry or you'll make an afro lmao.
Dude I have not cut my hair for 6 months, when my hair is wet it does not look so bad, it is acceptable. The problem is when it dries, since I have quite curly hair, although it really is long, the curls make it look less than half of what it really is, and I don't know how to make the hair fall out and not stay up tangled. Any advice?
Stephen, you are handsome with or without hair and that barber gave you a good haircut. BUT, I loved your long hair...will you grow it back? Why did you cut it?
Thank you so much! What you see in the pics is nice long hair. What you don't see is the time it takes to make your hair look neat and not homeless looking, as well as the daily inconveniences of it gettin in the way of everything especially the gym. I will probably never grow it out again but i am sure as hell I went through this journey so I can say I did it.
ok...I understand. If you're not going to have it long, though, why bother with it? When I got my long hair cut, I buzzed it to the skin and choose to live without it. It is far better than those in-between "styles." @@stephenchimenti
@@rjcarter2904 I understand you too, I was thinking of doing that as well. I feel that is too drastic though. Like super long hair is drastic, and super short hair is drastic. In between styles is considered "normal" in society so now my hair kind of "blends in" with the rest if you get where I'm coming from.
Ha....yes, but I'm not keen on blending in with the masses. The other thing that is important to me is having a hairstyle that does not require hair products to hold it in place. I'm somewhat of an environmentalist and most hair products, wax matrix-based, clays, etc. pollute the water with micro-particles that are not well removed by waster processing. Anyway, I prefer the wash and wear hair--whether it's two feet long or shaved.@@stephenchimenti
Im really depressed from my hair, my curl type are like yours but i have this big afro whenever it dries after shower, im growing my hair out at month 6
Bro, I'm telling you right now, I know how you feel. It looks like a giant ass afro but preserver through it. Curly hair takes A Long TIME to grow. Trust me, I'm at the stage where I look like I have Ana fro.
Make sure there is product in it at all times. Immediately after the shower comb it, apply some oil, and wear a hat or tie it up in a bun or something. Letting the hair dry naturally after a shower will without a doubt cause an afro to form. I would keep my hair in a bun as much as possible to avoid that issues to be honest.
I respect your decisions but man that long hair fit you better and if you kept it growing would have been better but again it is your hair so I can’t say anything. Btw I have similar hair type I am in the process of growing it out and it is pretty long now. Love the vid tho
Thanks man. After a while the long hair just gets old and you get tired of looking like a girl lmao. Such a fun journey have no regrets. Did it for the memories.
