As a bro myself, I find my body feeling new kinds of pain I never new I needed lol. All jokes aside, these exercises kicked my ass and I feel 100x better now. Going to start incorporating some sort of yoga stretches once a day.
Stretching is an important area of fitness mobility is something we need to work on for our later years, I'm an ex-dancer and I still stretch every day to keep the flexibility I gained from my dance training days, but for people who don't dance stretching is great for the body and you feel so light afterwards 30 minutes a day is all you need to dedicate my students have improved a lot doing my stretch exercises
I am not even being dramatic when I say this routine is life changing. I do weight lifting and feel like my legs are never not sore; they constantly hurt. I am constantly stretching, but this routine is so much more effective than anything I could come up with on my own.

I'm not even 20, yet I can barely touch my toes. Online school requires us to sit for hours during class, then sit for hours completing homework assignments, which has only contributed to my inflexibility. Thank you so much for taking the time to share this with us and for all that you do! It has helped me lots!
i mean in normal school u wasnt exactly laying down, were you? i mean the fact that u have to stit up the entire day is one of the only thinks you cant really complain about regarding onlineschool since it was the exact same before...
That’s pretty much the adult world too. Nothing is conducive to health, yet health is the most important thing. If you don’t have your house, you have nothing.
Your stretching workouts are the BEST I've ever tried! I love that you're so thorough and really spend time giving every little inch a proper stretch! I felt so relaxed after finishing this :)
RU-vid is great! Putting a stretching progression like this on my tv in my living room is way better than trying to work through one in a book. It was so lame to have to keep the book open and figure out what the diagram was trying to convey. Now there's verbal coaching! I know I sound like an 80 year old that just discovered the internet, but I'm just amazed every day about how our technologies are helping people.
Its obviously lots of practice but apparently its also partially genetic? I had a dancer friend once tell me that I have naturally open hips because I can just do this kind of stretch, so what I'm saying is, don't be discouraged, you can definitely get there but don't be too hard on yourself, some people don't realize that this may not be as easy for others because they were born being able to do this
@@ghostofparfit3750 Would you really say at all though? I am really not all that practiced, definitely a lot less than some people I know who cant do it, so it being partially genetic or just based on how your body is built is the only thing I can think of to explain that
When I got to the crow stretches I could see how extremely inflexible my left side was compared to my right....I’m so glad I’ve decided to do yoga. Might be a couple years too late, but better late than never!
Did this right after your abs and booty workout and the fact that this felt like a workout in it's self, tells me i need to be doing this daily. Thanks a lot! 👍
Love how you say where exactly we should feel the stretch, that helps me make sure I die things correctly and feel them the way it should be felt. Thank you
Been needing this! My hips and legs have been so tight that it’s actually causing pain in my tailbone. Considering doing this as a challenge for 30 days straight to improve my tailbone pain and flexibility
i can't believe week 3 of the december calendar is already done! and two more to go! this calendar was like the perfect Christmas gift from maddie to us
This is honestly so amazing! I am so glad I found you-you did ALL of the stretches I love doing in one video! Usually, I have to watch several videos to do different stretches that I like, but you put it all in one! I love this!
Great routine! I will try to do it every day. Thanks to you i finally got the right stretch in the pigeon pose. I finally understand what "hip opener" means. Also thank you for not putting a million ads in the middle of the routine like some other people...
Found this workout to be very good and totally hits the targeted areas! It's also very good for relaxing and meditation, I was really supple and felt like having done yoga as well. I loved it a lot Maddie xxxxxxx😍😍❤❤❤❤❤
I loved this. I'd love a 40 minute one for the whole body. It reminds me of my dancer days - some of my favourite stretches that rarely come up in at-home videos! Thank you Maddie!
It’s like you can read my mind! Definitely needed this today more than ever. I used to dance in high school and it feels soooo to have a deep long stretch!
Happy New Year 2023! I must be one of the few who has risen at this time of day to join in with this exercise but I hope to keep it up as a New Year's Resolution!
I'm a huge HUGE fan of your stretches rutines! I started not going further than half my thights and now I'm almost touching my feet! I wish you had even more LOOONG stretches rutines, they have helped a lot with my anxiety and have given a lot of confidence in myself! so please please PLEASE more long full body stretches rutines!
This was exactly what I was looking for!!! I've been feeling some tightness at the back of my glutes and knee for quite a while now and this stretch is just what I needed! Thank you!!! f you wouldn't mind making a stretch video catered for the back I would really appreciate it cause sometimes I feel a backache whenever I do some lower body workouts and stretches. Thanks you're the best!!!
This morning stretch is the perfect combination of a warm up/stretch! I’m 50 and getting back to getting fit after Covid and life just getting too overwhelming. Thanks Maddie!
This is a super 20-minute stretch routine. I sometimes suffer from tight hamstrings, as I play a lot of sport. Great to put a video out there for people to follow along to, as so many suffer from a lack of flexibility. This is really helpful for everyone. Great job, Maddie. Carlos & Bex x
Thank you! More please 🙂 There are not enough "follow along" stretching routines videos on youtube. They usually go through them really fast and tell you to pause the video and hold each for 30seconds. Like whhhhaaa? I don't want to pause and unpause 18 times! Plus they tend not to have any music. I'd love to have a whole set of "stretch along" videos like this. Great music!
I was having really bad hip pain for the past week and none of the stretches I was finding would help, but after doing this routine i don’t have pain! Thank you! 😍❤️❤️❤️
I almost cried tears of joy and relief when I saw this!!! Really needed this 😭 so amazed how you always seem to know what we need, Maddie!! Thank you so much 😭💖
This is exactly the stretching video I needed. It’s not too intensive and I m so so relaxed.now. I like the quiet moments holding the stretches. I was back at the gym in the fall and injured my shoulder lifting too much weight. These videos are the right place for me to start back . Thank you !!
How have I never discovered you before? Thank you, thank you, thank you. You are truly inspirational. You explain things perfectly and in a way so I get more benefit from the movement than ever before. I did this today and cried. You have helped me more than you'll ever know ❤ I am so pysched to do more of your sessions...you will become part of my daily routine ❤
As an injured runner looking for ways to recover/stay in shape, this was perfect! More flexibility/low impact strength training/recovery for lower body vids plz!!
with straight legs and micro bend in ur knees u can do a lot w forward folds if you have really tight hamstrings. eg hands and forhead on kitchen countertop and bellybutton pressing to the floor o achieve a straight back as you wait for the kettle to boil or alike:)
ive done a lot of leg stretches from youtube videos but this really hits the mark, it's perfect for a sore post leg workout day and lifted all the tightness off my legs. so good!
I’m in the same boat as you. I find stretching so hard and i’m so tight. After working out for yours and never stretching properly i’m really feeling it. Now making my workouts shorter so I have time for a longer stretch.
This is the best, I use it all the time to help recover from skiing and mountain biking! Would love to see a video that targets most of the same lower body muscles and maybe adds a couple upper body stretches as well, like a 30 min video or so! I also love the movement within the stretches, helps for people who don't like to sit still:)
I don’t workout but do cheerleading and annoyingly have very tight hamstrings, I have been looking for a good video to help for a while and this one seems to be working! 🤞🏻
Such a good session. I go ski touring a lot and got pretty bad back pain from tense lower body muscles. Your routine helped me get rid of all the pain and it feels great overall! Thanks!
Hi! 👋🏾 really great video. I’ve been doing this after my leg day sessions and have noticed I’m much less sore the day after. I would love it if made a video focusing on arms/upper body and maybe back? Thanks again for the awesome stretch routine!
This ia great before or after lower body and legs exercises. As a man we are not as naturally flexible in the legs and hips especially as I am 6"3" so stretching helps me in many ways. I enjoy following as many of your videos as possible.
I have been practicing Muay Thai for the last 2,3 years and had trouble with flexibility so I started stretching to get my flex up. Of all the people that I have watched, Madfit is the BEST one, her routine is variable so you dont feel like doing the same thing all over again, also she breaks everything down for you not just like "next we are doing the pigeon pose" without explaining how it is supposed to feel or look like. Most important, it really works best compare to other channels. My kicks not only get higher but that flex from doing these stretches provide more mobility to my hip, which means I could rotate my hips even more to generate more power.
I’ve been missing out on these destress videos. I feel so much better doing these on rest days. I love the dance routines for a great workout and these are perfect for a well rounded mind to center and reset the body. Please keep making them, hope you are well and healthy.
Hi Maddie, would love to see more stretching videos, this is something that I neglect quite a bit even though I’m sure it would be beneficial (I’m a cyclist and runner and think my muscles are generally really tight). Some extra motivation to get into it more often would be amazing!
Love all of your stretch videos ! They are the best on RU-vid 💓! Is it possible to post more 15 minute stretching videos as well as some 30 minute ones ? I have done all of your stretching videos soooo many times I know them almost off by heart 😂! Also, can you make one focused on upper body ? Thank you so much for your workouts and stretches they have changed my body greatly 💓! So much appreciated !
Great recovery workout! After an intense legs workout after a long break over the holidays, my hammies were tighter than ever. I'm following your stretch routines DAILY while I recover. Yes, please continue to provide 15-20 minute stretching routines - I'm over 50 and need the recovery!!
Maddie, you are a Godsend! I really needed this, and will come back to it regular;y. I’ll look to see if you have one for upper body, too. That would be great. Thanks!
