This is my first time trying one of your videos. I’m 62 and have arthritis. I had a shoulder replacement in 2019 and have had four knee surgeries, along with several hand surgeries, muscle tension in my neck, back, and shoulders, and back pain. Most videos are just too hard for me to follow and not feel like I’m hurting my body. This one felt wonderful! The stretches were slow and steady, and even though a few muscles protested being stretched, my joints had no issues. I plan to do this one daily, and I’m looking forward to exploring more of your videos. Bless you for creating videos that those of us who are older and have joint issues can use for healing.

Did this practice again today after sitting at laptop most of the afternoon. With the first few stretches my back was more mobile. Amazing how quickly just a few stretches and releases can ease the pain. I struggle with the belly breathing but a great routine, I love it!

Knsey, when I do the hip rotations (clockwise & counter), I notice how very tight my stomach is (so tight in front, that my left knee seems to click when I do them). *I have had c-sections surgeries (2) an so I know the fascia is tight in the abdomen. -Can you recommend any qigong routine to help that area (including the psoas & quads) that can help? TY! Love how I feel, but even at the end of the entire video, I tried the hip rotations again, just to see if my stomach loosened up and it was still so tight that it tugs on my hips (most tightness in the lower abodmen). TY

I had spinal fusion a year ago. The pain and numbness in my leg is sometimes unbearable. My acupuncturist has recommended Qigong exercises for me. I found you will researching other exercises. I feel so much better. Using this with my yoga practice. thank you

Lovely routine ~my lower back which can easily go into spasm. All the moves felt very anchored and safe and my body felt very reassured by what I was asking it to do ~ if that makes sense. Thank you x

Hi Kseny, Just had a complete hip replacement into my 7th day after the operation so thought I would try this lower back session as prior to the operation I followed your sessions which did help significantly. This lower back and hip session has been a great help this evening and has released muscles that were beginning to feel quite tight so I'm back with you again! Hoping that in five weeks when I see the consultant he will be able to say Wow with the progress I have made through doing qigong. Thank you.

I am have trouble with keeping my tailbone pelvic in a good position , making my belly stick out. I don’t know why , but, I hindered with fear, bending my back, and my belly won't relax. Any thoughts.¿? I feel your getting somewhere good for me, but, do you have a tip to release the tension in my belly?

Hi Cindy, thanks for your comment. We can release a lot of muscle tension using our awareness and intention. Every time you practice, try to adjust your alignment until you feel a little relief. Being aware of the tension is the first step, we then can use the practice to relax. You are doing well! Keep it up!

Hello, when I bend my knees they're kind of shaking, I am overweight and suffer from anxiety and lower back pain when I sit (even if sitting in a good chair). Is the shaking okay ? It makes it hard to completely maintain the same position especially if I have to bend them for more than 5/10 seconds. I do feel better after the 20 minutes, I took a break in the middle and sat down. I'm gonna try this 20 minutes routine for like a week, can I expect some result in this amount of time ? Are my knees going to be a problem ? Thank you for your time.

I would try tow things. 1: avoid going to low into the squat, slightly bending your knees. 2. take breaks in between to relax while you are slowly building the strength in your lower body. In qigong it's important not to do harm and force anything. Keep up with the good work

I have been healing acute sciatica nerve pain as well as piriformis syndrome...I have tried so many remedies from yoga to exercise to walking and none of them have worked as well as this qi gong video. Hi Sonja, these exercises help to release stagnation and promote healthy circulation. I would check with your doctor to make sure you have nothing serious with your back, otherwise a daily full body qigong practice can help with symptoms like sore back and low energy. Hi, there intensity of the exercise should be less, soft, slow movements, and natural breathing pattern to promote relaxation and prepare for bed time.

Thank you SO MUCH for this video. I hurt my back, and am unable to take anti-inflammatories because of an anaphylactic reaction to them. This has been SUCH a blessing! It has brought me a great deal of pain relief. Whenever I am feeling tight and it's feeling painful, I do this series of stretches. I'm very grateful. Thank you!

Hi Greg, thank you. Qigong is often viewed as preventative care and used to facilitate the recovery. If you doctor approves the exercises, and you feel good doing them, i think they can be beneficial.

Hi again kseny! I just tried this for the first time and I feel incredible! -I have a very tight lower back, which often causes front psoas & quad tightness. I also have mid-back tightness (I think Quadratis laborum, but not entirely sure). I have written to you before from Canada & want to tell you, I think this one routine in the evening, might (hopefully) stop that feeling in my left leg as if there is a lack of blood flow/nerve impingment. I found doing the sit-down movement a bit challenging (but loved it), as my quads seem very, very tight. However, I still did it anyway (b/c it did not hurt-just fatigued them as they are very tight quads for years) and felt a bit of a release in my lower back with those gentle twists. I am 52 and have issues with C5/C6, C6/C7 and actually, the lower back & hips causes tightness in hip joints and glutes just as much as the upper neck/mid back. So, I am trying to say, that I truly hope this keeps working if I do this every evening. I do your back routine video and just love it! Thank you for all that you do. I feel that getting back into this, I am going to come out stronger, through gentleness (flexibility). XO, Mary

Hi Mary, thank you for taking the time to share. I'm sorry to hear that your body is not at ease and I hope that the exercises you do can help to change that and ease off some of the discomfort. I always recommend to practice within your comfort zone allowing the body to relax and feel safe, if you do feel that the range I'm showing is causing you pain or discomfort, listen to your body and limit your range and as you develop it will improve naturally. Aw, TY so much Kseny! :) And yes, I don’t push it and already, have a nice, flexible range with just two days of practice, in that semi-sitting pose & rotation. I just had a chiropractic treatment this evening with “The Activator”, particularly in the left lower back (where I get that twinge and pinched nerve feeling that goes into the glute and top left leg). However, my doctor said he saw an improvement from just a few days prior). :) Hue used this device on my upper shoulder/neck area again as well, but I am feeling so much better! :) I will for sure continue to do Qigong with you & some somatic exercise I have picked up for the psoas. TY so very much again, sweetie! :)

Fantastic routine thank you Kseny. My knees are a bit of a problem but by keeping it slow I manage ok.

I did it again My hip /back thanks you It helped my back a little , I was more relax a little, , but, my abdoman still won't relax, something with my breathing, pelivis, or...you guess Any thoughts or videos to suggest, i would humbly accept your response thank you, Kseny *your not responsible for me, thanks

Hi Cindy, thank you. Glad you are getting the benefits from the videos. Practice daily with the focus on relaxing the areas that are tense. It's important to listen to your body and allow it to soften. Qigong doesn't have to hard, the more you can relax the better the healing.

Still the abs. When i tell them to relax, my mind takes over and i don’t, but, i felt a bit releasing something in my pelvis back and using, my Hanna Somatics have helped some, thanks.

Absolutely wonderful!!! 👍🏻❤️ Thank you, so much! I’ve been doing Qi gong regularly for a little over a year. Trying different instructors and types....but your style has helped my chronic low back more in the last two weeks than others have in a year! 🥰 They’ve helped...I’m not putting them down...but your style is more effective & I think it’s because of some additions of tai chi movements? Anyway...thank you!!! 😘
