Thanks for the video. I've looked at Maytag washer videos but this one is the exact match of the sounds of Maytag washers I was looking for. Now to find the dryer.
Even if this Maytag is different from the Dependable Care series, it’s reminiscent of the 1997 Maytag Dependable Care washer I grew up with in the early to mid 2000’s with the dual action agitator. Never really got a chance to see it operate since the machine would stop whenever I tried to peak inside but once in awhile would catch the spin cycle on it. The Maytag A806 I have sounds exactly the same as the ‘97 DC I grew up with since they both share the same internal design (with the exception of the transmission) which dates back to 1966 (technically 1958 but 1966 was the last major redesign), even my 1973 Maytag A606 sounds the same as well when it enters into the spin cycle.
@@coolrobuxgaming I believe it’s plastic, but can’t really confirm since I’ve never used one of these machines, mainly the older Maytags from 1966 to 2006 which includes the Dependable Care series. This Maytag washer is apart of the Performa Series which had a larger capacity than the Maytag DC washers which was to complete against the larger capacity Whirlpool and GE machines around this time.

I agree with you there. Reminds me of when I was little. I don't know if it was this exact one as our house had been moved into in 2002 but it did definitely sound like this! I didn't like the sound then but do now. We will probably get a Maytag again.
@@amtc4ihs2005 If I do a full dryer cycle, you wouldn't see anything other than the dryer itself. You would only hear the sound of it. That's why I made the dryer part short. But I guess if people are watching dryer cycle videos. I'll make one some time later on as a request.

Yeah I should've enjoyed this washer more but I did not like the sound and would not think about it for a long time but now I just want to have it again not Samsung or Lg or even Roper. I'm going to be looking for very nostalgic toys and other things we had like this Maytag washer. I still have a few things from then, but will get more.
All Maytag automatic washers from the 1949/1950 AMP to the very last of the Dependable Care series washers in 2006 all did a spin drain. Reason why Maytag went about with the spin drain is it was simpler to build them that way and made them very reliable since there were no solenoids or clutches to make it spin and the “clutching” on a Maytag is nothing more than a slipping belt that allows everything to gradually start picking up speed as more and more of the water is drained out of the tub. The belts will wear out eventually but takes many years for that to happen and when it finally does happen all you have to do is remove the front panel, tilt the machine back, remove the old belts and install the new belts and that’s all there is to replacing the belts on any 1957 to 2006 Maytag automatic washer.
