This is a Great video with good information in it! I have a 2013 and this motor runs good with pretty good throttle response! Love what GM put out there with these vehicles, and theyre availability is great. Looking to rebuild mine as well, thanks for the video!
I have a 2012 Buick enclave I need to change the engine, I found some cheaper 2019-2021 enclave engine but for some reason it says not compatible but they look the same I had second thoughts on buying it until I saw your video . What do I need to do to use the newer model engine?
What you need to know. Is if the wiring harness is the same and the injectors and you may have to takeoff the sensors for the old motor and put on the new motor.
Having issues on the thermostat. Obviously there’s not a lot room. But how do I move that thicker wiring harness that sits on the tranny? And do I have to pop the car in neutral to spin over the motor for the flywheel bolts?
Leave the wire harness pull it up over the cowl. And you can leave it in park or neutral and use a flat head to push on the flywheel to turn it to get to each flywheel bolt.
For what. If it’s the same more but let’s say some sensors are different plugs but install. The same then take the old sensors off the old motor put on the new motor so the factory car harness still works
