This is by far one of the most thorough and intuitive automotive troubleshooting I’ve seen. You can work on my truck anytime. Thanks for the video. IMO changing the fuel pump by removing the bed is the easiest way to do it.
What ended up being the culprit, was it the tipm ( under side of fuse box integrated / fuel pump relay ? ) I have a 2013 that I can jump to be starter fuse to crank but no run. I'm curious if I can jump the other relays ; in the ignition acc and then the run relay to activate my not working " W I N " & RFH ? I'm I just saw your video and am aware it's dated over a year ago / LMK if you can answer my key fob question thx ( id send you $ but SSDi told me not to work during my six months wait
Ive got a 98 Dodge ram 1500 that's been siting for 4 years. I've got a crank no start condition. I don't see any spark coming off my inline spark checker checking it at the coil. I can hear the fuel pump run for the 3 seconds when key is turned to on position initially. I am NOT getting the tach needle movement when cranking the engine. Does that indicate a bad crank sensor then? I replaced the coil hoping for an easy fix, but that wasn't it.
Usually but with a 5.7 this is how they both happen at once. It needed a fuel pump cuz it was bad. And needed a camshaft sensor because it’s a hemi and it’s been a couple days since the last one. lol.
How did you end up fixing it? I also have the same exact issue but I have fuel pressure. Changed the sensors with Carquest brand and still nothing. I think I’m going to go to the dealership and buy them tomorrow and see if it makes any difference
I've got a 2004 ram 1500 5.7 hemi. Crank no start. Fuel pump kicks on but I have no spark. Changed cam and crank sensor no difference. Anyone have a idea what it could be.
