Typical CRF150R(B) issue. Spun camshaft and top end damage. What to look for. Complete overhaul of the bike including steering stem bearings, refreshed top end, new tires, carb overhaul and valve clearance adjustment.
Hands-down, the best diagnostic work I’ve ever seen on RU-vid!!! I would really like to see you do more diagnostic and fix work on new regeneration fuel injection, motocross, bike, or quad. I bet you get a ton of views!! Great job on all the builds
Thank you so much for your kind words. I generally pick up what’s available to me at a decent price near my area so unfortunately, I don’t get to pick and choose to often.
What a great video! I actually stumbled upon your channel back on your previous 150 build video and at the time I was rebuilding my own 150 that had blow up, because of exactly what you said, the famous spun cam. It dropped a valve and the crank snapped. I rebuilt it and its running great to this day. I actually touched up the frame also but with a duplicolor honda-grey that matched up perfectly with the original paint. Keep uploading these videos man you really are teaching us a lot. Your the man.
Fantastic refresh on the 150r!! Just a heads up that there are 2 versions of this bike, a small wheel and big wheel (150rb). On the small wheel version the fork tubes are meant to stick a few inches out of the top of the triple clamp and the rb is supposed to be flush. There are a few other differences like swingarm length, and obviously rim size between the two. These bikes are seriously peppy and fun!
It’s all good, I commented a few months ago , I got that XL200R finished, i was telling you about .it runs awesome, .now I need a seat cover and hopefully I find some new plastic. Anyway love the channel and great work. Sorry it took a minute to reply!! Hope all is good your way friend!!
Glad to hear you got your bike together. Aftermarket companies don’t generally carry plastics for those so good luck. As always, I appreciate you watching and your comments.
My boys and I love watching the channel!!!! So where do you post your project once finsihed and/or how does someone acquire a bike of yours once completed? Thanks in advance!
My 04’ kx250f has excessive oil pressure and is spitting out the crankcase vent, when I give throttle it dies. Any ideas to push me in the right direction when tearing it apart?
First off, what is your oil level like? These bikes will spit excess oil out the vent if overfilled. There are a lot of reasons a bike may stall when applying throttle but I would start with a complete carb rebuild including mid body gaskets. I have a video on FCR carb rebuilds.
need help, Honda crf 150 rb 2007 why is my coolant sitting on top of my piston does it mean I need to buy another 1 or should I torque it to spec? need help
Coolant getting into the combustion chamber is more than likely a failed head gasket. There are other possibilities like a damaged or warped head. You should pull the head off and check its mating surface according to the manual. If it’s good, replace the gasket and torque the head properly.
@@restoroosterohv okay thanks for the information, I've just receive my cylinder head. I purchased originally hem valves "stainless steel" should I lap them? or should I just insure them and go?
@@restoroosterohv okay. I lapped the valves … torque the bolts on cylinder head 10,15,23ft … I have spark and compression… gas is going through the carburetor… still no sign on start up … is there any way we can do a call or anything?
@wankkebtv I don’t give out my personal number, sorry. We can communicate through email restoroosterohv@gmail.com. Is your camshaft timing and valve clearances correct?
