2008 6.4 Powerstroke Repairing High Pressure Fuel Pump

Hey Bill thank you for watching. Recovery is just going day by day. I will not know until two weeks from today, I go for X ray and hopefully can start to put weight on it. Hopefully back to work part time by March. This has been awful.

OMG yes you are correct, I actually cannot believe the truck ran and had no issues that is the crazy thing. If you do not work on these you wouldn't be able to tell but with the high pressure fuel tubes connected the pump didn't really move at all so it was very hard to even discover this problem. Shortly after I finally figured this out a guy on Tik Tok had a 6 Liter Powerstroke with a high pressure oil problem and after almost taking a part the engine and putting it back together to have the same problem he found the high pressure oil pump bolts either loose or broken. The leak was from one of the low pressure fuel lines that broke from the vibration of the high pressure pump not being bolted down. Thank you

So why you remove all the hight fuel pump?
