May be a bit of a clumsy video but it's still the most clear and direct real life change on here!! Thank you for a REAL video and not a staged job..Best lighting to show it as well! I have to change out m roommate's 2009 Chrysler 300 and it will be the 2nd time! This time I won't let her fork out another $400 the shop charged last time!! I mean 4-6 bolts it's not rocket science!
I’m at the mechanic shop right now... they tried to say they need to take off my intake to remove the part.. I said no you don’t there is a bolt in back of the motor do I need to show you this vlog on RU-vid lol!! Long story short my intake never came off. THANK YOU!
Hey man I’m about to change mines as we speak , I greatly appreciate this even with not one word said through the whole video you can follow this step by step lol .
thank you so much....im here trying to figure out what parts are connected lol I took every bolt off.....even the 2 top air flow ones you kept on lol thanks a lot
Bout to replace it on my dad's car. Antifreeze puddled up in every nook and cranny. Big mess. Rockauto had the cheapest prices, $28 shipped to me, but need it asap. Oreilly for $45. Looks easy
One thing to keep in mind make sure your upper radiator hose is not touching your idler pully. Have at least 3/16" clearance. I just repaired one because of the original owner who did the work himself and admitted he was not a mechanic did not see this problem while repairing it.
lol,he didnt even check the o-ring around the pipe before installing the new outlet. it may be flattened out and dry from heat, which will down the road leak when it finally goes. inspect it to make sure the ring still has its round shape, not flattened. and clean the base where the new outlet mounts to engine of debris build-up,the seals have to make good contact. maybe he did, during the filming stop. also it would have been nice to follow thru the whole process of filling the system up with coolant, because you have to breed the system right there at those bleeder valves. unbeknowest to the novice at home diy'er,if you fill up the system without doing that step, you'd be filling it up with air pockets, and the coolant won't circulate as it should, and you will end up having a problem such as.......you guessed it...OVER HEATING!! he did the best he knew i guess. anyways,if ya gonna make a video of a process, show the whole process, correctly.
Nino NR Good deal. Keep up the good work bro. Without RU-vid a lot of folks would be either tearing stuff up,making it worst or spending lots of money at the dealer for something they could did at home for hundreds less. 😂
I took off 4 bolths on the top the 2 side ones then make presure with a screw driver IT came out no problem then put the two side ones back then the other 4 on the top .....done; thx for encourage my vibe I did IT and save around 50dlls to 100dlls depending the mecánic thx
I just replaced this part today didn't run yet should I open top and wait to see some coolant come out the top before tighting top post one or its good to go
So I’m confused because my 2009 charger is leaking and this part needs to be replaced. One mechanic was charging $800 because they said the whole part from the top to be removed and it was a lot of work So I took it to midas, they are quoting 170 to replace it But it seems like it’s a simple replacement that I can do… keep in mind I have absolutely no mechanic experience 😂.. any input greatly appreciated it
I didn't do it. Just be careful not to drop any antifreeze if by any case u drop the antifreeze. after installing just fill it up again to the required level. But it's up to you if you want to do it
so ended up going to my mechanic. he charged me $150dollars to replace the entire piece with metal hose attachment ... took him less than 2hrs. he raised the motor up and problem solved.
Dealers are not intended for out of warranty repairs. They are for warranty repairs only. If your vehicle is out of warranty do not take it to a dealer unless you have money to burn. Dealers have to charge the same rate they do for warranty service as they do general public other wise it would be like insurance fraud only its warranty fraud if they charge out of warranty repairs less they they charge warranty repairs.
Yo... what do i do if the pipe that run towards the back gets stuck? I tried fixing mine but didnt realize the pipe moves back and forth now its just stuck and im not able to move it far enough to remove the part
He forgot the last step. To bleed it. If you do not bleed the air out of the system, your check engine light will come and read coolant system malfunction.
Where did you buy the parts? Sometimes the parts are defective. That happened to me the first time. Then I bought the part in auto parts and 3 years have passed to change it and everything is fine. subscribe to my channel please.
Just ordered Dorman part #902-301HP from Autozone...I think 🤔 it’s made out of aluminum...gonna test it to see if it can last past 5 years, mines has started leaking. The one I currently have installed was a brand from O’reilly’s which did ok and lasted about 5 years down here in Florida...
