Amsoil is by far the best stuff. They make many other products too. Even gun lube.

Does the Amsoil gear oil have a Limited slip additive? They're not supposed to have limited slip additive even tho it has an LSD due to the synchro in the transmission. The LSD additive will eventually cause notchey shifting.

Matt, Did you happen to also replace the smaller o-ring on the end of the oil filter housing, if it has one like on BMWs?

WSM states to fill to 7mm below fill hole.

Also read conflict info on the gearbox oil change. How confident are you that this is a ‘fill till spill’? I’ve read the gearbox is ment to be filled 11mm below the fill hole.

Are use all the Amsoil products for my BMW. I use the signature oil. Also, use 5W50 Amsoil signature in my Kranzel pump.

Is that the same scam tool you used on your 718 GT4? I bought that tool, updated it on the laptop so I could register my new battery for my 2019 718 Cayman. When I chose the 982 option and it showed the list of functions. When I clicked on battery registration it wouldn’t perform. I ended up clicking on the 991 option and surprise it then performed and completed the new battery registration. Whether is really did or glitched, idk but since installing a new battery I’ve had zero issues. Of course it’s only been about 2500 miles and 7-8 months. I ultimately returned it to Amazon not knowing if it was the right scan tool or if a better option was out there. Im going to have to purchase one again to perform my oil service reset and brake fluids etc. ALSO, do you know when the spark plugs were done on the 997.2 RS? I feel like the spark plugs (and belts) are the most neglected maintenance item on these cars. Depending on type, Porsche typically calls for replacement every 30k miles or 4 years. I believe because they’re double platinum?
