Thanks for the comment about cubbing. Been wondering what is wrong with my Honda, when there is nothing actually wrong with it. On my European model FK2 the tires started to make this noise at low speeds and I found out that the inner surface was cubbing. Went to align the tires which was actually a good thing to do, but it didn't fix the cubbing (the left front wheel was out of alignment and it fixed the other uneven wear issue). Turned out that the rear wheels are the ones that start to cub first and I was about to change the rear shocks. But then I heard that it might actually be too low tire pressure (recommended 37psi) that is the cause. Been using 42 psi now, and the cubbing issue I think is resolved because the cubbing has not evolved and the tires wear nicely without any extra noise. Even the tires that had cubbing issues started to be more silent after a few hundred miles and the wear is more constant and even.

Putting the exact same shocks on my Civic. You questioned the installation instructions with regards to the top rubber bushing and retainer/washer. I thought you said you would install it that way but it 'appears' that you installed them opposite of what was shown on the instructions ...which makes more sense to me ...but what do I know. Could you clarify?

You put a allen key in the top of the screw to hold it still while you remove the nut at the top of the shock tower.

Those shocks are garbage on civic I have to change them every two years is there any heavy duty shocks for normal civic? Winter tires are heavy and they get cupped as well every other year. This is a real issue with Honda civic same issue with my 2006 and 2014 model. 😢😢😢
