Same exact issue with my 2014 Equinox. Thank you for this video. I cleared it and was able to use the remote start, however the second time I used it, it started, shut down and the same code popped up again. I’ll have to take it to the mechanic
I want to thank you for your video it really helped me to learn how to start the auto start on my Equinox that I've just bought. I thought something was wrong with the auto start when they've put a new motor in I thought that they didn't hook it back up but again thank you very much enjoyed your video. Also is there any way that you can send me the site on where you got the diagnostic tool for the vehicle cuz I would like to buy one
This has been happening to me lately I have a older scan gauge 2 and it was giving me a bogus code B2AAA I figured first thing to do is change remote battery I cleared the code and yes it worked right away only a few auto starts later the code came back actually this morning the car started with remote and about 2 min later it shut off . Code displayed B2Aaa then I did see a different code for a split second PO46 it seems that's the purge valve , I'm going to drive it without using the remote starter for awhile see if I get any engine codes if there's any problem even if the hood is up ,gas cap loose , etc seems like it messes it up .
I have a 2014 Chevy equinox. Went to start my car this morning with the automatic starter did not work engine light came on. I already placed camshaft Months ago so can it be the sensor on the automatic starter or the automatic starter? But I will go to AutoZone Just want you guys opinion what you think it would be
Hello I’m Damien J frm B’HAM AL, I hav an 2013 equinox, when I purchased it, it had 101,000 miles on it so I got and protect my car warranty and just so happen three months later the timing and the water pump went out and to take my car told me to take it to the Chevrolet dealership and it came out to $2200 and all I had to pay was $200 then too much later I had and Val cover leak, I thought for sure that they would not cover it by me having one claim after another but like clockwork they covered it and all I had to pay was $200 and the Chevrolet dealership told me it came out to 1200 so $470 a month for the warranty. it’s worth every penny because you get free oil changes they were told your car anywhere in the USA for free and they cover everything even if you have a supercharger or turbo charger. Also, they don’t go by mileage to start, all they ask is, is your check engine light on and what year is your car or vehicle? As long as it’s 1999 and up you are good. Just thought that everyone should know about this and is not a scam or a gimmick is just $70 per month protect my car warranty is the name of it thanks to all my Chevy owners..💯👍
well thank God I'm going to get my car looked at tomorrow cuz my engine oil light is on my traction light is on my tire tire pressure lights are on my car is a hot mess these equinoxes I don't know I've heard some bad things about him and I just got this about 5 months ago and it's been going downhill ever since then so I think we got us a lemon! and what is up with the stability track that's in these equinoxes?? they seem to cause a lot of issues and why would they put such a thing in a car when all it was going to do was give people headaches and cost more money as if we don't have enough bills as is!!!
All you did, you erased the faulty codes with your obd tester in order for the remote start to function. The check engine light will eventually come back on after 2 to 3 remote starts and after that, check engine will illuminate once again. You need to get those faulty codes fixed if you want to remote start your car as many times as you want to.
Sometimes codes get triggered but nothing is wrong. If you don't have the tester, unplug battery in engine compartment for a couple minutes, then reattach. Remote starter can work again and no codes. If the issue comes up again, look into it because an issue may really be there and not just an accidental code trigger.
