That's a mean looking truck man. If you could please let me know how much it was for the lift, tires, and installment I would appreciate it. Just got a ram and I'm trying to save up for this.
Octavious Mandangalang Lift kit was about $1500, tires $300 each, rims $150 each, 4.56 gearing front and back $600 for ring and pinion I believe, Detroit truetracs front and back $ 900 total. To install all of it not much at all cause we did it ourselves with help from a couple good friends. Total in parts about $5000.
Bro your the only guy I've seen who has the blacked out sport version of second gen. I have the exact same truck but with the Cummins. What color interior?
So I have a 99 ram 1500 with 30 inch tires and they rub whenever I lock the steering wheel, so I was thinking about a 3 inch lift. How would 30s look on a a 3 inch lift cuz these tires still have lots of tread and I really don't wanna buy new ones
It wont look bad I have 30's on a 4 inch lift and it looks good!!! I had new tires when I got the lift so I kept them on the truck because didnt want to buy another set and it looks good.
If you have 4.10 gears you will be ok with stock. I had 3.55's in mine so I had to regear. There is a gearing/tire size chart on the internet somewhere I saw that is very helpfull.
Hey bro I'm looking to buy a 1999 dodge ram 1500 for 7k and has 159k miles..All stock. .Are these trucks realiable? It's my first truck so I'm pretty excited about it..she says since it's a 99' it's not gonna last long. .what do u think about the dodge models like the one you have..have u had any major problems with yours? Sorry for all the questions man just want some info...badass truck by the way it looks sick
Very reliable. Ask about the transmission though, cause they can go bad. I have a 94 w/ 130k on it & all that I've really had to fix was the transmission, since it drove from Massachusetts to Florida. So unless you're doing any major driving, i'd say it's not bad. But I feel the price is a bit steep.
Dylan Andrews oh ok thanks man..and I'm buying it from a dealership bro i hope they might go down on the price at least $1k but most of the time they never want to lol damn how much did you pay to fix the transmission?
Dylan Andrews ahhh that's b why I'm sort of scared of getting a truck from that year range but it's all I can afford lol I'm pretty sure if I keep up with the maintenence it will be good
Yeah the transmissions are one weak spot as well as the front end ball joints. I replaced my transmission under warranty at around 50,000 miles. The price does seem to be quite high too, check for rust along the bottom of the passenger and drivers doors they really like to rust out there first. I would say shop around using craiglook aka claz.org to compare prices as well as using autotrader.
Okay say you say this is mudding yet you went through all into 2wd.. So why does it matter of someone lifts a 2wd. I've had both and my first truck was. If that's all you have you make do. And haven't you heard of prerunners.. So you thing that's not a reason to lift a 2wd truck.. Smhh
The caption said...throwing some mud!? That's a lie; saw you splashing some water. My ex-wife's chevett can do that- IN THE SAME PLACE! Put your big-boy pants on & go find some mud- legitimate mud that's someplace in the wild! Mud bogs are artificial & don't really count
