@@elluiz464 That’s not necessarily true, even with traction control and advance trac off my old 2011 would still override and cut power when power braking. The engine just bogged down when the brake and gas were held simultaneously.

They didn't turn off "ADVANCE TRAC" plus Traction Control. If you wanna do burnouts, doughnuts, and for luanching with out power reduction you have to turn off the Traction control then the ADVANCE TRAC. The guys in the video didn't do this they probably didn't know how so that's why the F150 would'nt spin the tires. First turn your truck on go ahead put it in drive while pressing plus holding the brake. Now press the traction control button once it will say traction control off now press the traction control button again and hold it down for 10 seconds this will turn off ADVANCE TRAC then it will say Advance Trac off. There you go burn your tires up enjoy.

The ONLY reason Ram got ToTY for the last two years in a row is because the only trucks eligible have to either of been redesigned or have had a major update. If Ram would've offered their ecodiesel last year when their truck was redesigned then someone else would've gotten ToTY this year. Theoretically, any truck could win back to back if they kept updating every year, so it's not really anything to brag about. What that says to me is the ecodiesel was either too problematic to introduce last year and they needed the extra time or it was rushed onto the market with little thought or testing. What can be bragged about though, is sales numbers. Ford consistently sales nearly double what Ram does. Ford has the sales AND popularity. Butthurt yet?

I have a 2016 Ram bighorn for a rental. The so called Hemi in this truck is lazy and not as quick as my 2014 5.0 XLT with 3,73 rear. Sorry Ram. Your just not as good.

+John Sechrest I don't know where these Dodge guys get their ideas. I drove a ram RT with 3.92. I was not overly impressed. Throttle repose was soft, transmission shifts under wot were sloppy. Just didn't pull like it should. I drove GM, Dodge, Ford 5.0 and ecoboost, and Toyota Tundra. the last two had the most power.

Jimmy Ray ram rt doesn't come with 3.92. it comes with 4.10 or 4.11. if you drove one with 3.92...either the salesmen that handed you the keys misspoke or you were just driving a regular cab express hemi ram. those come with 3.21 or 3.55 or 3.92.

I got 07 f150 5.4 I've hauled trailers a little bit so far my only complaint is the oil filter location

It's all about what you prefer! Honestly all three trucks are good but at different things. My pick goes to ford not only cause they have saved my life on both occasions but we're both over 250,000 miles with no major problems. I like all three of the trucks. No hating just my opinion I'm sure you have yours on why the Dodge is better.

Those new Rams are impressive. I worked at a Dodge dealer this summer and got plenty of experience driving them. I was very impressed with how hard they pulled at WOT. Almost as fast as my modded 14 F150 5.0. Not an insult at all though, because as stated, mine is modded and those Rams were all stock. Couldn't imagine the Rams with tune, intake, exhaust combo like I have on mine. Would run circles around my truck

I love all the Dodge fans bragging about how great the Hemi 5.7 v-8 is compared to the little old 3.5 v-6 even at the end with the F-150 getting a late start the big 5.7 could not walk off and leave the little old 3.5. Not to mention at the start he did a right to left weight shift in the Dodge to get it to do donuts and the poor guy in the ford didn't do no right to left weight shift and tried to go into a donut straight on at a higher speed anyone that has drove any stock truck knows that its just going to try and push the front wheels unless you have a manual shift that you can dump the clutch. But whatever kids will be kids and feel that they know it all.

Blade Anderson I have an EcoBoost and spent $850 for a premium level programmer and cold air intake together produces 487hp & 556 ft lb. torque. As one can expect, Hemi Ram Trucks looking to race are in handfuls. I entertained racing one prior to upgrades and was able to pull away a little each gear. Since the upgrades, I have accepted further invitations twice and it left them fairly quickly without much of a challenge. Funny though, one of the Ram drivers was beating his steering wheel as I quickly pulled away....maybe he wasn't fed all the correct info when he bought his truck as there now are a few stock trucks that are faster.

i don't like all this programmer crap i beat a 2014 silverado about a month ago he had the regular v-8 we said we would race twice first time i left him in the dust he never had a chance he turns his diablo trinity on he bought for about $800 i left him from the start but he stayed on my ass soon as i hit 6th gear he started catching me but we were racing a quarter mile i was able to stay upfront and win he made me earn that $300 lol

The way the world of horsepower or torque works when referencing stock show room daily driving vehicles is by flywheel/engine spec's same as all the manufacture's use when they market their vehicles. Everyone wants to be one step up on someone I guess regardless of how that's acomplished.

I was talking about once they were moving. They never outpaced the vehicles on the highway. A drag race that doesn't go above 60 or 70 MPH is pretty sad in my opinion. depends on the turbo & vehicle app, the Eco boost has twin turbos so it will have great low & top end power, small turbo for low end & big turbo for top end power ;-) Hemi Won this race fair & Square.

Joshua Edward The twin turbo eliminates the lag. The smaller turbo spools up without lag for a bit then powers the second one. You want a supercharger for high end power and a turbo for low. If you want it all up the range, have both. Though I'm not sure it's entirely possible.

KoVLiberty What? The ford eco-boost turbos are set up on each manifold, and are the same size. Additionally, if you want boost off the line and horse to follow, a blower with turbos would use a small blower with larger turbos, since no turbo produces boost at idle.

The point being, save money, buy a Hemi and supercharge it.

thats a lie.. since Ram branched off from Dodge in 2011 and became its own manufacturer, the Ram trucks have been much more reliable. you could probably say this in the past, but my 2013 1500 sport got 130k almost and I haven't had to do anything to the truck except regular maintenance .

Ram still would have won in towing i towed my 32 foot camper with my bosses ford f-250 it was ok and got the job done but when i got my 2007 dodge ram 1500 with the 5.7 hemi it pulled like a dream great on the interstate at times didn't feel like i was pulling the damned thing it might have been at the very top of its towing capacity at 8000 pounds great in town but i did have 5 speed transmission in it so it would pick up speed like it was nothing and hit 5th gear and it felt like you just lost all power but would quickly pick power right back up but for 1500 pulling something like that it did amazingly and hell of alot better then i thought it would have

For the tire`s they were good until winter my tires now are toyo`s open country a/t 2 those tire are the best I have had on my truck.

EXTREMEstreetCARS what school did you go to? Softer isn't "better", its just that, softer. You wouldnt use soft tires in the desert, just like you wouldn't use hard tires on snow/ice. Also, the Ford Platinum comes on 22" rims, look it up. Ford also comes with a stability control which can not be turned "off" it can only be "dumbed" down with the traction button, which does not allow for anyone to do doughnuts.

the RAM is a 4x4 not really gonna get a burnout with it he did surprisingly well on it. I didn't expect much from the ford because its a V6 even though its a twin turbo it won't make the kind of torque the Hemi did

I've beat the 5.0 in my ram also the 3.5L but i've also had a 2.7L ecoboost spank my ass too. I have to give credit to ford though they have the impressive truck to me. Great power in a turbo v6 both of them. Hell I laugh at gm on their tubo engines, they're bigger than fords and still not keeping up with power unless you count the biggest v8 which to me those #s are still a joke.
