A-pillar trim needs to come off, headliner needs to come down, at least on the side you're replacing, actuator for the airbag is near the back window with the plug. Replace the SRS module or see if it can be reprogrammed.
!You dont need to poke a hole! If your airbag is blown you can get to the metal clips from the front of the blown bag. If it's not blown, take off the trim peices behind the steering wheel and use a screw driver to release the clips. You don't need to poke a hole
