Hi I own a QX70S Infiniti 2016 model which runs on a AWD system. Can this vehicle be used on shallow desert areas?

The QX70 was never really designed to go off-road, aside from maybe some dirt or gravel roads and snow. There is not a lot of ground clearance on the QX70 so it sinks into the sand it could get stuck.

I think they might still be able to install them at the dealer through INFINITI parts and service.

I just purchased this same vehicle 2016 qx70s all blacked out with. 53k and I paid $24k in Massachusetts. Also bought a 5yr bumper to bumper warranty. It’s such a sexy vehicle and it handles so nice! I previously had an fx35 but this one is so much nicer with the black rims.

I think 2015 was the last year you could get a V8 in the QX70. They did not sell that many so it would be really hard to find one. The V6 makes 325-hp versus 390 on the V8 and generally the V6 has been proven to be longer lasting than the V8. When new for about $10k more for the V8 most people got the V6, that's why they did not sell that many and they are so hard to find used.

@@petercnun4512 No the QX80 is a full size luxury SUV like an Escalade, the QX70 is a midisze performance crossover similar to the Porsche Cayneene or Macan

Dumb random question. My wife and I both drive infinitiy’s. Hers is a QX60. Why is the 70 smaller than the 60? If you didn’t put a title I’d assume it was the QX50.

The QX60 is larger but the QX70 is considered more of a premium luxury/performance crossover where the QX60 is more of a family luxury crossover. QX70 evolved from the FX35/FX45 which has been INFINITI's flagship crossover since 2003. The QX60 is also a platform mate of the Pathfinder and build in the U.S, where the QX70 is built on the more advanced FM rear drive platform and assembled in Japan. There has never been a Nissan version of the QX70, though many think the Murano is, but the Murano is also built in the U.S. and based of the front wheel drive Nissan Altima platform. The QX70 was dropped after the 2017 model year anyways, so now the names really do reflect the vehicles size.

Interesting thanks for the detailed insight. It’s quite the combo, it has the same steering wheel as her car and console and gear lever look exactly like the G37 sedan I have.

@@therecplayer1368 Yes the QX70/QX50 (2017 and prior) is built on the same platform as the G37, mechanically they are almost identical, that's why they seem so similar.

@@infinitioftacoma1 Why is the 2014 QX70 V8 so rare. I understand it is the same as the 2013 fx50 but even that too is super rare. I currently drive an FX45s and need an upgrade. Couldn't find either the v8 version of this or the FX50s. So far, I have seen only 2 in the US (not for sale) and 1 in Canada (listed for sale but you know the pain that comes with the importation of vehicles). I have called all the Infiniti dealerships I know, even the dealerships want them. lol. Now I may have to settle for this V6. It has more power (325hp) than the FX45 (315hp) though not by much, I'll take it I guess.

@@lcsighteken2248 The V8 was about a $10k premium so most people got the V6. We sold V6 ones 10 to 1 when new so INFINITI ended up dropping the V8 option since we were not selling enough. The V8 was an awesome options and if you can find one its a great find. I can say this from a reliability standpoint the V6 is much more reliable. The V8s have a tendency to start smoking around 150K and at that point its time for a new engine. The V6 regularly go 200-300k miles and have very few issues.

You sound annoyed like "uhg I hate saying all this crap just give me money so I can put gas in my overpriced bmw" also nissan isn't hot... You put cvt transmissions in full size SUVs that used to be cool. Hot is the last thing I think of when describing nissan... The QX70 makes me think... Damn that is a big hood and zero cargo space....😂

The QX70 doesnt have a CVT and there is no other product Nissan makes thats similar to it except the 370Z which is shares its Platform with, and we all know how boring 2 seat RWD sports car are ;-)
