2017 Lexus IS200T Remark Axle Back Install

Hey thank you! I've never been stopped for having the axle back. I think the exhaust note is louder in the car than it is outside. No codes at all though and you shouldn't have any since it's just the axle back and the o2 sensor is on the Cat-converter. I would say that the performance comes when combined with other performance mods. I love that it's not too loud which is what I wanted out of an exhaust mod. @tylerkimdura6690 Yes mine did but I read somewhere that OEM ones are better so if you have those maybe you can reuse it. (Assuming yours didn't come with any gaskets)

It's the AR style spoiler. It's carbon fiber but I just paint matched it.

I was afraid of the same thing and about how loud it'd be but it was surprisingly pretty quiet and not ricey sounding at all. It's a deep tone with little drone at highway speeds when cruising. I'm not a fan of loud exhausts and this one gets a thumbs up from me.

@@2slo4u Had to revisit this comment. Love the deep tone in the low end and louder sound when flooring it. After about a 2000 mile drive It feels way too quiet now. 10/10 would recommend though.

In this video the car was on Rev9 coilovers. The ride was great for being such a cheap suspension and I'd highly recommend it for daily driving. It actually felt better than OEM and felt better than being on air ride right now. Very smooth and with the 32 way dampening I'd run them again if I had to.

The main reason they're stating 2017+ is because of the rear diffuser difference. Our exhaust tip openings are different so I'm not sure it'll fit unfortunately.

Yeah for sure exhausts for any car are a hit and miss. I'm use to the exhaust tone now so it doesn't bother me too much anymore, especially because I have music playing. I'm sure my car being turbo muffles the sound a little too.

@@2slo4u I am giving it a few week to use if I am okay with it or if it start to affect the car. Also, I dont know if this is just me but when I lightly step on the gas at lower gear and rpm. It sound there is a bouncing exhaut sound or jerking exhausting sound. I dont know the word to describe it. So idk if this is normal with the muffler delete. I dont see that boucing showing on the RPM. I am still new to this modding because i just got this car from a 2013 modded prius lmao.

@@astudentpilotlife the sound you hear may just be something you aren't use to hearing yet so you'll notice everything, especially coming from a Prius haha

Where would I be able to purchase a axel back?

I'm on the Racechip right now. Maybe I need to try another tune to compare it all but it seems quicker than stock for sure.

Have u had any problems with the tune? Will this affect my engine in any significant way other then what the tune does?

I did what you suggested as well. The only fix I was able to do was getting a longer hanger for one side and then using no hanger on the other and it helped a little bit. I'll be cutting the tips and straightening them out soon though. No mpg difference noticed. If anything, any drop in mpg would be because of the intake because of the noticeable turbo spool noise

@@2slo4u what’s the difference between Remark Axle-Back Exhaust Pipes for 14-16 Lexus IS (Single Wall Ti Tips) and Remark Axle-Back Exhaust Pipes for 14-16 Lexus IS (Double Wall Ti Tips)

@@mitshylebrun2205 From how I look at it, single wall tips look like , a pipe is just cut in half and that is then burnt to make the ti look. For double wall it has the "rolled" look. Google will be able to better show pics of what I mean. I personally like double wall since it shows the muffler tip more (for show)

Hey, it's actually Plastidip that I sprayed myself in my driveway. This color costed me about $400 to mix up ( I already had the sprayer) . Dipyourcar sells kits based on the size of your car. Very DIY friendly.

It's actually just a universal one I got off Ebay back when they were crazy expensive and not too available but now they have some pretty cheap ones that fit the IS better
