296 HP?!?!?!?! its a very sad day when toyota give its MINIVAN a more powerful engine than their midsized truck........

We ordered one in September and just took delivery of our new 2017 Sienna SE with preferred package for $38K out the door (tax and fees included), this is a significant upgrade from our 2002 Sienna LE. Love the SE bodykit, 19" wheels, LED DRL, new powertrain, and the BSM/RCTA, this is a good soccer mom mobile.

great van, just bought a 2017 LE and it rocks! that V6 3.5L is really on gas with the Eco mode but if you put your foot down, it goes!!!! The SE trim is really beautiful, I would look for one next!

I can't wait for the comparison between the Chrysler Pacifica, the new Honda Odyssey and this Toyota Sienna. I have a 2015 Toyota Sienna Ltd (FWD) and love it, but would like the extra HP & Torque for fully loaded applications. Looking forward to your review!

toyota will always have much over pacifica or even honda and that is reliability.

Around 1:39 you mention the Chrysler minivan and say it is port injected. I believe you meant to say it is direct injection not port injected. Direct injection tends to build up carbon deposits on the valves since gasoline doesn't wash over the valves to clean them like in a port injected engine. Hence is why you mention the self-cleaning feature which likely means it is primarily direct injection (in-cylinder) but can switch to port injection to clean the valves.

Funny thing when I test drove a 2017 I did not find it any quicker than my '14. The tried and true Lexus drivetrain.

This engine and transmission should have been put in the Tacoma.

Seems to me that all 7-passenger versions are basically the same mechanically, with the exception of FWD vs AWD yet... FWD 7-passenger version, 1,000lbs towing capacity AWD 7-passenger limited, 1,000lbs towing capacity Fwd 7-passenter limited, 3,500lbs towing capacity Nathan, nobody has been able to explain to me why that is. Any ideas?

After owning a 2013 for 2 years, (AWD) I would say that you would want to wait until Toyota does a complete redesign. The AWD was incredibly rough and noisy. I've heard they have change a little bit in 15, but I doubt that it is enough to make it desirable. BTW... we traded the van out for a Grand Cherokee, which is much much much quieter, and more capable.

My wife would probably like this.As for looks I'm not real sure how much can be done with a mini van.

Toyota should consider bringing the Alphard or Vellfire over to make the mini van market more exciting!

How is such a large vehicle that runs the same engine as the highlander, yet somehow gets better fuel economy?

As a reviewer please do better on vehicle options, trim , and suspension packages before you review or rate them. This model the SE version has the better brakes tires sway bars. Has nicer front and rear outside trim. This would be a better van to compare against the Pacifica.

now what is Chrysler going to come out with a Pacifica that make 310 horsepower with an optional all-wheel drive

There should be a redesign in 2018

I really Want the Sienna to have a Column Shifter in the next model so there can be a little bit more room on the dash and maybe the center console (like if you agree)

19mpg lmfao!!!! thats a joke back when my 1999 Chrysler T&C was new it was 17mpg with the 4speed auto also it is a 3.8l v6. Not much improvement
