This guy's a college student and works part time. How the hell does he afford a $50K car? When I was a college student, I worked full time, I drove a Mazda 323 hatchback, and I barely had enough money leftover to buy decent food!
How much oil were you putting in it? I keep hearing that dealers are only putting in 8 quarts in 2018-2020 when it should really be 10. I REALLY wanted one of these cars but all the research I've done has kept me from going through with it. There are so many buy back cars for sale in my area that is scary.
I had a 2016 V6 Mustang. I loved it, but always wanted the 5.0 I did have a few issues with mine too. When it was cold outside, id start it up on a cold start. The car would make a horrible humming noise in the front wheel area when I would turn it as I backed out. Ford said they couldnt replicate it. I thought it was power steering but they said that was fine. Also my glove box light wouldnt turn off even when it was closed. The radio would randomly stop working sometimes and then the A/C broke within the first 6 months of owning it. They fixed that though. Even with the issues I still enjoyed the car a lot! I still plan on getting a 5.0 in the Fall.
My 19 has the tick during warm up. One weird thing is that the tick is worse in cool humid weather. Cold weather doesn't effect the tick but cool humid days make the tick much more noticeable during warmup, that doesn't make any sense as far as piston/connecting rod noises go so it must be something else.
At least it runs! I have a 2012 mustang v6 with 96,000 miles and my back suspension broke and I have no power steering lol. I’m stuck with it for 3 years living paycheck to paycheck. So your issues not that bad. I love your car!!!
Yep, once the gas light comes on i don’t mess around. the price of gas is like admission to an amusement park. We have performance tracks in the metro area, so that’s the safest place to open up and enhance your skills. i love the orange, it brings out all the details. Enjoy your GT, and... 😬 go easy in the parking garage. Looking for to seeing more Mustang adventures on your channel.
xrmerkur Yeah I don’t normally speed in parking garages but that garage is always dead and i was far from potentially hitting someone haha so no worries there (and worst case scenarios i have my godly brembo brakes)....but thanks i appreciate it hoping to pump out more content soon, almost at 1k!
How do you afford that car as a college student? All good lol. I was thinking of trading my 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71. After hearing all your issues I think I will keep my truck.
Holy crap, when I went to college I sold my 1987 5.0 for partial tuition; got a 1991 notchback 2.3manual And that stupid 4 banger stanger was solid, perfect for a student.
Nice car! I have the Roush catback exhaust and I like it. I have the eibach 2 inch drop springs and a Lund tune. I don’t daily mine but when I do drive it on the weekends, I still enjoy every second of it! Take it one step at a time and your mods will come together for you. Nice mustang!
Corsa double H sport catback. Absolutely beautiful sound and not stupid loud. I thought about going with the extreme catback but if I run headers in the future after warranty that would be way way too loud.
also have you checked that the door rattle isnt just the passenger seat belt flopping around a bit hitting the door its worth a check buckle the belt in and see
Schicksalz Haven’t bought one yet but it’s for shifting faster and it’s a more precise shifter mounted directly on the transmission unlike the stock shifter
I’ve been wanting a orange gt and thinking of getting a 2020 thankful you made videos on it, is your car naturally that loud or did you put something into it?
I've got Flowmaster Outlaw with x pipe and it sounds real good. I get a lot of compliments from it. They usually say it sounds different than other exhaust's. Anyways at the end of the day your choice bro!
Get the Roush if you want a muscle car style type of sound. It’s deep and aggressive. Corsa is just loud and raspy. I have the roush. Never getting anything else again lol.
I have a 2019 GT with zero problems ie no rattles or no ticks. Don’t know what you’ve seen or looking at in terms of Roush exhaust. My exhaust was installed by Roush. It is not spherical. It is tight, oval shaped mufflers & I personally think it looks better than stock GT. It has black quad tips & they are large As far as the oil . .. lose the -> weasel piss warranty oil * Roush recommends 5w-50. And yeah, you don’t have a Roush .. But, you like spirited driving. Sometimes the ticks are (especially with the LS engines) coming from the fuel injectors. They .. LS engines sound like sewing machines. Ford has to recommend 0w-20 & 5w-20 because of CAFE standards that are mandated by the Gooberment. If you go outside the USA, Ford does not recommend that WPWO* If you live in a warm and/or hot environment, you could use 15w-40. But, Not when temps go down in forties & below. And, for anyone saying about oil , “it’s about tighter tolerances” Please, do not compare tolerance of thousands of an inch to molecular size.
I have a door rattle that seems similar to yours. I know it hasn't worked, but what was it the dealership did to try and fix it.? Might give me a clue...
@@luciancastillo1337 I have a 2008 civic SI and have run nothing but shell v power or Sunoco ultra 93. Why risk it for a few quarters per gallon in savings right? Oh and have driven it 182K over the past 14 1/2 years. In all that time only three check engine lights which were for the starter motor, alternator, VTEC solenoid, all occurring way past their expected due dates. Not that it is connected but still on the original clutch as well
Get a cheap daily driver bro. I have a 2020 kona blue GT 10 speed pp1 with the magnetic ride. I drive a 06 VW Passat with the 2.0 turbo and its a really fun daily driver. Mustang stays under the cover till the weekend. And yes go with corsa extreme. Expensive but worth it.
Did you finance it? If so How much do you pay a month? I just got mine and pay almost $700 per month. Everything the same as urs package except mine is blue.
I’m the same way as you any weird sounds especially on car you pay so much money for would drive me nuts. I personally own a Challenger R/T 2020 I have Zero issues, and the transmission is perhaps the best shifting I have experienced. For the money you paid a 392 could’ve been a better option🤷🏼♂️ Idk keep doing what you do man your vids are great 💯
Caffeinated Motors I know its crazy because I’m fascinated by the coyote engine and its power 🤤. I almost bought the car you have but the deal just wasn’t right and like you I work and pay for my cars. Just fuck it man it has a warranty dog it til something blows up😂 Then you can tell your ford mechanics to “replicate the sound”🤣
Dude It’s Probably A Broken Panel That Makes It Rattle, And I Wouldn’t Rely On Dealerships To “Fix” Your Car, I’d Experiment With The Car, Remove Whatever Is Rattling And If It’s Broken, Buy Another Piece
Caffeinated Motors all I can tell you is to go to the dealer and ask them, you May have to go to a couple of different dealers but since ford released this TSB stating that it’s normal, buy backs will be that much harder to accomplish
Lonestar Stang Dude i know all this lmao i went through a case. They were cooperative and cared but they couldn’t get an answer from ford WHAT was causing the noise . They’re full of it, this noise isn’t normal. Explain why it only sometimes happens, explain why it gets worse with oil changes. Explain why they went through tons of 2018’s and bought back thousands (including mine) Explain why they don’t have answer as to what causes it.All of a sudden it’s now normal?! 😂 Okay
Why clickbait? I wish these fucking your Uber’s would just be real and make videos.. every good damn video doesn’t need to be a fucking clickbait.. wtf lol.. this shit just gives the mustang a bad image. 1000’s of cars with the tick have been torn apart with nothing wrong. A handful have had issues but that is due to other issues. Usually it is because the car is 2 quarts low on oil to start with since the dealers like to out 8qts and the 18-21 takes 10 qts. Drive the damn car and stop worrying about noises.
never but a 5w20 in v8 because the heat from the engine will make the oil like water it is a big V8 you will destroyed your engine 5w20 is for 5 and below 0 C for normal 10 or 15 C use 5w30 and change it every 4 or 5k max again it is a V8 it will eat the oil faster than 4 or v6
I have a 2018 GT manual i get 25 avg and close to 30 on hwy I drive it like a normal person and do a lot of hwy driving they get great gas mileage on hwy and when you are not flooring it all day. its not the car its the way you wanna drive it thats killing the gas but if you are not worried about getting a ticket just keep on doing it the way you like i guess what im saying is im too scared to drive like that i would love to but i know ill get nailed by the cops lol
Kenny Thomas Thing is i’m pretty good at knowing when and where to be a little crazy, and i never go to any crazy speeds like these other dumbasses who go 140-150 daily. What i mean by floor is more so revving higher than normal, hearing my car, and doing a few full throttle pulls here and there, i’ve never got a speeding ticket and never will
The MPG is totally how you drive it. Ours gets 20.5mpg with a 21yr old behind the wheel that also owns a 2019 STI. that gets 18.5mpg. Your engine tick, go with 5w-50 since you beat the living shit out of your car. reflected by your piss poor MPG. The tick is loss of pressure to the VVTC system, Ford put out a bulletin back in 2011 on all track pack cars which are today's Performance Pack cars. You can't lemon law a car for a tick alone. You're young, you'll learn down the road. Until then enjoy the car as best you can.
You can e85 in that just run the tank under 1/4 tqnk and fill up with e85 the pcm already has the programming for e85 all 5.0l engine are designed by ford that way just read the owner manual it will tell everything about your car
